Counter Attack Chapter 143

Just as he rejected Wu, Guo immediately called Wang to fly him over to Shanghai to check on Tao's profile.

'He's a native Shanghainese, he's 31 this year, he married to a woman 12 years older when he was 28, their marriage didn't last past 3 years, he's a marketing manager in an overseas corporate,' Guo mumbled.

'A rich woman!' Wang sighed, 'Just like a leech, leeching off her.'

Guo's gaze is unfathomable, his finger tapped on the desk, then said, 'Shuai wouldn't hate him this much just based on this fact right?'

Wang nodded,' Yeah, the gays have been pressured to get married, there is hardly anyone has the balls to come out.'

Gu expected Wang to continue, but he just ended like that.'

Seeing Wang went to Shanghai to check on the details, he used all o his connections and all the resources he could, he shouldn't only found out such useless pieces of information. Guo then noticed that Wang looked like he was trying to hide something, he knew something isn't good.

'I heard before Tao got married he and Shuai had a heated argument, that's also what caused them to break up and caused Tao to get married in a flash.' Guo looked at Wang, 'Do you know what is that about?'

Wang's expression changed, he then gave in under Guo's burning gaze.

'After they have made it official, Shuai moved to Shanghai to be with Tao, just to be with him for four years, they are really in love. At the eve of Tao's marriage, something happened, and it made Tao gave up on their relationship, dumped him and married his ex-wife.'

'Cut the bullshit!' Guo's tone was harsh, 'I'm fucking asking you what did Shuai do, to let Tao kick him aside!'

Wang's gaze dimmed, then spoke painstakingly.

'He...he has been gang-raped.'

Guo's expression distorted after hearing that, after so many years, besides the day when Guo and Chi's friendship fell apart, this is the only other time when he has seen such change in expression in Guo, the other time he's just had this straight face on.

The air in the room felt like it has been sucked away, it makes people feel suffocated for some reason.

After a long minute of silence, Guo calmly spoke.

 'Who were the ones involved?'

Wang took a deep breath, then drew out a file of documents and laid it in front of Guo.

'They're all here.'

Then, he reached out to the folder and took out a paper envelope, handed out to Guo.

Guo took out the photos in it, all of them consist of Tao and another man, the photos stated that they're from two years ago, that's right after Tao got married, he has gotten together with some other man after breaking up with Shuai.

Wang said, 'That man is Shuai's friend, he was really close to Shuai, but after Shuai broke up with Guo he also broke contact with Shuai. So that's why I feel, that gang rape was planned all along, and Shuai knew about it...'

'So you think, this man planned all of it?' Guo asked.

Wang spoke cautiously, 'For now, I can only think of this man, there's no other suspect I can think of. I think he was already in the way of their relationship before they two broke up, he wanted to totally destroyed their love, then he thought of this plan.'

Guo remained silent.

'You should know, Tao has a severe OCD, imagine what he would feel after seeing such dirty scene...'

Wang couldn't continue further, he has never expected that he would use the word 'dirty' in such scenario. Just like Guo, he also has never thought that such familiar scene would haunt him by just the thought of it.

Wang probed, 'Now we should take Tao back form Wu right?'

Guo has showcased an extreme case of tolerance.

'No.'

'Why are you still keeping him there?' Wang was worried.

Guo said, 'Chi hasn't found out yet.'

It clicked in Wang's head.

Guo then added, 'if he's here, he'll end up dying.'

After starving for 5 days, Tao actually didn't throw away the food that Wu gave him.

Then, Wu was squatting in front of him, looking at him blissfully.

'Hey, can't take it anymore?'

Tao was still putting up a strong front, even if he lost the war between food and hunger, he still has that attitude of his, he just let Wu tease him all he wants, he just doesn't care.

Wu has been tolerating him for 5 days now, his patience is running out as well, but he didn't lash out his anger on Tao, he snatched over the bun in Tao's hand and threw it on the ground, trampling it under his foot until the entire bun was covered by a layer of dust.

Then, he took a random stick and poke it, putting it near Tao's mouth.

'Eat it.'

Tao stared at Wu with that chilly gaze of his, Wu thought that he was hesitating to eat it, so he slowly retracted his arm back. In the end, Tao grabbed onto the stick and removed the bun with absolute embarrassment, then stuffed it into his mouth.

Wu was really bad for smiling at it!

In the end, Tao managed to finish that and he even gave a speech.

'People should adapt to their surroundings, there's no place that we can be clean in, for example, the toilet, no matter how OCD the person is he will still need to go to the toilet, then in front of you a fly might think of itself as a dung beetle, eating is just a fantasy because everything that has been touched by your hands are already classified as nothing more than a shit. Even if you didn't roll that bun on the floor, I would think it's as disgusting as well.'

Wu realized, every time he converses with Tao, he will feel this surge of excitement and passion inside of him.

'So you think of here as a toilet?'

Tao scoffed, 'What else do you think it is?'

Wu nodded, 'Fine! Since you're treating here like your home, I won't be easy on you either. That day when we first met in the toilet, I actually wanted to welcome you with a pee festival, but due to health problems I couldn't, I shall compensate it today.'

Tao's glare was deadly.

Wu was about to pull down his pants when he realised something if I  were to pee right in front of this bastard, isn't this a humiliation to my precious asset? Then he turned around, searched for a plastic bottle and filled it right away.

Then, he turned back around with a devilish smile on his face.

'Here's your treat, sorry if it's too little for you.'

He drenched Tao from head to toe, the fluid just flows right into his collar.

Even though he was being humiliated this way, Tao was still able to speak up for his pride.

'Instead of putting up a strong front here, you should tell Shuai to forget about me, that will be the end for me. But too bad, you didn't have the ability to.'

Chi was out for an inspection with his team leader, not long after he has returned, someone knocked on his office door.

'Come in.'

A woman with a bright smile walked in, she was the mundane looking woman that Wu saw that day when he was here to pick Chi up. That time she was going into a car with another old man, that old man was the head of the finance department, Mr Li. That woman was Mr Li's daughter, Li Zhi Ling.

Ever since he saw Chi that day, she has been using her position to visit the headquarters every now and then.

Every time she will definitely have a few talks with Chi, although she didn't make it clear but everyone could tell, this woman has fallen for Mr Chi. Even though Chi has been quite cold towards her, she still has a positive hope for the progression of their relationship.

'What are you doing?' Ling sat in front of Chi and stared at him.

Chi was flipping through the documents that he had spent the whole night copying, he didn't even lift his eyelids.

Ling propped her cheeks with her arm and scoffed, 'You read? That's unexpected.'

She has spent a few days checking Chi's background, as expected from a woman like her, she has seen a lot of things before, after knowing so much about Chi she still thinks it's something normal. But after visiting for the past few days, she noticed Chi was constantly reading, that rather surprised her.

'Are you turning over a new leaf for me?' Ling asked.

This absurd question made Chi's eyes wide open, he stared at him for half a minute without saying anything, because he has nothing to say.

Ling then asked, 'My dad has invited you over for dinner this weekend, are you coming?'

'We'll see.'

Then he closed his book shut, took his bag and left.

Still, Ling was chasing behind him, followed him into the same elevator. No one has ever dared to follow after Chi so boldly, only her, so she thinks that Chi was into her as well because he didn't chase her away. In her eyes, Chi was the prime example of coolness, he has the deadly glare that expels people who got too close to him.

Actually, even if there's a bunch of girls squeezed into the elevator, Chi still looks at the places where he should.
