Counter Attack Chapter 183

When someone is in a dire situation, his conscious would be clearer than ever, all of the confusing matters would seem to be resolved at this point. Wu was driving his car when something suddenly popped up in his mind, he stepped on the accelerator.

20 minutes later, he has arrived at Shuo's house.

 He still has the key back from when he renovated his house, he hasn't returned it till now, Wu just went straight it and noticed the lights were still on, as if it was a silent welcome.

He quickly ran to Shuo's bedroom and pulled open the glass drawer, took out the USBs and flipped through them one by one.

Finally, he found out the last USB.

He can't wait to insert it into the computer, a window popped out and it was the same video as before.

But Wu saw that the space on this USB is full, usable space is almost zero. But his own USB has the same space like this one, they have the same amount of the footages but Wu's wasn't even half full yet.

It's obvious that there's secret footage hidden in this USB, he left it behind when he copied the footages over.

Wu once again used a combination of Chi and Guo's name to unlock the password to this secret file.

Uncorrupted footage appeared on the screen, Wu felt like his heart has stopped.

Soon, Chi, Guo and Shuo appeared on the screen.

This is a CCTV footage from a hotel, not sure if Shuo demanded this or he threatened the owner for it. The resolution was rather clear, their voices could be heard as well.

After a while, a staff knocked on the door and sent in some alcohol.

Just like the footages before, the trio was sitting around the table and started drinking, Chi and Guo kept on pouring drinks for Shuo but Shuo has a great alcohol tolerance, so in the end, the two got drunk themselves.

Soon, the three got onto the bed.

Shuo and Chi were sleeping on the same bed, Guo was sleeping on the other one. 

A regulated snoring could be heard from the video.

Shuo was the last one to fall asleep, just as he hugged onto Chi, he could hear Chi call out a name.

'Guo...'

Wu could see the obvious change of expression on Shuo's face.

Then, Chi did hug Shuo back, but he called out for Guo, he had lost count of the times he called Guo's name.

Shuo's face changed from bright red to flashing white.

His eyes were wide open, despair started to fill the void in his eyes, Wu was staring at his eyes and it felt like he has seen a reflection of himself. But the difference is, he could still sit on the chair calmly, Shuo, on the other hand, has done something outrageous.

He had got down of the bed, the room lit up after 5 minutes.

It was another room.

Shuo carried Guo onto the bed, he stripped both of them down to nothing, two naked flesh was tightly hugging together, they did not move an inch for three entire hours.

The door has been kicked down, Chi showed up on the door with an awful expression.

Then, the video stopped.

Wu's beating heart also stopped at that moment.

As expected.

A call for Guo, a misunderstanding, an urge blinded by anger, destroyed the 6 years of their lives.

After Wu has left, Chi dashed out of the venue after him, his body was covered with bruises, his wrist was broken, when he was driving his hands were trembling tremendously.

But he has driven all around the streets, he still didn't spot Wu anywhere.

He would never have guessed that Wu was at Shuo's house at this point of time, quietly solving the mess that has nothing to do with him.

Up until the next morning, Chi's arm has swollen up, the blood on his body has already dried up, but he still hadn't found Wu.

He rested his head against the headrest, forcing himself to calm down.

No matter how hot-headed Wu is, he wouldn't play the missing game, no when his mother is gravely ill, he will go back home no matter what.

When he came to that conclusion, Chi drove straight to Wu's home.

He was afraid that he would frighten the old lady, he even changed his outfit halfway and wiped away all his dried up blood.

Wu's mother was still having a headache at home, when she saw it was Chi she thought her saviour has arrived, she grabbed onto Chi's arm desperately.

'Chi, you finally came.'

Chi's heart clenched, he thought something had happened to Wu, he asked, 'What's wrong, Auntie?'

Wu's mother sighed, 'Yesterday, my son's ex-girlfriend came by out of nowhere, she gave me gifts and even massaged my shoulders, her voice was so sickly sweet.'

Chi's expression changed, 'Then?'

'Then she said, she couldn't forget about Wu, she wanted to reconcile with him. She said she has been keeping contacting with Wu for the past three years, he also has means to reconcile with her. She wants me to talk to Wu so he could take the first initiative.'

'They have been keeping in contact?' Chi's brows were knitted together.

Wu's mother nodded, 'Yeah, I've told you about this before, that lady was really pretty, they dated for 7 years.'

Chi didn't say anything.

She added, 'That lady is also quite realistic, in the past she used to look down on my son, saying how poor our family is. Now my son got promoted, he was also growing more and more good-looking, now she wants him back. She still said that everything was a misunderstanding. She still complimented my son, I was so annoyed when listening to that.'

'Don't put it into your heart,' Chi encouraged, 'There are a lot of people like her.'

'You can't compare these two things,' Wu's mother said, 'You can't rush a marriage, you have the pick the right one, you can't just accept anyone! Just like Yue Yue, you think I will say yes? She can do whatever she wants, she can dream on! She was bullying us because we are good-tempered, I can't accept this kind of woman!'

Chi thought he heard wrongly, 'Who did you just say?'

'Yue Yue! I forgot her name, but now she has repeated countless of times to me.'

Chi still was in shock, he probed, 'Is it Yue Yue, or Yue Yue (as in moon moon since they have the same pronunciation)? Is that her nickname or full name?'

'Full name,' Wu's mother told Chi clearly, 'Her surname is Yue, her first name is also Yue, she was a classmate of Wu during university, they've dated for 7 years.'

Chi could feel something in his brain snapped.

Wu's mother grabbed on Chi's arm and told him, 'You have to tell my son to not fall for her again, that kind of woman is trash, he would regret this in the future as well. Tell him not to keep thinking about her, and tell him to stop contacting the girl. He listens to you well, your words will definitely go into his head.'

Chi didn't know how he managed to walk out of Wu's house.

He was driving on the road, Chi's mind was constantly replaying the words that Wu's mother just said.

'She has been keeping in contact with my son for the three years, he also has the means for reconciliation.' 

'Her surname is Yue, her first name is also Yue, she was a classmate of Wu during university, they've dated for 7 years.'

Chi stepped on the accelerator and sped all the way to the clinic.

Guo was also badly hurt, Shuai hasn't even got back until now.

There's only the guy in the clinic, Chi walked into the clinic with anger radiating, the guy turned around and saw him, he quickly stepped a few steps back.

'Are you...unwell?'

Chi said without any expression, 'I'm feeling sick inside.'

'So, how do you like to treat it? Take meds or...'

Chi simply said, 'Just get out of here.'

The guy stood straight on the spot.

Chi glared at him fiercely, he pointed at the door.

The guy ran and almost rolled out of the clinic. 

Chi walked straight into the room, rummaged through the drawers and even forcefully opened those with a lock on it, he still didn't find any suspicious document. Then he squatted down and looked under the bed, he found a huge box.

There were two locks on the box but they got knocked down by Chi's bare fist.

There were two stacks of books, those were when Wu was starting to get close to Chi and to get his attention, and were related to the course that Chi took when he was in university.

The leaflet was still inside one of the books as well, that time Chi was really touched when he saw that, now looking back at it, he smelt a suspicious 'motive'.

Chi continued rummaging through the pile, he then dug up a photo.

The two people in the picture were blinding his eyes.

The firm belief in his mind has somewhat fallen.

Then, he continued to dig deeper, he found a thick file full of achievements.

'Chi Cheng, Male, 28 years old, son of Chi Yuan Duan, the secretary of the town council, his hobby is keeping snakes, often called as 'Snake Guy'...'

'Today's achievement: After my plan, his pet has officially used to eat my food, he was also used to my 'flirting'. This is a good beginning, I need to buck up, tear them two apart!'

Both of them have accounts of each other, but Chi kept his account inside his heart but Wu chose to keep it in a book.

Shuai once warned him not to write down anything on paper.

Chi scrunched up all the evidence, stayed in silence for a while.

The ugly guy called Shuai the moment he got out of the clinic, telling him that some terrorist has hijacked the clinic.

Shuai then called Wu, telling him that Chi is in the clinic.

When Wu received the call, he was wandering along the street where he and Chi first met, he has left Shuo's house long ago and has been walking along the street for 7 to 8 hours now.

He ended the call and got into his car.

His car was speeding on the road, Wu took a glance at the USB in his bag, his heart is weirdly heavy.

After taking another step, he is officially done with this matter.

Standing at the entrance, Wu's mind was rather calm.

The door was being locked from within, Wu couldn't open it so he decided to knock it down, the door has opened with a loud bang.

Chi was sitting in front of the desk in the clinic, quietly staring at Wu.

Wu's feet were rooted by the door.
