Counter Attack Chapter 38

One day apart seemed like three years.

This is a suitable phrase to describe Yue Yue who was in love.

Her head couldn't contain anything more than Chi. She didn't have the motivation to do work, she didn't have the mood to go shopping, when she was chatting with her friends, she would always mention Chi in every sentence. Chi didn't care, his eyes were fixed on the television.

Yue Yue was caressing Chi's cheekbone, 'I'm talking to you, do you hear me?'

Chi glanced over at Yue Yue, 'I thought you liked me acting like this?'

Yue Yue was about to talk, then Chi's phone rung.

'I'll go pick up a call.'

Chi left and Yue Yue would search through Chi's jacket, as usual, then the pot of Da Bao rolled out of the pocket.

'Da Bao?'

Just when Yue Yue said the two words, Wu's face popped out in her head.

Chi returned to the room and took away the pot from Yue Yue's hands, he took out some and applied it on his hands. The sensation of the product melting into his skin made him thought of Wu's pair of bright eyes.

Yue Yue asked, 'Why do you have the same taste in products as my ex?'

'Ex?' Chi squinted his eyes.

Yue Yue rolled her eyes, 'He really loved this brand, he bought one when he was a freshman, he used that single bottle for four years, it hasn't even hit the bottom after he graduated. I'm really impressed with him...'

Chi rubbed his rough finger against Yue Yue's soft lips, said, 'Follow me back home tomorrow, my parents will be pleased to see you.'

Yue Yue was taken aback, home? To see the municipal leader? Are we progressing that fast?

Grand wedding cars, dream wedding hall, members of the top of the social pyramid congratulating me... Yue Yue kept thinking about it at night, she couldn't even fall asleep. How she wanted to sleep with Chi on the same bed, but that damn snake was always there, staring at her with that pair of evil eyes.

'Chi, can you lock it up in the bathroom?' Yue Yue pleaded.

Chi grazed Jealous's small head lovingly, 'Don't you like him?'

'You can't put it on the bed too! Do you wish us to sleep on different beds after we got married?'

Chi stared at Yue Yue, 'You sure?'

'I'm very sure.'

Just a snake, he could only live for ten years, so what if I mess with it?

Then, Chi heeded Yue Yue's request and lock Jealous in the bathroom for the first time. 

Who knew, things didn't go as well as Yue Yue planned, which she will be discussing with Chi about the meeting with his parents. Instead within the first minute after she laid down on the bed, Jealous has turned the knob of the bathroom door, then it slithered onto the bed without Yue Yue noticing. Yue Yue almost shit her pants, but she calmed herself down to prevent exposing herself.

'You'll carry it back in.' Chi said.

'.....' 

After walking out from the bathroom, Yue Yue's legs turned wobbly. She had locked the door tightly. Please don't come out again, please don't come out... Yue Yue was praying sincerely.

In the end, Jealous did never come out again, but it didn't give up either. it wrapped itself around the knob, trying to open the door but in vain. It then started to use its head to knock on the door, for the whole night non-stop.

The night was hell to Yue Yue; when the door knob twisted, her heart was twisting too. Chi was sleeping beside her, but she didn't dare to make any noise. When Chi talked to her, she even had to pretend to be calm. She was so scared that she even wanted to go back to the other bed.

In the morning, she had dark circles around her eyes. She swore silently, she will get rid of that thing one day!
