Counter Attack Chapter 178

When Chi arrived at the hospital, Wu was sitting outside the ward with his head hung low.

'You knew it?' Chi asked.

Wu stared at Chi's pants, he didn't raise his head nor say anything.

Chi placed his huge palms on top of Wu's head, pushing down with the force from his palm, 'Be strong, there will be a cure.'

Wu still hung his lead low.

Chi's low and stable voice crashed from above again, 'How serious is this? You can't even stand such a small thing.'

Wu's gaze averted to Chi's belt, but it never moved past the point.

Chi knocked on Wu's head, 'If you continue to act like this, your mom has wasted all her love on you.'

After hearing this, Wu finally exploded, a sturdy fist came flying straight to Chi's face.

Chi didn't budge, but Wu felt a tearing pain inside of him. Then he crashed straight into Chi's body and threw his fists all over, pulling his ears, grabbing his hair, scratching his face.

'Aren't you fucking ignoring me? Didn't you kick me out? Who told you to come here? Who told you? Get lost, get lost...' Wu's voice transitioned from trembling to sobbing, then he was wailing, just like a sharp dagger stabbing into Chi's heart, it was going in deeper and the pain was more intense.

Slowly, Wu couldn't talk anymore, he bit on Chi's neck, his mucus, tears and blood were intermixed and the sadness enveloped the entire hallway.

Chi couldn't bear to say any more harsh words, he carried Wu to an isolated corner, with his hand on the back of Wu's head and said, 'Wei Wei is the strongest, this doesn't even mean anything, we have the financial power to cure her. If your mom has the right attitude and mindset, she can definitely recover.'

Gang was agreeing to it at the side, 'Yeah, we know an old lady, she was diagnosed with cancer in her 30s, she didn't have money so she didn't even bother seeking help, but she's still alive, she's already in her 80s.'

Wu was complaining while crying, 'Why didn't you tell me earlier? Why didn't you tell me earlier?'

Chi gave Gang a hand sign, hinting him to buy some tissues.

After a while, Gang handed Chi a packet of tissues, Chi pulled out a couple of tissues to wipe his face while hoaxing Wu in his gentle voice, 'Wipe it...don't cry again okay? Look how everyone is looking at you, how will they think of a grown ass man crying like this?'

Wu felt much relieved after he cleared his nose, but he couldn't control himself and his shoulder started to shudder again, Chi then let Gang wet a towel with warm water for Wu to wipe his face.

After a long while, Wu finally got himself together, but there was still no life in his eyes.

'You're colour blind?' Chi finally asked.

Wu gloomily glanced at him, 'If you didn't know about this, you wouldn't even come right?'

'The timing purely depends on when I had enough of the time being alone.'

Wu didn't say anything, he was trying to regulate his mood, wanting to let his mother see a happy version of him when she wakes up. Maybe at times like this, giving a smiley face to your parent is the best thing you could do for them as a child.

'I want to get my mom the best doctor, the best ward, no matter how much it costs,' Wu said.

Chi said, 'That's right.' Wu took a couple deep breathes, he felt much better inside.

Not to lie, Chi's words really meant a lot to Wu, before Chi came, a bunch of people has given pieces of advice to Wu including the doctor himself, but he refused to listen to any of them. Chi's words of comfort trump hundred of others, even if the words were meant to lie, whatever that's from Chi's mouth meant so much more to Wu than any other's.

Chi grabbed onto Wu's arm, 'When your mom gets better, come home with me.'

'I'm not going back with you,' Wu said grumpily.

Chi gave him a squeeze on the back of his neck and said, 'Why didn't you tell me you're colour-blind?'

'Why should I?' Wu said bitterly, 'Based on my knowledge, I tell you, you will definitely do something to make fun of me, maybe make me wear some clothes with weird colours.'

Initially, Chi didn't have the plan in his head, now that Wu reminded him, Chi will have to remember it.

Wu glared at Chi, noticing Chi was smiling out of nowhere, he immediately punched him into his stomach, 'What evil plans are you thinking about?'

Chi held onto Wu's hand and laughed, 'How do you know I'm thinking of evil stuff when you aren't thinking about it yourself?'

Wu didn't reply. Soon, the nurse on duty walked out and told Chi, 'The patient has woke up.'

Wu sprang up on his feet, he was walking towards the ward frantically.

Chi grabbed his arm from behind and warned him, 'You dare to cry, I'll tell our stuff right in front of your mom.'

Wu really believed in his words, after walking in, seeing Wu's mom's frail complexion, his tears almost flew right out.

But Master Chi was standing right behind him, Wu didn't dare to do anything else, he can only keep everything in all he can. 'Mom, you're awake? Are you feeling any better?'

She smiled at Wu, 'I'm fine.'

Wu nodded, 'My mom is so strong! What can possibly happen to you?'

Wu's mother was worried to death, but after hearing from Wu, she immediately felt relieved.

Before leaving, Wu's mother held on to Chi and said, 'Thank you for keeping this a secret from my son, if he were to know this, I wouldn't be able to stay here peacefully.'

Chi gave her hands a squeeze, didn't say anything much...

'Finally caught you,' Guo said to Shuo.

Shuo snickered, 'What caught? You're saying as if I'm a refugee.'

'You know it best yourself,' Guo placed Shuo's medical records in front of his face, 'Explain this, what is going on?'

Shuo still acted as if it was nothing, 'Everyone has a mental illness, you didn't consult a doctor before so you think you're perfectly fine. I've been taking drugs to keep my mental health in check, but I forgot it today so you better choose your words wisely, I might bite.'

'Stop pretending in front of me,' Guo was playing with the tea set, 'I've given you enough respect, you have ruined my reputation for 7 years but I didn't do shit, know your limits.'

'Hey, how can you be this irresponsible?' Shuo teased, 'You're bullying me for the fact that I'm not a woman, after a round of sex, I can't bring the child as a prove?'

Guo gave him a look, 'Where did you buy that medication? Stop eating it, you're just making it worse.'

Shuo was puzzled as well, 'Since you think we didn't do anything that time, why did you quietly let me dirty your name for 7 years? Based on your brain, you're not that dumb to fall into my plan right?'

'Weren't I just follow along with your plan?' Guo snickered, 'Without you leaving like that, will I have a complex relationship with Chi for 7 years? Isn't there a saying 'Hatred comes from love'? I wanted to give it a try, see if I can create love out of hatred.'

Shuo's expression turned immediately, he gritted his teeth and said, 'There's really something going on between you and Chi.'

Guo has easily gotten the motive of Shuo's plan, then said, 'You really did that because of this reason.'

After a while, Shuo finally realized that he has stepped into the trap, but it's too late to regret it.

Guo slowly said, 'I'll tell you why I didn't expose you for the past 7 years because I'm more humane than you are. I knew you're using me, trying to provoke Chi with the thing between you and me, making him unable to forget you after so long. I can take in such things better than you do, so I decided to let you off the hook. But out of my expectations, you're really trying to ruin me, and it's because of some vague evidence that you got.'

'Vague?' Shuo laughed, 'That vagueness is too real then, catching me off my guard. I was really disgusted by how close you two were, he's lying on my bed but he's calling out someone else's name, he was calling out your name the whole night, really made me want to fry you in a pan.'

Guo tossed away the teacup in his hand, steadily landed in the middle of the tray.

'That was because he was drunk, that period of time you two were having huge fights, he was constantly drinking at my place, when he's drunk there was only me by his side, who else he should call out for?'

Shuo said, 'Even if he's not drunk, all he sees is you.'

Guo gave him two words, 'Bull shit.'

'He can withstand being away from me for 7 years, but he can't bear to hurt you for real, Guo, do you still not get it?' Shuo stood firm in his opinion.

Guo raised his hand, Fine, I'm not going to argue this with you, the mind of someone crazy is really insane, I can't comprehend it.'

Shuo raised his brow, 'You should learn it from your Shuai.'

'No need,' Guo said, 'I have learnt enough, stop trying to make anything up, what if I tried to ruin you next time?'

Shuo didn't really care, 'What can you bring out to prove that we didn't sleep together before? Do you have a hymen on your dick?'

'Are you addicted to ruining yourself?' Guo asked.

Shuo said, 'I just don't care if you insist on clearing my name.'

Guo didn't have words to say.

'Do you hate me?' Shuo asked.

'It's not illegal for someone with mental illness to commit murder, how does this even compare?'

ps. I just realized that it would take another year or two to finish this book HAHA but I'll try to do this faster. maybe when I have summer holidays, I'll update more frequently.
