Counter Attack Chapter 21

Wu didn't dare to go back to the previous place, he was scared to see Chi again, so he moved to a place further away. He bought a new second-hand tricycle, a stainless steel pot, after being busy for a few days he finally started his business officially.

Wu met an old man selling sugar figures, he was very nice. When there's no one buying porridge, he would look at the old man blowing sugar figures, he wanted to learn this skill too. If his porridge were sold out and it's getting dark, Wu would buy all the leftover sugar figures from him, he was afraid that the old man would fall sick after standing for too long.

One day, a cop fought with the old man. He told the old man to move to another place but he insisted on staying. The cop patted the old man's shoulder, the old man fell onto the ground rolling and crying in pain, 'It's so painful, I'm going to die...'

The cop worried he might get in trouble, he wanted to leave. But the old man was blocking the car's way, hugging the rear and asked for compensation. The bystanders were not sure what's happening, they were scolding the cop. The cop couldn't fight against the crowd so he gave the old man $1000.

After the cop left, the old man stood up perfectly fine, said to Wu boastfully, 'He wants to fight against me? He's too young. Hey young man, did you see? You can learn some from me...'

From that on, Wu didn't buy any more sugar figures from him anymore.

He realized that there are no weaklings in this world. Everyone has their own ways of protecting themselves, there's no need of abandoning your compassion.

A lot of people came out to eat this weekend, Wu even cooked a pot of corn besides porridge.

'Two cobs of corn and one bowl of porridge, please.'

'Be careful. Total is $5.'

Wu received a $10 note, then took out $5. When he opened his mouth and was about to shout, he saw two persons got down a branded car, his words got stuck in his throat.

Yue Yue was wearing designer clothes, holding a designer bag in her hand, she looked extravagant under the sun. A gangster looking guy was beside her, his aura shows that he's rich. Since breaking up with Wu, Yue Yue has changed three different boyfriends. This is the fourth one, he's called Wang Zhen Long.

Wu tore away his gaze, totally ignoring these two materialistic people.

'Eh? Wu?!' Yue Yue shouted.

Even after wearing his cap super low, Yue Yue still managed to recognize him.

'You said you're starting your own business, you're talking about selling porridge and corns?' Yue Yue took a cob of corn, glanced at Wu, 'One cob of corn for 50 cents? You can only earn $50 a day I suppose? Yeah, it's a lot of corn, I'm so proud of you, you're so sensible!'

Wang hugged Yue Yue's waist, whispered into her ears in a low tone, 'Don't be rude.'

He then faced Wu, looked at him with a mocking gaze.

'Let me say, my girlfriend is a bit annoying, please don't mind her. I always feel so sorry for you, you guys were together for seven years, you gave in so much. When she mentioned to break up, you even tried to commit suicide? Hey, now I think of myself as a bastard. I shouldn't have snatched your girlfriend from a poor boy. It must be difficult for you to find a girlfriend, isn't it?'

'Please don't say that.' Wu slowly tidied his collar, smiled at Wang, 'I should feel sorry for you.  You have to buy her so much expensive clothing just to sleep with her for a night, I remember I spent only $15 to get her lose her virginity. You must've spent a bomb!'

Wang's face turned into an awful green.

'Wu, you're shameless!' Yue Yue reached out to give Wu a slap.

Wu caught her hand mid-air, still having that smile on his face.

'Please don't dirty your precious claws.'

Yue Yue felt unreal, this sharp-tongued youth, was the same useless guy that she used to scold back then.

Wang was infuriated, landed a fist on Wu's face, but Wu welcomed it with the steelhead of his. Wang was screaming in pain, then lifted his leg to kick at Wu but Wu dodged it.

Two guys came down from the car, they were Wang's bodyguards.

'Beat him up, destroy his stall!'

No matter how tough Wu's head was, he wasn't a match for two bodyguards. He didn't beg for mercy or resist, he just protected the most important part. His gaze fell on Wang's face, he sculpted his face deeply into his brain.

After it ended, Wang stepped on Wu's neck on one of his foot, said, 'Poor guy, you're destined to live like this, don't even wish about changing your life, go back to your stupid village. Ha Ha Ha...'
