Chapter 140: Outcast Set

I killed eight elite skeletons and each skeleton gave me over fifty gold coins, but there wasn’t a single equipment drop and the Outcast Set was what I wanted the most right now.

The Roaring Flame Spear fell with a golden glow and when the ninth elite skeleton fell, it turned into a bunch of gold coins and bones, but there was also a set of arm guards that fell.  It was the same dark leather armour with a magic glow around it, so it should be a part of the Outcast Set!

I happily picked it up and as expected, it was the Outcast Set’s arm guard.

But even if I brought red pots, that wouldn’t mean that I could kill the monster since the potions had cooldowns.  My HP would usually be less than half when I killed a skeleton, so I had to wait around for two minutes for my HP to fill up.  This was most likely the reason why Ling Xue was learning how to make bread since bread could be used to quickly recover HP once one was out of combat, so it was more beneficial than potions.

But life skills had just opened today, so no one could make bread right now and I could only think about it.  The skeletons had to be killed one by one and I had to wait for a while to recover HP after killing one.  I threw the heals onto myself one by one even though each one could only heal for around 100 HP.

The amount of elite skeletons on this White Bone Wilderness wasn’t small, it completely filled the area.

It seemed like I had already used up the first time, but it was a good thing that I was still the first person here.  There hadn’t been another player that had appeared, so it was very likely that one could only enter this valley by jumping down and there were no other entrances.  I didn’t say anything, so naturally people wouldn’t be crazy enough to jump off a cliff.

There were still four hours left, so I had to use them properly.  I had to kill all the elite monsters in this White Bone Wilderness once so I didn’t waste this trip!

So I said to Ling Xue, “That…..Ling Xue, I’ll log off tonight, I can’t leave right now.  I’ll log off at around ten, so just leave me some chicken in the fridge, I love that the most……”

Ling Xue snappily said, “Alright, it’s at ten?  I’ll log off to tell them and then I’ll keep leveling.  We’ll log off together at ten to eat!”

I couldn’t help being moved, “Why do you have to eat with me?”

Ling Xue explained, “Because…..Un, I don’t know either!  I’ll punch you if you ask again!”

Hearing the fierce tone of this little beauty, I couldn’t help smiling.  So I said, “Alright, then we’ll eat in four hours!  I’ll busy myself now”!

After sending Ling Xue off, I kept leveling.  When it turned six, there was a golden light that fell onto me as I reached level 53.  This rate of leveling really was shocking and on the Chinese rankings, I jumped from seventh to fifth, ranking under the Gale Warrior Hell Flames.  However, I believed that it would be easy to pass his level before I logged off at ten.

Not long after, the girls from Xue Yue logged back on after dinner.  Qin Yun called me and said with a laugh, “Bookworm, Ling Xue said you like stir fried chicken and corn soup the most, so I made two more portions and put them in the fridge.  You can eat it when you log off later!”

I secretly laughed.  The chicken was mine, but the other was definitely for Ling Xue.  Now she was actually putting the blame on me.

So I nodded with a smile and said, “Beauty Yun, where did you learn this craftsmanship from?  Girls in this era rarely go into the kitchen and you started your own advertising company.  This really is going to the office and going to the kitchen.  Whoever can take you as a wife must have eight generations of luck!”

Qin Yun couldn’t help pursing her lips into a smile, “If you think so, why aren’t you willing to accept me?”

My heart skipped a beat as I said, “I didn’t……Didn’t I bring you to Xue Yue?  Then again, who gets married right away, we weren’t that close before……”

Qin Yun said with a faint smile, “Alright, since it’s like this, I’ll give you a chance to slowly get more familiar with me.  Anyway, I’ll be at Xue Yue, so there will be chances~~”

I headed to the appraiser and in just a few minutes, Bing Cha’s beautiful form came in.  She said with a smile, “What kind of sword is it?  If it’s Bookworm, it shouldn’t be a Dark Iron item, right?”

I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, “I throw Dark Iron Items in the store.  Come quickly, this sword has quite the background!”

Bing Cha came to my side and I traded the sword Bloodthirsty World dropped to her.

I nodded before saying with a smile, “It isn’t some kind of treasure, then again, Ling Xue’s Light Flow Sword’s stats are better.  Just take it, this sword has quite the background!”

Bing Cha gave a laugh before taking the sword and asking, “What background does it have?”

I said, “I was fighting Bloodthirsty’s people this afternoon and I killed Bloodthirsty World, who dropped this sword.  This might be a sword that he spent a high price to buy!  Ha, ha, this really is satisfying!”

Bing Cha couldn’t help smiling, “Un, this is indeed satisfying!  But if I take such a precious item from you, won’t you have any requests for me?”

I snappily said, “Forget it, there’s no requests.  Even if there was, it wouldn’t be an excessive request……”

Bing Cha revealed a sweet smile, “Then I’ll thank Bookworm first!  This little girl will definitely pay you back one day!”

“Un, go level.  I’m logging off to eat!”

“Alright!”

After Bing Cha changed to the Wind Slashing Sword, she headed off to transport the potions.
