Counter Attack Chapter 159

Shuo got a concussion from the slap of his older brother Wang Lian, he slept for two whole days. He should be leaving the next day, but because of this slap all of their plans have been disrupted, this also proved that Guo's predicament is correct - you won't leave.

Lian has arranged Shuo to a hospital for treatment, he has always been by his side, sitting like a statue, he doesn't even move an inch. Every doctors and nurse who are tending Shuo needs to have a breather before going into the ward because they feel like they might not make it out alive.

The two days that Shuo was hospitalized, Guo went to pay him a visit.

Then Shuai broke this news to Wu.

Wu didn't know how Shuo's head injury was inflicted, but deep down he felt like it has something to do with Chi. So he took some flowers and a fruit basket, went to the hospital to visit Chi's old partner.

'Which ward is Shuo staying in?'

The nurse on duty told Wu, 'Room 309, walk down the hallway, it's the second to last room.'

Wu started walking towards the room, he then knocked on the door when arrived at the room.

After a while, the door has been opened.

Appeared right in front of Wu's eye level was a neck of a man, all the contours of the muscles were like drawn on, it was so muscular and defined to the point that it seems fake. With the height of 1.9 meters, Wu can only greet him by raising his head.

'May I...'

A stone hard expression came to sight, Wu felt threatened and backed up a few steps.

That's not an exaggeration; after Wu clearly inspected Lian's face, he totally forgot what he wanted to say, he has the urge to run away at that second. There's no the best, there's only better.

He thought that Chi was intimidating enough already, but after comparing to this guy in front of him, Chi suddenly appeared as a very kind brother; plus Chi knows how to crack a joke, this guy just looks like he was built of tough muscles, there's no room for activity.

But contrary to his appearance, Lian was very polite.

'Who are looking for?'

'Wang...Wang...Wang...'

Then Wu barked like a dog for the rest of the time. (Wang is the pronunciation of the word 'bark' in Chinese.)

There's a subtle smirk on Lian's face.

 Before coming, Shuai has already informed Wu, all the while when Shuo was hospitalized, his brother has always been by his side. Since his brother looks like this, so Shuo...Wu doesn't even want to imagine anymore.

Shuo just woke up and he looked out to the door, a neat looking young man walked into the room.

When he saw Shuo, Wu was relatively surprised, did he walk into the wrong ward? Firstly he feels like this person is too ordinary, the image of Shuo in his mind doesn't relate to the actual person. Secondly, he doesn't think that these two are brothers, one of them is so bulky and buff while the other looks so emaciated, their appearances definitely have a certain amount of differences. But by looking at the patient's report in front of the bed it was written 'Wang Shuo'.

After lurking in town for half a year, Shuo definitely saw Wu before. 'You are Wu?' Wu then confirmed that this person is truly Shuo, he placed the fruit basket and the flowers aside, respectfully reached his hand out to Shuo, 'Nice to meet you.'

Shuo laughed out, 'Don't be so caught up with the formalities, we don't care about these here.'

Wu insisted, 'Since you're the senior, the more I should do this.'

Shuo was laughing for half of the day, he was laughing so hard that the apples of his cheeks hurt from laughing too much.

A powerful voice shot across the room, 'The doctor advises not to be so excited.'

Shuo's laughter immediately stopped, then he said to Lian, 'Get out from here, don't be such an eyesore in here.'

This doesn't really affect Lian that much, but it did give Wu a shock, he didn't know where did Shuo find that kind of courage, how dare he speak like this to a terrorist?

But what blew Wu's mind further was how unbothered Lian was.

'I can keep quiet but I won't go out,' then, he sat at a place less than a meter from Wu, tore open the fruit basket and took out the jackfruit, split it in half with his bare hands skillfully. Wu felt like he was watching a horror film.

'Relax, he doesn't bite,' Shuo reminded at the side, Wu only laughed awkwardly, 'So, how's your head?' Shuo said, 'There's no problem solving subtraction within 10.'

'Then let me test you,' Wu said, 'There's a monkey on the tree, there's a monkey on the ground, how many monkeys are there in total?'

'You're belittling me?' Shuo smirked, 'Even though I live overseas, but my heart has always been in the country. Every Chinese New Year's eve I will definitely tune in to watch the celebration show, I have never missed out a year.'

After chatting for a while, Wu put down his guard, 'I think I kinda like you,' Wu said.

Shuo asked, 'Why?'

Wu said, 'Maybe because you look just so ordinary,' then he laughed right after.

But Shuo wasn't angry at all, then asked, 'How long have you been together with Chi?'

Wu thought, 'Almost half a year I guess.'

Shuo teased, 'When are you going to break up?'

'Make a guess,' Wu replied.

Shuo thought for a while, 'End of this year.'

'So fast?' Wu looked shocked.

Shuo said jokingly, 'I'm guessing that your Hawaii trip is going to be canceled.'

Wu squinted, 'How did you know I'm going to Hawaii?' Chi only told him about this trip.

Shuo calmly said, 'Your teacher and Guo just came back from the Maldives, you were jealous, you must've proposed a trip plan to Chi, Chi loves surfing, the first location he would choose is Hawaii then. Your company is so busy that you wouldn't be able to squeeze out some time now, so it must be at the end of the year.'

Wu only wants to know this, 'How did you know it was me who asked him?'

Shuo caressed Wu's hair and said, 'You're just a child.'

'I wouldn't say I'm a child, I'm just younger than you,' Wu said humbly.

Shuo smiled then turned to Lian, 'Don't eat it all by yourself, cut some f...'

Before the word 'fruit' can be spoken, he realized the basket was already empty. Wu also shockingly found out that, at first he thought he was seeing things, then he saw the bin beside him was full of fruit peels, then he slowly swallowed saliva. Bro, I know I'm cheap, I bought a little lesser fruits, but you didn't need to embarrass me like this?

Shuo suddenly remembered something, then asked Wu curiously, 'Why did everyone call you "Metal Head"?'

'Because I can break bricks with my head,' even though he can't do it anymore, he still feels very proud to say it.

Shuo smiled, 'Then you can have a talk with my brother, he also has this ability.'

Wu looked at Lian surprisingly, then he soon realized that it was nothing much, his whole person looks like it was made out of metal, which part of his body isn't tough? He doesn't dare to converse with Lian so he asked Shuo, 'How many bricks can he break in one go?'

'He doesn't break bricks,' Shuo said.

Wu asked, 'So what does he break?'

'Metal plates...'

He couldn't stay here for any longer, Wu looked at his watch, then stood up and told Shuo, 'I still have work to do, I'll visit you again next time.'

'I'm getting discharged in a day or two, I'll visit you then.'

Wu nodded, 'Fine, then I'll make my leave first.'

'Wait,' Shuo suddenly said, 'Help me tell Chi this: I'm just messing around that night, don't take it too seriously.'

Wu said, 'Alright.'

'Lian, send him out,' Shuo said.

Wu waved, 'No need for that.' Even so, Lian still sent him out.

Just as Wu was about to leave, Lian suddenly asked, 'Why do they call you Wu Suo Wei?' Wu suddenly choked, he thought about it for a while then said, 'Because I'm not picky about my name, so I'm called Wu Suo Wei.' Lian didn't say anything much and went back in. Wu felt it was ridiculous, what is this person thinking about?

The hospital's carpark was really huge, all the prime parking spots have been take by the VIPs, Wu have to drive a few time around to finally found the exit. Just when he was about to exit the parking lot, he spotted Chi's car in a distance away, just parking at a place not far from the entrance, the location is very easily noticeable. Wu slowed down his car, he called Chi while driving out slowly, 'Where are you?'

Chi replied, 'In the office.' Then, Wu's heart dropped.

'I'm going for a meeting, I'll call you later.' Then the call dropped.

Wu threw his phone onto the passenger seat, then stepped onto the accelerator and drove towards the main road.

After Chi hung up, Wu's mother immediately asked him, 'Was it from Wu?'

'No,' Chi said, 'Don't worry.' Wu's mother looked concerned, 'I didn't know how serious is was this time, I wouldn't have called you if it wasn't because I had bile discharge, I have to trouble you to bring me to the hospital. I'm just worried that the disease got worsened, then it would be worse then.' Chi didn't say anything, he saw a doctor that he knows and brought Wu's mother into the consultation room.
