Chapter 88        Rescue

7th of August, in the a.m.

Through learning and getting taught throughout the night, and much exploration, Zhou Qingfeng could confirm that Eastern and Western women were very different. Their thoughts and bodies, and their ideas and actions were completely different.

After three hours of step-by-step loving, Zhou Qingfeng finally experienced what people called real initiative, enthusiasm, and exhaustion. If it was not for how tough Zhou Qingfeng was, he would not be able to deal with this blonde and busty woman!

Zhou Qingfeng woke up as soon the sun rose. He found an empty house near Downtown Manhattan and he had kept his command mobile vehicle there. The house was pretty comfortable and had daily necessities.

Previously, there were gunfights everywhere in Manhattan. More and more illegal immigrants rushed in like a wave from Brooklyn to Manhattan. Most of them probably grouped up to form a gang and started to rob the buildings in Manhattan.

However, the area around the New York police headquarters was still restricted. The buildings there were already occupied by some powerful gangs. Anyone who got close was killed.

Zhou Qingfeng was sitting on his bed. He turned his head and looked out the window. It was obvious that the few blocks around had been robbed. There were even bullet holes in the building that they were in. The corpses outside the house were the people he had killed as he was trying to break in.

A few pastors from churches holding white flags passed by the house. They were cleaning the corpses along the street and taking care of the homeless. At the same time, they were trying to stop any violence and rebuilding law and order in society.

The United States was a country where religion was important and Christianity was their main religion. There has not been a case of attacking church leaders at the moment. However, the hard work that they put in could only slow down the rate of deaths in the city. The city could no longer feed a large number of people.

The issue of survival could not be solved by just kindness and responsibility. After a period of time, the entire New York city would turn into hell!

As Zhou Qingfeng got out of bed, Jenny Braun woke up too. She used the thin blanket to cover herself and tidied her hair to hide the wound from the gunshot earlier. She spoke very softly, “Hi.” It felt a little awkward between both of them.

Zhou Qingfeng was indeed a little too young for Jenny Braun. Even though he was already an adult, he was only eighteen. If this happened before the cataclysm, the pairing of a thirty-year-old lady and an eighteen-year-old boy would be a scandal in the upper-class.

Zhou Qingfeng thought that if they were going to have sex, he would make her fall completely in love with him. It was his national mission. However, he was the ‘student’ in bed, instead. The mature and generous Jenny Braun could have totally been his teacher.

It was an indescribable feeling!

“I think we…..” Jenny’s face was red because Zhou Qingfeng kept staring at her. As a journalist, she was actually very open-minded but, at that moment, she was shy. “I think I should make some breakfast.”

Jenny got out bed, naked; she grabbed her clothes which were at the side of the bed and went to the washroom. Zhou Qingfeng was sitting on the bed. He felt his blood boil when he saw Jenny running and her attractive hips bouncing. He followed her to the washroom. The blonde woman was surprised and screamed. After that, they continued their morning making love.

It was only ten minutes when the soldier radio started to buzz. Jenny, who was leaning against the wall, turned around and begged Zhou Qingfeng, “Victor, someone’s calling. Let’s continue this tonight, shall we?”

Zhou Qingfeng was going to carry Jenny while he answered the call, but she had escaped. She put on her clothes and went to the kitchen. In the radio, Butcher yelled in his rough voice, “Hey, Victor Hugo! Victor Hugo! Are you still alive?”

“I won’t die even if you’re dead,” Zhou Qingfeng grabbed the radio and said. He had a lot of resources at the moment. He washed, changed, and was removing the old skin from his wounds. At the same time, he looked at Jenny Braun working in the kitchen in an apron. A while later, toasted bread and sausage rolls were ready on the table.

“Hahaha… I saw the immigration building on fire the other day. I was worried that you were burnt and became roasted pork.”

Butcher asked, “How was it? Did you get the guys in the building?”

“It was a piece of cake! I’ve returned to my command vehicle. We’ve got plenty of resources and we’re eating breakfast now,” Zhou Qingfeng went closer to Jenny and kissed her on the cheek. He grabbed a piece of bread and put it into his mouth.

The call from Butcher reminded Zhou Qingfeng of something. The Portaschi brothers he killed the other night were actually very unlucky and Zhou Qingfeng felt that it was weird.

According to the original plot, the Portaschi brothers were supposed to be killed by David Lawrence after six months. David Lawrence would have been God-like by then and he would have killed them easily like they were just toys.

However, it was only the second day of cataclysm and he had already killed these two villains. Zhou Qingfeng struggled a lot during the process and he was severely injured. If it was not for his abnormal speed of recovery, he would be lying somewhere else.

As Zhou Qingfeng thought about it, he felt sad and thought that it was unfair. At this point in time, he did not have the strength or power of the main character, but he did his job for him. It was unfair!

Things were even worse for Butcher. As he heard Zhou Qingfeng eat, he yelled from the other side of radio, “I thought that you were dead or stuck somewhere. But, since you’re eating breakfast, come quickly to help us!”

Zhou Qingfeng tried to contact Butcher yesterday but he could not reach him. He had put his bets on that big Russian guy getting into trouble. Indeed, he was right.

“If even you can’t deal with the matter at hand, what can I do?” Zhou Qingfeng was blessed compared to Butcher. He drank a cup of hot milk and felt extremely happy. It was not easy obtaining hot food in the last phase.

Jenny, who took the milk to him, spoke gently, “That’s all we have in the cabinet; there’s no more fresh food. Otherwise, I could have made it better.”

“You even have a woman making you breakfast?” Butcher got even angrier once he heard Jenny’s voice. “Damn it, I shouldn’t have left you alone. It’s terrible here! Corpse, corpse, corpse. There are corpses everywhere!”

“How bad is it?” Zhou Qingfeng thought Butcher was joking as he spoke very energetically.

However, the voice on the radio changed. The fierce voice of a woman cut in and it said, “Victor Hugo, where are you now? We really need your help now.”

“Katrina?” Zhou Qingfeng was shocked and he stopped smiling. The tough lady has always been very proud. Things must be serious if even she asked for help.

Katrina said, “That’s right, it’s me. We are stuck in the train station near Town Hall. There are thousands of people with us. It’s terrible here. You need to think of a way to save us, otherwise, everyone here will die.”
