Counter Attack Chapter 89

Just as Chi left the airport, he received a phone call from Gang.

'I found the snakes.'

Chi followed his leader into the car without showing many emotions, simply asked, 'Where are they?'

'In camp.'

Just two simple words, a long moment of silence.

Chi had thought of the possibly too; because his uncle is in camp, there are snakes in the camp too, they're everywhere and are being watched, so not many people would find out. But his dad and his uncles have been fighting with each other under the table for a long time, his uncle doesn't have any sons, he has been jealous of Chi, he would be glad to see him becoming a good-for-nothing. So if his dad really went to seek assistance from his uncle, it's as if he's burying his head into a bucket full of shit, he's admitting that Chi is useless and he has no control over Chi.

But now Yuan really went there, he would much rather lose his dignity than lose control over his own son.

'How did you find out?' Chi asked.

Gang said, 'I went to the trading market today, I noticed one of them selling snakes that are rather peculiar, he saw that I have an interest in buying them so he told me that these snakes worth a ton, they're all stolen from the camp. The first thing I thought of was that bunch of yours, the watchers of the snakes wanted to earn some money so they sold some eggs to the breeders.'

'Okay, I get it.' 

Gang then added, 'So let's...'

Chi hung up habitually.

Leaning back and closed his eyes, then thought, it isn't an easy job to get that huge bunch of snakes out safely from the camp. If he's going to war with Yuan, his snakes will die, so before he thought of a bullet proof plan, he has to follow Yuan's suit, try to lower his guard down if possible, then he has a higher chance of success.

Just as Gang left the market, Wu arrived at his destination.

He walked into a huge tent, after looking around he laid his eyes on a rat snake, 'What's the price?'

The guy lifted two fingers, 'I won't sell lesser than this amount.'

'So expensive?' Wu pouted, 'There's one over there selling at 150.'

The man's eyes bulged, 'His quality must differ! Man, just take a good look, my snake weighs 3 pounds heavy. Feel free to look around, my price is guaranteed to be the best.'

Wu proceeded smilingly.

'Little guy, do you want snakes for meal or pets? Take a look at this pet snake.'

Wu scanned across the variety, then he spotted a bamboo snake, but its skin color was lacking as compared to Jealous. Although Wu is a color blind, he can still differentiate color intensity and brightness. It's rare to see snakes with such vibrant color as Jealous here.

After walking a short distance, a few terrarium attracted Wu.

After seeing those cheap and common snakes, it's interesting to see these snakes. Due to his job, Wu would search up on snakes on the Internet when he's free, he could classify the different breeds, mostly the common ones. Seeing so many at the same time, then look at the vendor who dressed clean, he couldn't help but  be surprised, how did he get so many rare snakes in his hands?

'Little boy, I can tell you're a professional, choose any of it here; if it's not up to your quality you can wreck my stall.'

Wu took a snake in his hands, then threw a suspicious glance at the vendor.

'Where did you get these snakes?'

He smiled sinisterly, 'You don't need to care about it, I won't cheat you.'

'Then I don't dare to buy from you,' Wu then put down the snake, 'If it's wild caught, it will die within a few days I buy it, it wouldn't worth my money then.'

'Don't worry about that, it's reared since born!' The vendor swore.

Wu squinted his eyes, he wouldn't let go so easily, 'Reared? Who could've raised so many rare snakes? Must be smuggled!'

The vendor's face scrunched up, 'Hey, do you really want to buy?'

'I wanted to, but you're hiding the truth from me, I'm not feeling safe, I think I better not buy,' he turned around and about to leave.

The vendor shouted from behind, 'Hey wait there!'

Wu stopped right in his tracks, revealing an evil smile on his face.

'You're forcing me to speak the truth!'

'How am I forcing you?' Wu defended, 'If you were to buy something, the origin is unknown, do you dare to buy? Plus we're trading animals here; if it was to carry any viruses, how dangerous is it!'

The vendor sighed defeatedly, 'Fine, come over.'

Wu went closer to him.

The vendor then repeated the words that he told Gang to Wu.

Returning to the clinic, Wu excitedly told everything to Shuai.

Shuai was shocked, 'What you mean is, you have leads on the missing snakes?'

Wu nodded aggressively.

'So your efforts are wasted?'

Wu frowned, 'Why so?'

'You call now, to Chi, tell him to get the snakes out on his own, mission accomplished? He's using Yue Yue to convince his father anyway, now he has found his snakes, Yue Yue has no value to him now, it's natural to break up, didn't you reach your motive already?'

Wu's expression is horribly bad.

'We can't do that.'

Shuai was fiddling with a pill in his hand, probed curiously.

'What do you think then?'

After Wu have thought of it for a moment, simply said, 'If I told him everything, he will definitely think of a way to get them out, then the conflict between him and his father will worsen, it will be mission impossible then. I think I should assist him secretly, I can get the snakes out, also make his dad be at disadvantage, now then I can guarantee a success.'

Shuai aimed the pill in his hand on Wu's head.

'Ask yourself, are you trying to get them to break up? Or you're just trying to get together with him?'

Wu's heart dropped, but there's not a single hesitation with his superb acting.

'No shit Sherlock, to let them break up!'

Shuai then revoked, 'Why are you so concerned about the snakes then? You want to help him out, then dissolve his conflicts, which of those are your concerns?'

Wu puffed his chest and protested, 'I was just trying to do some good. I used to cheat and lie to him, but I finally have a chance to reclaim myself, don't I need to do something for him?'

Shuai temporarily puts down this topic, going straight to the point.

'Is the plan about Yue Yue going to work?'

Wu raised his eyebrows.

'Why won't it? If they were to break up, she will definitely look for Chi's mother. I must let Chi hate her, then she won't have any chance to take!'

Shuai highly suspects that Wu's enemy has slowly changed.

'Let's talk about practical stuff,' Shuai knocked on the desk, 'You're a nobody, you don't even know anyone in the camp, how are you going to save all the snakes?'

Wu wriggled his fingers, motioned Shuai to lean closer.

'If they can smuggle eggs out, why can't a snake?'

After hearing this, it has aroused Shuai's interest.

Then, the two started to plan on this secret mission.

Chi and Yue Yue took separate flights, after landing, Yue Yue was sent to the hotel, Chi accompanied his leader around just to show like they're really on a business trip, then he went back to the hotel.

After having dinner, they walked along the streets.

'You mom said to have a meeting with both me and your parents, then we will discuss our marriage'

Chi had a cigarette in his mouth, his stiff features radiating chilliness.

'We'll talk about it later.'

He threw away the cigarette, turned and went back to the hotel.

Lying in the bathtub, enjoying the sensation of her skin after being moisturized, fantasying about their night, how great must it be without Jealous.

'Chi, bring my nightgown in for me,' she shouted.

 No one replied. Yue Yue's flirtatious eyes are gleaming under the light, she stepped out of the tub and wrapped a towel around her body, revealing half of her breasts and covering a small section of her legs, then walked out of the bathroom while twisting her butt along the way.

'Chi, didn't you hear...'

She was rooted to the ground before she could even finish her sentence.

Chi was looking down at Jealous, who has a huge responsibility and task, in his hands!

'Didn't you leave him at home?'

'Shipped, I can't bring pets into the cabin, I just received it.'

After saying that, he smooched on Jealous' snout, nakedly showing his affection to it.

Fire was raging inside of Yue Yue, she couldn't take it anymore, but to take care of her image, she didn't let her ugly side to show, she composed herself and went back into the bathroom.
