Chapter 70        Fistfight

Zhou Qingfeng’s combat boots stepped on the stained glass fragments and emitted a rustling noise. The normally luxurious Tiffany and Co. jewelry shop had now became a bloody venue. A few surviving ingrates were cautiously leaning against the wall. They glanced at the two killing machines with their dull eyes.

There were fourteen scoundrels that entered the jewelry shop. One’s throat was cut by Zhou Qingfeng while four were wounded by him. Another four were strangled to death by Butcher. The remaining five were standing quietly against the wall.

There were two male workers and six female workers who lived through the tragedy. Nancy Stephanie, who was soaked in scattered brain tissue, was the ninth person in the shop. Zhou Qingfeng broke into the shop when she was almost killed. She was saved in the nick of time.

The female workers were all raped and their bodies were not covered. After being given a new opportunity at life, they put on their shirts and started to cry. For the people who had worked and lived in the metropolis of New York their entire lives, things had gone way beyond limits.

Massacre, death, violence, and rape. The current state of the United States did not feel like a democratic country. Instead, it was like Somalia, a country falling behind and full of barbarism.

A woman was having a mental breakdown. She scolded Zhou Qingfeng after she watched him come in with a gun, “Why didn’t you rescue us earlier? Why do we have to suffer this kind of pain? Why would such a thing happen to us?”

She even jumped out and pointed at Zhou Qingfeng's nose. She scolded him as if he was truly a cop in order to give vent to the pain in her heart, "Get out, get out, get out!"

“Move back,” Zhou Qingfeng pushed the lady away with his muzzle. “I’m not a cop.”

“But, she did treat you like one,” Butcher, who stood behind Zhou Qingfeng, reloaded his gun. He walked into the shop with a smile but mocked soon after, “I’ve told you. Some people just aren’t worthy of your help. Impulse only leads to trouble.”

“Shut up!” Zhou Qingfeng stared at him. At that moment, he was annoyed by Butcher’s teaching.

The lady who got pushed off continued to curse as Zhou Qingfeng gradually straightened his face. After realizing the seriousness of the situation, Nancy Stephanie tried to appease the situation, “Mr. Hugo, there are already many people dying. I beg you to stop killing. She’s just having a mental breakdown. She really didn’t mean to offend you.”

“A madman has no value,” Butcher expressed his opinion.

A person of color with scars suddenly came out from among the five young men. He was fawning adoration, bending over, and scraping at the ground, “Gentlemen, I believe that I have value. I’m clever, smart, and moreover, I’m familiar with New York. I know where’s the best shop nearby.”

Nancy could not stand the fact that he was showing off. She yelled angrily, “He’s a bastard.”

“But, I don’t think he’s that bad,” Butcher seemed to be extremely satisfied with that person. “It just so happens that we needed a lackey. Just bring him with us.”

“It seems that you like making decisions for me!” Zhou Qingfeng finally snapped angrily. He turned his head around to stare at Butcher, “Lena offered you shelter because she thinks that you’re a good fighter. But, that doesn’t mean that you can express your opinion however you want to.”

“I don’t like you. I’ve disliked you since the day you mounted a sneak attack on me. I don’t like how you think that you’re special. Now, shut up, or I’ll shut you up myself!”

Butcher was not very happy, too, “Rookie, are you threatening me?”

Bang…

A heavy punch landed on Butcher’s chin. Zhou Qingfeng turned his whole body around as he shouted at Butcher, “Listen up, I can accept your terrible attitude if you taught me some combat skills. However, I don’t need you teaching me how to become a man! I’ll be the one who decides who lives and who dies. It’s not you, psychopath!”

Zhou Qingfeng had quite a scrawny figure. He looked much weaker than Butcher, but, his explosiveness should not be ignored. Even the corner of Butcher’s mouth bled from his punch. The bear-like man wiped off his blood. He then growled and dashed towards Zhou Qingfeng.

A heavy punch landed on Zhou Qingfeng as well. Butcher’s punch seemed extremely powerful. Zhou Qingfeng’s head slanted and the punch went past his chin. It felt as if a shaver had cut off his meat even though he got hit only slightly in his face.

“Kid, do you know what the consequences are for a rookie who doesn’t follow orders in the military?!” Butcher cursed in anger. His attack was fierce and direct. He preferred fighting skills which were highly efficient at killing within a short period of time.

Butcher used his fist, elbow, and knee - the three most solid bones of the human body - to launch his attack. His movements were extremely fast and they were very explosive too. “You should be honored to receive my training. How dare a rookie like you be unsatisfied with me? It’s simply unforgivable!”

Zhou Qingfeng had never received any training in fistfight. His only advantage was his speed as he did, indeed, possess extreme speed. In every martial art of the world, there was no impregnable defence; only swiftness was invincible.

Zhou Qingfeng was hardly able to dodge Butcher’s punch. Everyone felt that he was no match for Butcher. However, everyone was astonished at what Zhou Qingfeng did next. He had no advantages in terms of height and weight, but, he directly lifted Butcher by his collar. Zhou Qingfeng then threw him onto the floor, hard.

His movements were extremely fast. He threw the bear-like man of one point nine meters in height and over a hundred and twenty kilograms in weight onto the floor as if he was throwing a sandbag. The impact on the floor was extremely powerful. The glass fragments on the floor bounced all over the place and the marble tiles cracked.

The whole process happened within one second. It was indeed fast and clean! Everyone was terrified when they saw such a scene.

Nancy and the others were shocked. None of them would have expected that the terrorists who had the situation under control would fight each other. They saw the smashed objects fly all across the place once more. The decorations were falling apart too. The whole shop was in chaos, and all they could do was to hide from it.

Zhou Qingfeng’s heavy punch had achieved an excellent result. However, the beast in Butcher was awakened. He cursed as he punched Zhou Qingfeng back. The punch landed on the corner of Zhou Qingfeng’s eye. Blood dripped all over the place.

Zhou Qingfeng saw stars after getting hit and he could hear his brain buzz. He immediately took a few steps backwards in the effort of dodging Butcher’s follow-up attack. But, he heard Butcher growl and saw him jump off the ground. Butcher dashed towards him with a dagger in his hand. He cursed, “Kid, it’s time for you to bleed.”

Butcher dashed forwards quickly, but Zhou Qingfeng retreated even quicker. Zhou Qingfeng appeared and disappeared unpredictably and he then released a kick. His kick did not seem to linger, but, its power and speed was just like that of a shadow’s.

Butcher weighed one hundred and twenty kilograms. He might even weigh over a hundred and fifty to a hundred and sixty kilograms after donning on all his equipment. However, even with such weight, he got kicked away. After releasing the kick, Zhou Qingfeng followed through. He landed a kick on Butcher’s face after he first landed one on his chest.

A click could be heard from Butcher’s brain when he got kicked. The others wondered if his neck was snapped. However, they were astonished as the two powerful kicks were not enough to bring Butcher down.

The bear-like man was extremely fierce and tough. He stared at Zhou Qingfeng and twisted his neck. He then threw his dagger at Zhou Qingfeng. It was actually his ultimate move - he has never missed within three to five meters. The move always worked in close quarter combat as he often threw it at his opponent in the most unexpected situation.

The dagger continued gliding through the air until it reached Zhou Qingfeng’s face in the blink of an eye. They were just less than three meters away from each other now. There was no way anyone could dodge the flying dagger. However, it was a different case for Zhou Qingfeng. He tilted his hand once again and was able to dodge the flying dagger just in time. The sharp dagger left a scar on his face.

Zhou Qingfeng was enraged. He strode towards Butcher and landed several heavy punches on his face. He cursed everytime he landed a punch.

“You’re really annoying when you mock me. Do you understand?”

“I really don’t like it when you’re expressing your opinions. Do you understand?”

“I wanted to punch you ages ago. Do you understand?”

“I’m unconvinced. Do you understand?”
