Chapter 145        Visit of the Cops

Night had fallen. Zhou Qingfeng was using Jenny’s thigh as his gun carriage to launch his fierce artillery bombardment. Jenny’s cry, however, woke up the little loli.

As the two were trying their best to reach their climax, the door suddenly opened. Anna stood outside of the door, holding a flashlight in her hand as she yelled loudly, “Victor Hugo, you’re a bad guy! Pull your ugly stick out of my mother’s body now. I will not allow you to penetrate her. Look, my mom is already crying in pain!”

F*ck me, I thought sex education is very common in the United States? How the hell is this common? What does this little girl even know…? Jenny is obviously crying because of satisfaction under my attack. Stop talking nonsense if you don’t even understand anything at all!

Anna instantly burst into tears when she saw her mother being bullied by a bad guy on the bed. The two naked adults had no other choice but to put an end to their midnight fitness training.

“What about me?” Zhou Qingfeng covered his private parts with his clothes as he asked Jenny with a grim voice. Jenny, on the other hand, was hugging her daughter and trying to comfort her. She then asked him to leave and sleep in another room.

However, when he moved to another room, an inexplicable consciousness suddenly reminded Zhou Qingfeng that the tenth day of his adventure in Wasteland had come to an end. He could return to the space-time of 2016 at any time, and he could take a car alongside him as his spoil of war.

He could only bring one gram of reward last time, but he could bring a car with him this time around? It seemed that the weight of his spoil of war was simply some random number generated. Zhou Qingfeng randomly took a few items beside him to test the system, but he was then informed that all of them were not a car.

However, there were currently tons of abandoned vehicles in Manhattan. Many of them were fully-electric automobiles that completely surpassed the technology in his original space-time. Zhou Qingfeng put on his clothes and walked out of his room. He left the neighborhood of the Armed Nun Society and wandered around the streets in an attempt to find a suitable vehicle.

In the end, Zhou Qingfeng chose a Mercedes-Benz six-wheel Pika. There were a lot of pits on the body of the car due to various impacts, making it appear extremely worn out. Therefore, it could be considered relatively low-key.

Despite the damaged exterior of the car, everything inside it was intact. Its battery power was even capable of traveling up to 108 kilometers, and its charging interface was also universal. When Zhou Qingfeng sat on the car, he did not immediately request that he return back to the 2016 space-time. Instead, he asked within his consciousness, “Can I carry a specific item when I return back to Wasteland?”

His consciousness quickly replied, “You’re still only allowed to carry some low-value items along with you, but you’re allowed to take some industrial products this time around.”

Zhou Qingfeng intended to bring some medical supplies from 2016 space-time with him. For example, in order to perform the reconstructive surgery on Mox’s throat, he will need a bionic cartilage with no bile rejection. However, he did not know what kind of artificial cartilage knot that could be considered as a low-value item.

The armed forces of the Armed Nun Society had always been very weak. They were now even lacking manpower after losing Mox. And so, he was trying to find ways to restore the combat abilities of his fellow comrades.

“I’ll think about it after I’ve returned them.” Zhou Qingfeng grabbed the driving wheel of the Pika with both of his hands as he instantly vanished from the space-time of 2030 and returned to the one of 2016. He was in his room when he left last time, but this time around, as he had taken a car along with him, he reappeared on the ground floor of his residential building.

It was pitch-black at that time, and no fingers could be seen when one stretched his hand. The light from the corridor gave off a dim glow. Zhou Qingfeng came out from the car, feeling refreshed after stretching his arms. He did not feel if there was anything unusual, so he pulled out the car key, took the stairs, returned to his house, and fell fast asleep.

Zhou Qingfeng slept so soundly, to an extent where he did not even know that dawn already had arrived. All of a sudden, he heard someone knock on his door. He woke up and was dazzled by the sunlight. He then walked toward the door in a daze, and gradually opened it.

"What's the matter?"

“We’re the police!”

Zhou Qingfeng had not figured out what was going on even after seeing the four to five armed cops breaking into his house. They kept looking around as they entered his house. The last cop who entered seemed to be a Class II Police Commissioner in his thirties. The commissioner’s expression was steely as he asked him, “What’s your name?”

Zhou Qingfeng had been running amuck in Wasteland for quite some time, and it had been a long time since he had last been treated in such a rude manner. He took several deep breaths and rubbed his eyes lazily before saying, “I’m Zhou Qingfeng. What’s going on? Why are you guys messing around with my house early in the morning?”

“Early in the morning?” The commissioner threw a few glances at Zhou Qingfeng and said, “Do you even know what time it is now?”

“I don't even have a proper job. Why should I care about what time it is?” Zhou Qingfeng turned his head around and looked at the other cops who broke into his house, and said with dissatisfaction, “What the h*ll do you think you guys are doing?”

The cops who broke into his house shook their heads at the commissioner as they could not find anything inside. However, the commissioner remained skeptical, and he shouted, “Zhou Qingfeng, stop hiding from me! Someone witnessed you killing people last night. Now tell me… where are the corpses?”

Zhou Qingfeng was surprised, and his whole body stiffened. He then saw the horrified young woman and her useless husband standing behind the commissioner.

“Just tell me honestly, there are allegations against you. There’s no way you can escape, and denial is useless for you as well. We’ve gathered all the required evidence to charge you.” The commissioner glared straight at him. With just a wink, the several cops inside his house stepped forward aggressively to capture him.

“Hey! Stop messing around!” Zhou Qingfeng immediately jumped backward and shouted, “I’ve never killed any people. You guys are just trying to frame me!”

The cops grabbed Zhou Qingfeng’s arm, and he had no other choice but to act as if he was trying his best to struggle free out of their grasp. The commissioner stared at him for quite a while, before finally saying, “Just show us your ID card and explain to us what you’ve done yesterday.”

What the f*ck, they’re really trying to frame me!

Zhou Qingfeng’s back was already soaked in sweat. The world which he was currently in was not the cataclysm era where human life was completely worthless. Instead, he was in a harmonious society, where the government and the police were both extremely influential and powerful. He could only escape for his life if he was targeted by the cops!

“What’s actually going on? What are you guys trying to ask for?” Zhou Qingfeng continued to act dumb.

The commissioner, however, did not bother with him anymore. Instead, he let a cop record a statement with him. The commissioner then turned around and looked at the young woman. The young woman instantly became nervous, up to a point where she was close to collapsing to the ground, yet she still tried her best to stay calm.

However, the commissioner was not trying to extract any information from her. In contrast, he used a calm voice as he talked to her, “My brother didn’t come back home yesterday, and the last time people saw him was at your orange stall. His phone is switched off, and his four subordinates have disappeared as well.

“Although my brother is quite troublesome sometimes, he comes back home no matter how late it is, as that’s the curfew I set for him. As for now, since he’s nowhere to be found, I’m pretty sure that something has happened.

“I believe that you, as a woman, do not possess the ability to kill my brother, and hence you must’ve received help from others. I might let you go if you tell me the truth. Otherwise, I’ll send you to your death!”

The young woman’s face drained of color after being threatened by the commissioner. Her entire body shivered in anxiety, and tears ran down from her eyes. However, she clenched her teeth as she insisted on not spitting out even a single word!
