Counter Attack Chapter 185

For three days straight, Shuo did not eat, drink or shower at all.

When Chi returned Jealous to him, Jealous was always by Shuo's side. Now on the third day, even Jealous thinks that Shuo is too dirty, it was laying at the side, ignoring Shuo.

Lian also ignored Shuo for three days.

Shuo was refusing to eat, Lian was eating and drinking all he wants; Shuo was being grounded, Lian was out all day going around town; Shuo didn't wash his face at all, Lian took shower twice a day, always looking good and fresh.

Today, he saw Shuo rolled down onto the floor from the sofa, he didn't even have the energy to climb back up, Lian then finally broke the three days of silence.

'Look at yourself now.'

Shuo replied languidly, 'You're not even the one who got his heart broken, it doesn't even affect you in any way.'

'The possibility of such things happening on me is almost zero,' Lian said.

Shuo snickered, 'You don't even have a relationship, how can you lose it?'

'Because I only choose relationships that have zero chance of breaking.'

'You can find it yourself,' Shuo looked at Lian mockingly, 'I bet you'll end up as single for the rest of your life.'

Lian replied, 'I much rather be single forever than live like you now.'

Shuo gritted his teeth, 'What rights do you have to look down on me?'

'Then what else do you have to make me look up to you?' Lian asked back.

Shuo was pissed, 'Wang Lian let me tell you, don't you get too fucking high of yourself in front of me, what else can you be proud of? Aren't you just a little taller than I am? I tell you, Mom is really sick of you. If it wasn't for me, I was the one who talks good things about you every time, if not you would've been kicked out of the house already.'

Lian walked towards him and squatted down in front of Shuo, looking at him with an unaltering gaze.

'If you continue being so childish, you're just proving Chi's choice is correct.'

Shuo's expression soured, he flung his palm across Lian's face.

Lian caught his hand and said coldly, 'Don't touch everywhere with your dirty claws.'

After saying that, he grabbed Shuo to the bathroom, he filled the bathtub with water and threw Shuo into it, then scrubbed him like how he washes vegetables, showing not a single bit of sympathy.

When they were younger, Shuo absolutely detested when Lian showered him, Lian's hands were all filled with calluses and scars from the martial arts he has been doing, his hands rubbing on him were like scrubbing against a brick wall, Shuo's body would be red after each time.

But their mother loved to call Lian to shower Shuo, because Shuo was constantly dirty and had a layer of mud all over him, only Lian's hands could scrub it clean.

So throughout the years, no matter if they were in their adolescence stage, teens or adulthood, the two brothers have always been bare in front of each other, without holding any secrets back. And when Lian is bathing Shuo, just like when they were young, his private part and butt will receive similar treatment as well.

Every time when Lian reaches that part, Shuo would always complain.

'Can you be a little gentler? Are you trying to rub my dick off?'

This time as well.

But what's different from the past silence, this time Lian actually replied him.

'It's only that long, it doesn't matter if I rubbed it off or not.'

Shuo was indignant, 'Now that it's doing nothing, if it was to do its job it's not small at all.'

'You think I'm a woman? Think that I'm dumb?' Lian grabbed the shampoo bottle.

Shuo didn't give up, 'Mine is still longer than some people out there.'

'Even Wu's is longer than yours.'

'What did you say?' Shuo's eyes were burning in rage, 'Have you measured it before?'

'No need to measure, I can tell.'

Shuo's face went a few shades darker, 'You even fucking stare at his crotch?'

'I've stared at every place,' Lian said, 'Every spot of his is better than yours, if it's me I would choose him as well.'

Not sure if its because he was too hungry, or he was being agitated by Lian, Shuo almost fainted in the bathtub. Now to a loser like him, the most devastating thing to say to him is that you're better than him.

'You should go ahead and woo him, compete with Chi.'

Shuo has no emotions whatsoever in his comment, you could tell that he's jealous.

Lian didn't say anything, he flipped Lian around and Shuo was lying on his stomach against the side of the tub.

Shuo's expression was so gloomy, there are no signs of life.

After a while, he didn't hear a response from Lian, Shuo added, 'I've already given up.'

Lian said, 'You're the only one who takes the relationship so seriously, I don't even feel the need to counsel you.'

'Who cares about your counselling?' Shuo gave Lian a side-eye.

Lian then continued, 'Do you still remember when we were young we fought over a popsicle?'

'What do you mean?' Shuo doesn't get where he was going.

Lian didn't say anything, he just wrapped a towel around Shuo and walked out himself.

It was 1 in the morning, the night owl finally was on the move, after starving for three days and not knowing what hunger is, suddenly he couldn't take it anymore tonight. He went to the kitchen and cracked open a random container, he was filled with joy, there were a few dumplings left and they were still warm.

The smell was wafting into Lian's bedroom.

He hasn't slept yet, because he wanted to see how depressed Shuo really is. Looking at things now, it seems like he was just putting up a front for him.

Just like how he mentioned about them fighting over a popsicle, they used to share a popsicle but when they split it in half they realized that the two pieces were uneven,  both of them wanted the longer one. Then, they broke the longer one but they didn't know how to adjust the length so the shorter one became the longer one, then they did the same thing again...

After breaking and splitting, neither of them got to eat the popsicle.

Lian wasn't happy about it, but Shuo was clapping in joy.

Because in Lian's heart, owning something is better than enjoying it. Albeit both of them got to eat the popsicle, but it's a huge loss for Shuo who got one less mouthful of the ice; but if neither of them gets to eat it, he feels much balanced inside.

Two weeks have passed, Wu was just travelling from one place to another, from work to home.

Under Casbin's treatment plan, Wu's mother has become more energetic, even though the disease is getting worse, but as compared to those terminally ill patients in the hospital living lives worse than hell, she was considered rather blissful.

Wu has been keeping her company, his life was much quieter but at ease.

These few days, Wu has realized that his mother's memory is getting worse.

In the past she always used to clean and tidy up the house neatly, she could remember where she placed everything. But now she couldn't remember any of it, she placed the item down and she would forget where she placed it the next second.

Just take yesterday as an example, Wu's mother took her own pants and ran along the streets, she insisted that the pants were someone else's, she must return it back to the owner. The neighbours didn't know what to say, in the end, she got back home after Wu talked her into it.

In the middle of the night, Wu's mother woke up and grabbed on Wu's hand nervously, 'Dear, can you check on our son to see if he's crying?'

Wu switched on the lights and looked at his mother.

'Mom, did you have a nightmare?'

Wu's mother was still tugging on Wu's hand, 'Dear, let's buy a new crib for our son, let him sleep with us.'

Wu wanted to laugh and cry at the same time.

The next morning, Lian went to Wu's office, they went out for lunch together.

'How's your mom's condition?'

Wu said, 'She would call me as her husband,' then he couldn't stop smiling.

Lian didn't say anything.

After a while, Wu sighed and asked Lian, 'You say what else should I give my mother now? She doesn't lack any clothes or food, I just want her to be happy for the rest of her life, help me think of some ideas.'

'Why are you letting me think for you?' Lian asked.

Wu replied, 'Because in my heart you're like a magician, there's nothing you can't do. You could always surprise me, I believe you could do the same to my mother as well.'

Lian gave it a thought, 'Since your mom calls you her husband now, this means she misses your dad now, if you were to act as your father I think she would be very happy.'

Wu's eyes bulged in disbelief, 'Can this work?'

This to Lian was a piece of cake, he has taken some assassination missions before, CGI makeup is one of the basic skills to have.

After an hour, Lian showed Wu's face in front of a mirror.

Wu was so shocked that his jaw almost dropped onto the ground, this...isn't this too good? He almost cried in front of the mirror, my father! How do you look so real!

In the evening, Wu really went back home looking like that, Wu's mother really bought that trick, she was so happy she even ate another bowl of rice.

But Wu didn't eat anything at all.

The next day, he went to look for Lian again, but he brought Shuai along this time.

'Can you make him my girlfriend?'

Shuai was astonished, 'Say what?'

He stood up and about to leave, but he was dragged back by Wu.

'Help me, help me out, let me repay my mother at least!'

Shuai couldn't fight against Wu, in the end, he agreed to it.

When they went back, Wu's mother didn't find anything amiss as well, she even told Shuai, 'You're such a lovely girl, you're much better than Yue Yue. My husband has gone up there, if he were to come back to see you he would be much happier than me.'

Wu's mother has forgotten everyone else but Yue Yue.

Everyone that has hurt his son before, she has never forgotten them.

After leaving the house, Wu was patting on Shuai's shoulders while laughing hysterically.

'You're really good at acting.'

After taking another look at Shuai, he continued laughing.

Shuai was wearing women's wear from head to toe, he pointed at Wu's nose and said, 'Just laugh all you want, you fucking bastard.'

'Haha...' Wu gave Shuai a pat on his shoulders, 'Lian is really a genius, he can do anything, look at you, you look exactly like a girl.'

'Fuck off!'

Although Shuai was scolding him, he also couldn't help but agree, 'Lian is really a perfect god.'

Wu nodded in agreement, 'If you were to be with someone like him, how fun would your days be?'

'You and Chi really ended?' Shuai asked.

Wu acted as if he didn't care at all, 'He didn't want me anymore, what can I do?'

'You're trying to get someone else?' Shuai fluttered his eyelashes.

Wu lifted the edges of his lips, 'I really do plan to do so.'

So, I have a week off this week so I'll try to update often, probably everyday if i can. I'm feeling so inspired and I keep having new ideas popping up in my mind. i guess it's a good thing? but omg I have no mood to study AT ALL but I'm glad I had my exams before this break. 

btw I laughed so much looking at every comment from last chapter, you guys are so cute omg. don't worry too much, we still have a long way to go ;)
