On the fifteenth floor, the narrow corridor was dusky with moonlight shining faintly through the window. Only the corpses that were still bleeding on the floor could be seen. Some furniture and a huge amount of stuff made of paper blocked the corridor. They were all highly flammable.

The supply of electricity to the building had been interrupted, and the building was relying on its backup generators. Zhou Qingfeng smashed all the bulbs along the corridor. Then, he squatted at a corner and slowly took a few bottles of alcohol out of his bag. There were brandy, whiskey and vodka.

“But I’m telling you, while you escaped this time, you wouldn’t be as lucky the next time. You won’t be able to live any longer even if you escaped. Even if no one troubled you, hunger and sickness will still kill you. Trust me; it’s going to be harder in the future.

“What we can do now is to try our best to fight with others to increase the chances of our survival. What I want you to do later is very simple: Help me when I’m in danger. I don’t expect that you act professionally, but I hope that you can try your best.”

Zhou Qingfeng gently pushed Mobutu away and said, “Stay behind. I’ll call you when I need you.”

Dhak dhak dhak…! The unlucky gangster finished half of the magazine, then leaned on the wall. He breathed heavily and kept swallowing his saliva. The reason he so nervous was because he saw dozens of dead bodies on the way from the tenth floor.

Gangsters were not naturally brave. They were only arrogant when they have a lot of people with them and when they were at an advantage. They might be even more timid than ordinary people during normal days.

However, the gangsters were really afraid of Zhou Qingfeng’s way of killing. After all, they only have one life and it was impossible not to appreciate it.

“How’s it going out there?” Yakov hid behind the fire exit door as he yelled.

At that moment, Zhou Qingfeng heard Yakov and stood up immediately. He grabbed a flash grenade, pulled the pin, then threw it out.

The flash grenade attracted the attention of the gangsters and the two in front started to fire in the direction it came from. The gangsters behind them had panicked and messed up. Only Yakov saw what happened through the night vision goggles. He yelled at them, “Get down, idiots!”

A dazzling light shone through the dark after the explosion. Accompanied by a loud noise, the intensity of eight million candles continued for a few seconds. People could be blinded temporarily with such an intensity. Especially in the dark, it was extremely effective.

That was the benefit of a preset battlefield. Zhou Qingfeng was the one who could choose the moment to attack.
