Counter Attack Chapter 187

After work, when Chi walked into an elevator, Zhang from the next department stepped in as well.

There were only two of them in the elevator, Zhang was trying to find a topic to talk about.

'Today's Thursday, Wu's coming to fetch you right?'

Chi ignored him and walked out the elevator with a black face.

Standing outside the building, Chi was thinking about where to settle for dinner tonight, another colleague of his came up to him to flirt, 'Mr. Chi, you're waiting for Wu to come, right?'

Chi took a glance at her, the colleague immediately ran away.

He drove to a small neighbourhood, Chi wanted to go down and buy some food, he passed by a fast food shop and the boss was standing just right outside the shop. When she saw Chi, she went up to ask about what he's up to recently.

'You finished your work? Come in and have a look, we have freshly cooked venison.'

Chi walked in and took a look or two at the array of food in front of him, there's a tray full of braised duck wings that Wu likes.

The lady noticed that Chi was staring at the duck wings so she asked, 'Do you want some?'

Chi nodded.

'How much do you want?' she asked.

Chi replied, 'Just add how much you think it's enough.'

The lady said while filling up the bag with wings, 'You are so different from Wu when you are buying stuff, if it were to be Wu, he will never say it's up to me. He will say: "Give me nine of them, not one less or more." If I gave him more he will never say anything to me; if I gave him lesser, he will definitely add on something else, he will stare at the weighing balance till he's satisfied with the number then he would pay for it.'

Her husband also joined in the conversation.

'Wu is especially funny, he always buys 9 of anything that he buys, I asked him why not buy 10 of them? He said there are two of you are eating 4 each, he can't split it if he buys 10. I say how can you split between you two with 9 wings? And how can't you split with 10 wings? Isn't four each person equals to 8 of them? Then he secretly told me to spread chilli sauce all over the largest wing for himself, hahaha...'

The lady boss laughed along as well, 'Yeah, by the time I return his change he would've already finished the wing, he even told me before leaving the shop, if one day a tall guy came to the shop, don't tell him that he ate the wing by himself.'

The boss added, 'Especially not about when he ate chilli sauce.'

'Yeah yeah yeah.'

'Hahaha...'

The two were joking around with Chi without restraining, no one has noticed that Chi's expression is really bad right now.

Before he left, the lady boss even asked Chi.

'I haven't seen Wu for quite some time now, did he move away?'

Chi hummed in response.

'Hey...I say, he used to pop by every other day, I actually do miss him now that he's not here. Last time he said he wanted to eat some glutinous rice but it was sold out, I told him to come the next day but I've never seen him since then...'

The lady boss was still engrossed in her own narrative, Chi has already left the shop.

When Wu was still here, Chi would buy some ingredients back and the two of them would make a mess in the kitchen, one would wash the ingredients the other would make the noodles, no matter what the result turned out to be they would be happy to eat it anyway. But now it's only him, he doesn't even step in the kitchen anymore, the potatoes that Wu bought before leaving were still there, it doesn't rot easily in winter but most of them have grown sprouts already.

Some people, if they went out or went back home, the yearning for him is sad yet blissful; but when he had gone for real, that emptiness doesn't even include a single speck of happiness at all.

"Wu Suo Wei", these words are like mines in Chi's heart, even if he stepped on one of them, it would explode into pieces.

He has left without any hesitation, he just left a shelf full of sugar sculptures.

Few hundreds of realistic snake models were displayed there, some of them were raising their small heads, some of their tails were sticking out, there are different patterns all in all. Not sure how did he differentiate the colours of each snake, and how he managed to remember each and every one of them without any mistake.

Chi ate his dinner and went for a shower, when he opened his closet, the pants that Wu bought him was still there.

In the past, he didn't bear to wear it; now, he doesn't feel like wearing it.

Wu didn't bring anything at all, he only brought away the pants that Chi wore last year.

All of this just shows that Wu's departure is on purpose, but it wasn't due to Chi's estrangement.

And just because of this, Chi can't find any excuse for Wu anymore.

Guo was playing snooker, Wang whispered to his ears, 'Shuai is here.'

With a hit, the ball went into the hole.

Guo threw the pole to Wang and walked right out, at first he still had a sick smile on his face, but when he reached to the door, he quickly kept the smile away and a cold poker face surfaced.

He was rather patient to be honest, ever since his 'crime' has been washed away by Wu, he acted as the victim and didn't contact with Shuai for over a month.

He was trying to express that, I'm really being wronged by you, now you have understood the truth you should be coming to find me, get it?

In the end Shuai really did come knocking on his door, how could he let this chance go?

So when he first saw Shuai, the first thing he said to him is:

'What are you doing here?'

Shuai smiled, 'Nothing, I'm just here to look at you.'

Guo's expression may seem rigid and stiff, but deep down inside his heart has been melted by this smile.

He thought to himself: Look at yourself, I really want to tie you up in the bed, spread your legs and fuck you to death.

But he said, 'Look at me for what?'

'We haven't seen each other for so long, I was wondering if you're alive still,' Shuai doesn't back down.

Guo propped himself against the door frame, looking at Shuai's face with a cold gaze.

'I've been framed for nothing but I've been living great, now that the truth has been revealed, my life has gotten nothing else but better.'

Shuai was cursing inside: Fucking hell, didn't you merely walked out of a mess? It's not like you've grown an inch or something, do you need to be so stuck up? If it weren't for your balls, you're probably flying in the sky now, right?

Even so, Shuai still gave some respect to Guo.

'Past is the past, let's go in and talk,' he dragged Guo behind him as he walked into his house.

Guo pulled Shuai back, his tone was still as cocky as ever.

'Who is forgetting is past? Who is talking with you? Didn't you say there's something between me and Chi? Forget it... Go back, don't waste my time here, my entire being is very dirty, I don't measure up to you innocent little flower.

Shuai doesn't give two shits, he continued to proceed deeper into the house.

Guo's butterflies are having a party in his stomach, but his tone doesn't change at all.

'Who allowed you in? Hey, why are you so shameless? If I were to weigh your skin, wouldn't it be enough for me to make some dumplings? Let me tell you Shuai, it really is like what you've said, there's an affair between me and Chi, we both have been flirting for years now. I didn't feel that before you said it, but after you've mentioned me, I realized that I really do find Chi quite attractive.'

'Yeah yeah yeah...you can go now, why are you being a lightbulb here? Get lost before Chi comes, do you hear me?'

Shuai gave Guo a dirty look.

Guo pinched on his cheeks.

'Why are you glaring at me? I tell you, you're the one who was saying all those things, now it's too late for you to regret, my heart belongs to Chi, you can scurry back to your bed and cry.'

Shuai finally said, 'Guo, don't get too far I warn you.'

'What? I'm just saying the truth!'

The two of them were having their best time, suddenly a voice barged in.

'I can prove it.'

Guo's body froze.

Chi walked from behind steadily, he hooked his arm around Guo's neck, looking down at Shuai.

'Guo is mine, you can stop causing trouble here.'

'I say...' Guo said softly, 'Why are you here?'

'What are you talking?' Chi replied composedly, 'I even brought my stuff along, we will be a family from now on.'

Guo said with full of grimace, 'You don't act too far off, my man has a small heart, he can't take in too much shock.'

'Who's acting with you?'

Just as Chi finished saying that, he shouted behind Guo, 'Move them to the apartment on the sixth floor, find someone else to follow you, don't you dare go into the wrong one.'

Guo turned around and almost fainted. Great! Blankets, carpets, closet and drawers...literally everything!

'No wait, you are serious?'

Before he got his answer, Shuai has already left.

Just as Guo was about to run and get him back, he was pulled back by Chi's strong arms, forcefully dragged to the opposite direction, he said while walking, 'Don't dote his nasty behaviour too much.'

Guo was furious, 'Who dotes on him? Do you even have the rights to say that when you dote on Wu excessively?'

Chi placed his huge palm on Guo's nape and turned Guo's head around to face him.

'Me, Chi, your childhood friend, I want you to talk with me one on one, can I?'

Guo relaxed his shoulders, then punched into Chi's chest.

'You're great at picking the time, out of all of the other times, you must come here now.'

Then, the duo walked upstairs with arms around each other's shoulders.
