Counter Attack Chapter 165

A while after Lin has left, Wu received a call, he said to Shuo after hanging up, 'I have to settle something urgent, I can't accompany you any longer.'

'No problem, you can go to work,' Shuo said, 'I'll leave after this cup of tea.'

Wu didn't say anything much, he just walked straight out of his office.

In the end, after busying for 2 hours, by the time Wu came back to the office, he found out Shuo was still in his office. Not only he stayed in his office the whole time, he actually fell asleep on the sofa.

Wu cursed inside: You're really treating here as your home!

However, that's just how he thinks, Wu was still quite kind, he was afraid that Shuo might catch a cold so he covered his body with his clothes. Then he went back to his desk and continue his work, there was a lot of documents to process so he didn't really bother Shuo after that.

In the end, Wu has been doing work for another hour, Shuo was still sound asleep.

Wu glanced over at him, then he realized Shuo was really sleeping, not that he wanted to provoke him or anything. Just now Wu was moving the ashtray, shaking the table, he didn't even budge a single bit.

Wu scorned: I'm considered heartless, but you're worse than me!

He walked towards the sofa, wanting to wake him up, he raised his hand but it suspended in the air. He looked rather ordinary when he's awake, but he's actually quite decent when he's asleep, his eyelashes were like curtains for his eyes, they were dense and dark.

Forget it, I'll let you wake up on your own.

Wu was just about to stand up and walk away when Shuo suddenly grabbed onto his arm.

He turned his head and saw Shuo smiling at him, he has awakened.

Even after he witnessed Chi having a secret date with him by the pond, Wu couldn't really hate him right now. He naturally placed the wrong on Chi, giving his opponent respect and benevolence.

Shuo took the clothes covering his body and took a look, 'Yours?'

Wu nodded.

Shuo simply commented, 'I can tell Chi bought this, his taste hasn't changed over the years, he always prefer shirts with muted accents, he has this on almost all his items of clothing.'

'Where's the accent?' Wu asked.

Shuo pointed to Wu.

'You can't tell when it's so obvious?'

No matter how obvious it is it's nothing to Wu because the accent colours are green and yellow, Wu can never differentiate between the two.   

He didn't want others to know that he's colour blind, Wu changed the topic.

'Didn't you say you would leave after finishing the tea?'

Shuo replied, 'Yeah, but I haven't finished it.'

Wu turned around and looked at the teacup, there really is still a layer of tea in the cup, he has seen all types of people but this is an eye-opener to Wu, no wonder he has kept in all the jealousy for 7 years.

Wu snickered, 'You're funny.'

Shuo smiled as well, 'You're naive.'

'Not as naive as you,' Wu caressed Shuo's head, 'You have lowered my self-esteem when I saw your sleeping face.'

'I'll cut the bullshit with you then,' Shuo confessed, 'Guo has been chasing after me for the past 2 days, I really can't stand his harassment anymore so I seek shelter from you.'

Once he mentioned Guo, Wu's expression became more serious, because of Guo and Shuai's relationship, even if Wu doesn't care for himself, he needs to worry about his worrisome teacher!

'Why is he after you?' Wu asked.

Shuo replied, 'It's all because of that old matter.'

Even though his heart is telling him not to, Wu's tone was like a reporter trying to dig up information.

'So do you like Guo?'

Shuo was quiet for a while then answered, 'What is like? What is love?'

Wu shook his head, 'I'm not as clever as you, I can't come to a conclusion of that.'

After 7 years, Shuo really did come up a conclusion for the questions.

'Liking someone converts something illogical into something logical; loving someone converts something logical to something illogical.'

'It's too deep,' Wu lit a cigarette, 'Explain it to me.'

Shuo explained, 'This is kind of a no-brainer, liking someone means you can tolerate anything the person does, every single thing that's bad about him is good to you, whatever brainless shit that he does you would think that it makes all the sense. But love is the exact opposite, it's just full of meaningless fights and argues, every single move that you make will have a chance of starting a war. In short, like, is when someone is willing to be calm for you; love, is when someone feels uneasy for you.'

Wu understood it, he was trying to hint to Wu that Chi's feelings to him are merely on the level of fondness, not love.

But he continued acting dumb, he then clapped for Shuo.

'As expected from a Casanova! You make love into logic!'

'I can't help it, someone forced me to the edge, even the dullest brain has to turn fast now, you have a long way to go cutie...' Shuo tapped on Wu's head, 'It's not good to always be pampered.'

'You think too highly of me,' Wu pouted, 'He hasn't bothered me for 2 days.'

'Just because you slept over at Guo's?' Shuo asked.

Wu nodded.

Shuo smiled, 'I don't expect you to haunt his mind for 7 years, 7 days is the limit.'

Wu continued with his act, 'Please don't, how can I take it? It might be easy for him but not for me. Aside from the feelings, this man has good skills in bed! How can I set this precious aside and do it myself?'

Shuo snickered, 'You need to thank me for this; if it wasn't for these 7 years of training, he wouldn't even have the balls to do it! Back then when I was with him, 9 out of 10 times I would shit blood after that.'

Wu chuckled, 'He used to be this dumb?'

'Haha...the more you don't know,' Shuo continued, 'Do you know? Not only he's dumb, but he's also really talkative as well, he always nag on me, he's naggier than my mom. Plus, he holds grudges well, he would always pick a fight with me for the smallest matter, there isn't a second that we're not arguing, once we even involved knives and shit.'

He unbuttoned his blouse as he was speaking, pointing on the three scars on his chest.

'These were all his doings back then, just because I had a small talk with another guy.'

The impact when Wu saw these scars is comparable to the time when he saw the scars on the guy's butt back then.

But his reaction was much calmer than before, looking all sympathetically at Shuo.

'You've been through a lot during the 3 years.'

Shuo then added, 'This is the reason why after I did that and went crazy after it, if it were you would you stay here? But now I think about it, I feel kinda sorry for the people who suffered after me. Actually his preference wasn't this peculiar before, he got hooked up on those ever since that thing. Oh, yeah, he hasn't tortured you before right?'

'You think too much,' Wu said, 'He isn't that demanding for me.'

'That's good,' Shuo smiled, 'I thought he requested such things to you before.'

After they were chatting, Lin knocked and informed that Wu has a guest downstairs.

When Wu stepped out of the room, he took a deep breathe, he finally feel much better now.

In the end, when he reached the lobby, there isn't anyone there.

'Didn't you just say someone is looking for me?' he asked Lin, 'Where's him?'

Lin was puzzled, 'It was Mr. Li from Xun Da Tech, he was just sitting there. Did he go out? I'll take a look outside.'

'No need, I'll search for him myself.'

Wu wanted to take a breather as well, it felt too stuffy in there.

In the end, after walking around the block, he didn't see Mr. Li, but he spotted a statue-like man leaning by his car, his expression was as cold as before.

'Hey!' Wu greeted Lian, 'My idol.'

Lian peered over at him, didn't respond.

When Wu walked towards him, he saw there's a lollipop on his ear, a man who looks like a killer actually has a lollipop on his ear, is that a new kind of weapon?

Wu hesitated, he really wanted it because he was feeling bitter inside, he needs the nourish from the sweet.

I'll ask? He might not give.

What should I do? Thief!

So, when Lian turned around, Wu reached his hand out.

A problem arose, he couldn't reach the height.

Then, Wu was sneaking behind Lian.

Suddenly, Lian abruptly turned back around.

Wu jumped up right at that moment, he was shocked and he was losing balance, his hands started grabbing randomly and he caught onto one of Lian's arms...

In the end, he actually hung on him, his feet were hovering above ground.

Plus, Lian's arm which is under such force didn't even bend a single bit, it was still straight. Under Wu's surprised gaze, his arm slowly raised higher, furthering the distance of Wu's feet from the ground.

Fuck me, he's too strong!

Wu also slowly feels like the thing he's hanging on isn't an arm but a monkey bar.

Then, he also realised, the lollipop was just right in front of him, he can reach it.

By the time Lian put Wu down to the ground, the lollipop was already in Wu's mouth.

'Thanks,' Wu smilingly said to Lian.

Lian has no expression as always, he just stared at Wu as he eats the lollipop.

Suddenly, Shuo walked towards the car with a gloomy face, he went straight into the car and slammed the door shut.

'You brother has went into the car, you should go,' Wu said to his idol.

Lian finally spoke, but it's still that same sentence.

'Why are you called Wu Suo Wei?'

Wu bulged his eyes, 'Hey, why are you like this? Didn't I tell you last time?'

Lian didn't say anything much, he strode back to the car, opened the door and went in.

'This man...'

Wu furiously chewed on the lollipop into shatters.
