Fang Ruhu left the apartment with his face clouded with grief. A few policemen followed him. They escorted the young lady Yuan Mei out to assist them in their investigation. Nobody talked for the entire process, and one could only hear heavy footsteps.

“Sh*t, d*mn it, what should I do?” Guo Jiaming cried as the police arrested his wife. He was panicking. The surrounding neighbors came out to see what was going on. The moment they saw Yuan Mei, who was kind and good-tempered, in trouble, they all sighed.

Yuan Mei’s mind was in a complete mess; she had no idea why she did not say the truth. However, she was a person who would not change her mind after a decision. Once she reached the ground floor of the apartment, she turned and looked up. Everyone thought she was looking at her husband. However, Zhou Qingfeng, who was on the balcony, knew she was looking at him.

“Did she say anything?” Zhou Qingfeng asked.

Aunty Zhang replied, “I’ve asked the police, Yuan Mei didn’t talk at all and just kept on crying. She was even struck by that Tiger Fang. I managed to take a glance at her, and I saw a handprint on her face. Even the corner of her eye was hurt. Poor girl, what has she done?”

Zhou Qingfeng was silent for a while, before he asked, “Aunty Zhang, do you know where Tiger Fang lives? I’m gonna send some gifts over, see if it’s going to work.”

“He lived in this district as well, in a very big house. You’d need to prepare more, I heard that Tiger Fang is hot-tempered and arrogant. If you didn’t give him enough money, he’d think you look down on him, and that will make things even worse,” Aunty Zhang reminded him.
