Counter Attack Chapter 146

After Wu's arrival, Guo has felt as if he was being abandoned, it's most obvious when it's sleeping time. When Guo was living here, Shuai never let him enter the bedroom, but now Wu is here, they just shared the same bed.

This isn't all, Wu even told Guo this, 'We don't need you here today, you can go!'

If it wasn't for the change of appearance in Shuai, Guo really considered in tying Wu up and sell him to a brothel.

It's been so long since they both shared the same bed, Wu and Shuai couldn't even sleep.

'Do you think he left?' Wu asked.

Shuai simply replied, 'Who are you talking about?'

Wu looked at the ceiling and said, 'Guo!'

'How am I supposed to know?'

Even so, Shuai knew very well, Guo must be still outside. Shuai is a light sleeper, any small movements or sounds can wake him up, right outside the clinic is the road, there are countless of cars passing by every night, so Shuai rarely ever sleep in the clinic.

He has been waking up in the middle of the night these few days, he can only go back to sleep if he hears the light snoring and the friction against the sofa outside, so Shuai was really sensitive to this sound.

Wu then recalled the scene this morning, he turned around and hugged Shuai, his dark eyes stared at Shuai.

'Shuai, I may need to break the bad news to you.'

Shuai could kind of sense something.

After being recognised by Shuai's silence, Wu then continued on.

'Your ex-boyfriend, he might...be tortured to death by Chi.'

Shuai's body froze, his shocked gaze stared back at Wu.

'By Chi?'

Wu wanted to say something but he was hesitating.

'Why it's Chi?' Shuai doesn't understand.

Wu only then tell everything that happened today to Shuai, then he also didn't forget to ask.

'Shuai, if Chi accidentally overdid it, if something really happened to him, you won't blame on Chi right?'

Shuai peered over to Wu, 'After saying so much you're just worried that I'll revenge on him?'

'No, no...' Wu quickly explained, 'I was just afraid that it will leave a scar in you, then we might not be able to continue being friends.

Shuai was rather optimistic than him.

'Don't worry, Chi and Guo are hard to defeat, they both have their skills to torture people, and are extremely good at controlling their strengths. Even if Chi and Guo tortured them to their brink of death, they will hold back at their last breath, they're not stupid enough to inflict a homicide case.'

Wu totally agrees to this point.

Wu heard it from Gang sometime ago, that rich guy who humiliated Wu in public, Yue Yue's ex-boyfriend Long. He just scolded Chi once, then he got caught in a car accident, his breathing has stopped by the time he reached the hospital, he was then being saved after CPR. Now, he suffers from severe paralysation, he can only live the rest of his life on a wheelchair.

The two kept quiet for a while, then Wu spoke once again.

'Shuai, why is Tao confident that you won't be able to forget about him?'

'Of course, I can't forget about him,' Shuai said, 'I'll be disgusted by him for the rest of my life.'

'Why?'

At this point of time, there's no point for Shuai to conceal the truth any further, Tao has already found him, it will just be the matter of time when the truth was revealed. Why let someone else speak utter bullshit when you can confess the truth yourself.

'You really want to know?' Shuai made sure before he talks.

Wu nodded, 'I've been waiting for a long time now.'

Shuai took a deep breath, then he poured out every detail that happened a few years back.

During this confessing session, it brought an unimaginable shock to Wu, as compared to Chi's last time, this was far more groundbreaking. Wu even cried last time with Chi, but now he was feeling absolutely shit, but no tears were left to cry. (see what I did there?)

It was beyond imagination to think how Shuai survived these two years.

'Shuai, it was really painful that time right?' Wu asked blankly.

Shuai answered honestly, 'Nothing much, yeah, I've lost conscious.

'When you woke up? It must be so painful?'

Shuai shook his head, 'It was already 3 days later when I woke up, there's no sensation anymore.'

Wu was shaken to the core, he sat up and straightened his back, his huge eyes stared into Shuai's.

'Will he be lying to you? Was he just trying to find some reason to dump you?'

'Can he fabricate photos?'

Wu clenched his jaws and fists, 'If I knew he was this type of person, I would've joined Chi that time, hanging weights on him is mercy for him! He should hang him with his head down, let all of his weight hang on his balls!'

Shuai laughed, 'Fine, whatever you say.'

Wu's anger still persist, 'Even after he treated you like that, you still remember about him?'

'Because I feel indignant, so I didn't give up,' Wu could slowly understand now, he would keep hitting bricks to his head, it's because he still has that little hope. When that hope disappears, he realized that love can't be forced, every indignity that he felt has disintegrated into nothing, then he could break up with her.

But to Shuai, he can't even have a say in a lot of things.

'I really want to find some guys and fuck that bastard good!'

Wu also sensed Shuai's uneasiness, he wrapped his warm legs around Shuai's cold ones, then he placed Shuai's hands into his shirt and on his back.

'Don't worry, there's me.'

Shuai's mind slowly calmed down.

Actually, Guo didn't hear anything, he knew they both were having secret talks inside, he can't also somehow guess the content of the talk. He really couldn't sleep, so he went out to the grass patch outside the clinic and have a cigarette.

One followed by another, he has smoked half of the box away, the one inside has also smoothened out his breathing.

Then, he tapped on the window.

 In the end, the one inside flipped.

Wu has fallen asleep, after hearing that noise, he was awakened by fear. He can't help it, Chi has climbed through that window before, he still has that fear in his mind.

'Shit, did Chi come here?'

Just now he was still saying 'don't worry, there's me', now he's transformed into a scaredy cat, he quickly rolled out of the bed and paced around the room, then finally hid under the bed.

'Please don't tell him I'm here!' Then he placed three shoe boxes in front of him as a cover.

Shuai was also feeling terrified, but he has another person in his mind, but he clearly understands that Tao has just been tortured, he wouldn't have the energy to come here. Even so, Shuai still wanted to check on that.

A car stopped in front of the clinic, a familiar figure walked down of the car.

Guo stared at Chi coldly, he placed his powerful hand on Chi's hand, stopping him from proceeding.

Chi looked at Guo blankly, Guo can see blood and death in Chi's eyes.

'You dare to stop me?'

Guo simply replied, 'I'll stop anyone who comes.'

Chi reached out to the hand resting on his chest and twisted Guo's wrist without a change in expression. Guo doesn't budge, he let Chi does anything he wants to him, his fingers are popping out of their sockets, but his hand was still bolted down on Chi's chest.

He doesn't fight back or make a single noise, he was afraid that he would scare Shuai with the slightest sound.

Chi could tell, Guo would rather die to protect the one inside.

'As expected from the Casanova, you're really good at playing people's heart, anyone could open up their hearts to you.'

'It's nothing,' Guo grabbed Chi's shoulder smilingly, 'I can't compete with you, I keep people who have been exploited and cheated on, you keep people who exploit and cheat other people, your standards are higher than mine.'

Chi took out two sticks of cigarette and handed one of them to Guo, the other he just stuck it in his mouth.

'I'm not here to find anyone, I'm here to deliver someone.'

Guo peered over to the car, then he understands what Chi meant.

'Let me warn you,' Chi spoke again, 'This man, you can do whatever you want to him, how bad or sadistic you want, but remember to keep him breathing, if he were to die, the next is you.'

Chi was totally giving him a kind reminder, if Guo was to kill Tao, it will just add up to another scar in Shuai's heart.

Guo scoffed, 'If I didn't?'

'I don't care what you do,' then Chi threw away the cigarette and walked towards the door.

Guo walked behind him slowly, scorned in his head, 'When did you not care?'

Chi quietly pushed the bedroom door open, Shuai twitched slightly, Wu was sleeping like a dead pig, one of his legs are even on the ground.

Chi initially wanted to grab him by the collar and pull him out, but then he decided to restore some humanity in him, he just carried this pig up and sent him straight to the butchers.

Guo sneaked into the bedroom, he filled the space that Wu left behind.

Shuai first felt the emptiness beside him, then he moved his hand around and felt someone. He stuck his leg in between Guo's legs, his hands continued to place on his back, it's warm, so he continued sleeping.
