Counter Attack Chapter 136

Now, Wu doesn't dare to sit and wait for Chi's call, he straightaway called Chi himself.

During the constant beeping, Wu's heart almost jumped out of its cage.

Calm down, I must calm down, the more anxious you show, the more guilty you sound, you might make the problem even worse... Explain to him calmly, this is just a pure coincidence, it's the lady who has been making the first moves, he doesn't have any affection towards her.

It dialled through! 

He immediately blurted out, 'It's just a wonderful encounter.'

After a minute of silence, Wu realized a very serious problem, he added an unnecessary word.

He mustn't be anxious at this moment more than any time, he told Chi sternly, 'I made a mistake just now, actually I wanted to say it's a coincidence, it's not wonderful in any way, please don't have any wrong ideas.'

Chi said with calmer tone, 'Why don't you might as well tell me that you pronounced it wrong?'

'Yes! Yes!' Wu exclaimed excitingly.

Yes? Chi almost blew up, at first he thought that hearing Wu's voice will calm him down slightly. Looking at this situation now, it feels like his concern is unnecessary.

'FaceTime,' a short yet powerful command.

Does Wu dare to pick up?! He can get the shivers when hearing his voice if he sees Chi's face isn't that going to haunt him for the rest of the night?

 'There's no Wifi in the room,' Wu said.

Chi flared up, 'Are you telling me that you want me to call the hotel's manager, let him place a computer right in front of you?'

Wu feels very indignant, but Chi can make anything happen, so he didn't dare to fight back.

The camera is turned on, two of them looked at each other.

When Chi sees Wu's face, his sharp gaze has also softened a bit.

But Wu still feels that Chi's fists will pop out of the screen at any time.

'We met on the plane, she was just sitting right next to me, every other guy in the cabin has talked to her before, I'm the only one who remained seated. She talked to me first, she even gave me her number, look!' Wu took out the paper from underneath his pillow, he waved it in front of the camera.

Seeing Chi didn't react to any of his explanation, Wu is starting to feel unjust.

'Aren't you a little too petty? Didn't we just have a meal together? Haven't you eaten a meal with a lady? There are so many pretty girls in your department shaking their butts at you, I didn't even say anything, who are you to say me?'

Chi kept quiet.

Wu is the one who's angry now, 'Are you a man? If you are, then stop doing such useless stuff!'

Chi finally spoke.

'I'll go to the club right now.'

Wu immediately protested, 'No! I dare you not to go!'

Chi said coldly, 'I'm just going to have a drink, nothing special.'

'Who are you lying to?' Wu was worried.

Chi's face is as gloomy as ever, 'Then who are you lying to?'

Wu was stunned.

'I said I'm going to have a drink and chit chat, you didn't believe me, you expect me to believe that you're not interested in her?'

'I went to a cafe, you're going to a nightclub,' Wu said.

Chi added, 'In your mind, do you think having an affair is only after you've had sex? For a cup of coffee, you went to perm your hair, does that not count?'

Wu was really speechless.

An unnegotiable command.

'Go wash your hair!'

Wu kept a straight face, quietly walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower.

The phone is just next to it, Chi stared at Wu's rolling Adam's apple, then he said, 'Take off your clothes.'

'I've showered already,' Wu said.

Chi shouted once again, 'I told you to take them off!'

Wu froze right at his spot, there're still white bubbles fizzing away on top of his head.

'Haven't we did enough 'certificates'? Must we do one on SM so that you will listen to me?' (Ahem, fyi, in one of the previous chapters, they said having sex is like having a certificate, like a marriage certificate, to prove that they belong to each other.)

Wu rubbed his hand down his face, angrily removed his sleeping robe and his underwear and walked under the shower head. Because of his wrath, he was being stared at as well, Wu's movements were very rough and swift, he finished after a while, he pulled a towel and was about to wipe his body dry when another command was being given.

'Don't wipe it, stand by the wall!'

Wu was standing super straight, his perky butt has outlined an alluring figure, the water droplets from his hair dripped onto his back and rolled down to his butt crack along his spine, his tanned skin tone appeared dewy due to the vapor in the bathroom.

Even though he was really angry, seeing the sight before him, Chi really misses Wu a lot. He realized it was a huge mistake for letting Wu leave his side.

'Put your hands on the wall, lift up your butt.'

Wu was ashamed to death, but after seeing Chi's deathly glare, he quietly followed the orders.

'Hit it yourself, hit until it swells,' another command was added.

This time, Wu would really rather kill himself than follow his orders.

'Why are you acting like this? Let's just sort this out, we can solve this problem without all these fusses, is there any use to solve relationship problems with violence? You can beat anyone you like, but I won't hit myself, you may not feel sorry for me but I feel the pain!'

Chi asked, 'You're not going to do it, aren't you?'

Wu persisted, 'Yes!'

'You just wait.'

After a few days, Wu fully understood the meaning of 'wait'.

He never thought to wait was such a miserable chore, he feared, he worried, he felt indignant, he was angry.... he was so afraid that Chi would pop out from somewhere, he can't even sleep properly. But on the other hand, he was hoping Chi would appear so he can explain to him; so that he can be at ease again. 

He never replied the lady ever again, Chi didn't call him either.

Not sure if Wu was scared or angry, he actually changed his return date out of the blue, he paid for the process, he extended his schedule, he will return 3 days later.

He then knew, while he was out of the office, the company has landed into quite a huge problem.

The secretary reported to Wu, 'I heard the customer was directed by Mr. Liu, he got a huge supply of goods from our company, then he requested for refund by claiming damage due to man-made causes. He said he will make things big if we refuse to cooperate, he has made quite a ruckus in the office, everyone was more or less affected by him. Then Mr. Chi came, he agreed to the customer's deal.'

Wu's expression tightened, 'Then? Did he really pay him?"

'How can it be? Does Mr. Chi look like that kind of person? Can he be the loss party?'

Wu thought so as well, 'So how did he settle it?'

When talking about this, the secretary looks like she's talking about Jesus.

'I don't know much about the details, I just heard that Mr. Chi went to find the customer at a place they have agreed on, he just opened his car boot, there was a lot of cash in it, but there are a lot of snakes as well, he just stared at the customer.'

'Mr. Chi just told him this, "Take it, the money you wanted!"'

'Who dares to take them? He ran away straightaway.'

'Mr. Chi said, "You didn't want them yourself!" Then he closed the car boot and drove away. Then it was rumored the next day Mr. Liu was bitten by a snake, not sure if it's true or not.'

Wu asked, 'Is there any beef between Chi and Mr. Liu?'

'I think it was because of Chi turning down Mr. Liu's invitation to his birthday party, Mr. Liu held the grudge till now.'

Wu didn't ask further, his secretary returned to her work after that.

Actually, right after he hung up the call that night, Chi booked tickets to Xiamen, he wanted to go there the next morning. But in the end something like this cropped up, Chi couldn't settle it on time, so he might as well cancel his trip.

Mr. Liu isn't any good either, it's not easy if Chi wants to solve this grudge by not making some losses. He didn't really rest for the past few days, he was so busy that he couldn't even call Wu.

Not only he didn't inform Wu about it, he also warned everyone not to call Wu.

That's why after that incident has happened so long, Wu didn't even get a small nib of the news.

Meeting the lady in secret,  their relationship has met problems, extending his trip for no reason, Chi solved his company crisis for him... after all of these had happened, Wu didn't even dare to appear in front of Chi anymore.

He has been hiding in the company for the past two days, he didn't go to Chi's place after work either, he has been spending most of his time alone.

It's a public holiday, Wu moved back to his house, he also helped his mother to clear out the junk in the house.

 They were cleaning their rooms that morning when Wu realized that his mother had a lot of branded outerwears, so he asked, 'Mom, who bought you all these?'

Then she replied, 'Why is your memory worse than mine? You bought these for me last month!'

Wu was shocked, then he asked, 'Who sent them here?'

'Your colleague! That Chi!'

Wu's heart clenched tightly, his gloomy expression became more depressed.

'Eh? What a coincidence!' Wu's mom's voice can be heard from the yard, 'Speaking of the devil, here you are! Oh my, so many stuff again, I haven't eaten the pork ribs you brought last week...'

Wu looked out, his eyes spotted that huge frame, his expression purpled.

Just wait, wait...I finally waited for the day to arrive.

'Son! Your colleague is here, why don't you come out?'

'......'
