Virtual World: Conquering the World Chapter 54

Outside Luo Lie Village, the grass was growing high and the trees were shaking.

I did not walk far and suddenly saw a red hatted goblin holding a small axe spawning.

I couldn’t help smiling as I first looked at the little goblin’s stats.

I couldn’t help giving a laugh as I raised the Star Chasing Bow and sent out a fire arrow!

“1946!”

The Red Hatted Goblin’s pitiful defense could not stop it and my casual attack had already made it lost half of its HP.  Before the goblin could even reach me, I shot another arrow and the goblin fell down dead, dropping a few silver coins and also a red helmet.

I picked up the helmet to look at it.

Agility: -10

Required Level: 30

I broke out in laughter.  I could even get an equipment and its strength increase was not bad, but it decreased 10 points of agility.  Only those players that had White Equipment would be interested in this item.

However, I still threw this helmet into my inventory.

On the road, there were other Red Hatted Goblin that attack me that were all killed with two attacks.  Moreover, there were several Red Goblin Helmets that fell and I wasn’t willing to waste them, so I threw them all into my inventory!  

After several minutes, there really was a cave that appeared on the west side of the mountain.  When I lit my torch to head in, the name of the map suddenly changed to: Monster Tree Hole!

I could vaguely see a green coloured tree monster that was the height of two people slowly moving.  I immediately looked at its stats.

Level: 40

Attack: 280-420

Defense: 80

HP: 5000

Attack Type: Continuous Attack

I was a bit stunned.  This Green Leaf Tree Monster was much stronger compared to the Red Hatted Goblins outside, having around twice their attack!

Nocking an arrow into my bow, I directly sent an armour piercing arrow out!

With a “peng” sound, a white light hit the trunk of the giant tree, making it sway side from side, making him lose 1241 points of HP!

The Green Leaf Tree Monster swept out its hand and began to run over, swinging its tree arm at me!

With a “pa” sound, I felt a slight pain as my HP fell by a section.  I quickly moved back and decelerated the enemy with my ice arrow. Then with coordinating with my armour piercing arrow, I spent close to five minutes in this small space to kill that Green Leaf Tree Monster!

What was strange was that the Green Leaf Tree Monster did not drop a single silver coin or even a piece of equipment, it was actually a miser!  This should be because it was a quest monster, I helped the Moon Monochrome take care of it.

At this time, I walked deeper into the mountain and saw a large, spacious hall inside.  Inside there were seven Green Leaf Tree Monster around a Tree Monster Elder and they seemed to be talking about something.  

One of them said, “These damn humans, they actually treat us as grinding stones for experience, they are just bastards!”

Another said, “Last time it was that warrior, he almost ripped the elder’s leg off!  Next time he won’t dare to come back!”

The Tree Monster Elder said, “Humph, those pretentious humans do not deserve fear.  Recently there have been damn goblins came out of nowhere. I grabbed one to eat and its red hat was actually stuck in my throat.  I was coughing for several days before I could recover!”

Another Green Leaf Tree Monster immediately followed with, “That’s right, those damn red hats, they can actually cause that much trouble to our Tree Monster tribe!”

When I heard this, my heart couldn’t help skip a beat.  Perhaps those goblin helmets I picked up on the way here actually had a use!

In the large hall, there were a total of eight monsters.  If I wanted to go against them, it was no different from seeking death unless I found a way to exploit their weaknesses!

So, I quickly shot a fire arrow and pulled a Green Leaf Tree Monster over!

When that Green Leaf Tree Monster ran over, I threw one of the Red Goblin Helmets into its mouth and it gripped its throat as it stopped moving.

“Ding~!”

System Notification: The Green Leaf Tree Monster has been affected by the goblin helmet.  Its attack has decreased by 50%, defense has decreased by 50%, move speed has decreased by 50%, HP has decreased by 50%.  This will last for 600 seconds!

Success!  I was pleasantly surprised because ten minutes was enough for me to do many things!

This time, the other Tree Monsters came forward.  I did the same thing and threw the helmets into their mouths, including the Tree Monster Elder.  Like this, all the Tree Monster’s had their stats decreased. Other than the Monster Tree Elder, none of them could break through my defenses!

I directly took care of the Tree Demons and then seriously went against the Tree Monster Elder!

The armour piercing arrow slammed into the Tree Monster Elder’s chest and his bark was exploded out.  In less than five minutes, the main monster of the quest fell down. There were no gold coins or equipment that fell, only a single leaf!

I quickly ran forward and grabbed the leaf before running out of the cave!

Throwing away the torch, I didn’t say anything else and rushed to Luo Lie Village.  There had been no one that had advanced yet, so I could still be the first person to advance!

When I put that leaf into the warrior Luo Nuo’s hand, he couldn’t help excitedly saying, “Young man, your courage has already proved your abilities, come!  This is your proof of courage!”

“Ding~!”

Certificate of Bravery, this was the letter for promotion.

I was excited as I directly returned to the city, charging to the Job Change Hell with my 120 move speed!

When I showed the Certificate of Bravery to the Archer Job Instructor, she revealed an astonished expression, “Young man, you are truly too shocking!  Come, this is the glory that belongs to you!”

System Notification: The player, Uncle Sam (America) has successfully advanced, becoming the second player to have a proper Job in the world.  Prestige +300!
