Chapter 104: Princess’ wish

“1204!”

These four figures jumped outl, but I also had already lost 502 HP!

I became anxious.  They had 4000 HP and I only had 1590 HP, so if we traded, I would be the first to fall even if I drank potions!

I picked up the gold coin before looking at the item that fell.  As expected, it was a paper that was made from gold that was two millimeters thick.  The technology wasn’t that developed back then, so they would make books of gold.  Seeing the words written on it, I couldn’t understand at all and could only see the window over it.

[Princess Linda’s Diary (Page 7)]: Records the thoughts of a princess before her death.  You can gather the ten pages of the diary and start a quest, these pages are hidden among the maids!

“Ha, ha, it seems like I’ve triggered a quest!”  I revealed a faint smile and immediately threw the golden diary page into my inventory.  At the same time, I gave a sigh over how much this would be in gold coins if it was turned into gold coins!

In front of me was the site of the former royal palace and several Dark Witches were wandering around in the darkness around the debris.  If I wanted to gather the ten pages, I had to start with them!

Suddenly, there were the sounds of women crying in the ruins.  If you didn’t know what was going on, you would think that it was a scene of someone sneaking into a dorm.  Of course, girls in dorms were much stronger now, so you might be sent away with a broom or you could have a happy day of standing by the wall the next day nowadays.  Forget it, let’s not think about things not suitable for children.

Time flew by and it was already 8:30 in the morning when I collected the ninth page.  The girls of the Xue Yue Studio were already logging on after eating breakfast!

I said with a proud smile, “It’s alright!”

Ling Xue changed the topic and gave me an order, “Stop wasting words!  Quickly log off and rest, don’t get too tired!”

I said, “I’ll log off after I finish this quest, I can’t sleep now…..”

Ling Xue was speechless, “Idiot!  Of course your body matters more, what if you fall from how tired you are?”

I revealed a faint smile.  It was only playing for over ten hours, when I was wildly playing games, I had even played for over thirty six hours.  Of course, I was very tired then and when I logged off, I was very hungry and thirsty.  When I saw the buns in the bun shop downstairs, it was like seeing a naked girl as I charged forward to wildly swallow it.  The bun shop owner’s eyes had opened wide and had thought that I was a prisoner that had just escaped.

Ling Yue logged on and sent me a smiley before reminding me, “Rest early!”

I returned the message with a smiley.  Then Bing Ca, Summer, Zi Yue, and Rain Fall all logged on, greeting me.  Of course, I teased Bing Cha, Zi Yue, and Quiet Rain Fall before being teased by Summer.   My feeling was good since being able to live and work with these beautiful girls, not mentioning reaching level zero, it was worth it even if I went to level negative one.

At this time, I looked at the final Dark Witch and I charged at her.  My Bloodthirsty spear created two red lines in the air as the tip fell onto the Dark Witch twice, immediately shattering its stealth.  Then with an ice cold Ice Wind Thorn, as well as a normal attack, the Dark Witch was instantly killed without a chance to attack!

I couldn’t help sighing.  The 12 star strength growth rate of the Dragon Whisperer was too overbearing and adding in the Bloodthirsty Spear, my attack was even stronger.  Even a level 45 magician monster could be killed in three seconds, this damage output was already shocking!

When I put the ten pages in the same slot, I heard the game music change.  It had become a sorrowful song and there was a sad and beautiful singing that filled the air.  What was even more shocking was that countless Dark Swordsman and Dark Witches had appeared, instantly surrounding me!

Quest details: Find the finely crafted box in the ruins.  There is Princess Linda’s most prized comb inside the box.  Bring this box to Sunset City and hand it to Great Priest Ronin of Sunset City.

Looking at the quest, I was a bit surprised, but then I felt confident.  Although it had a difficulty of 350, that was because of my current level.  My stats were equal to a level 45 knight, so this quest shouldn’t be a problem at all.

At this time, there was a dazzling glow behind me.  When I turned, I saw a giant figure of light appear in the center of the ruins.  It was a beautiful young girl wearing a luxurious dress.  She was very beautiful and when she raised her hand, a sad song came from her mouth.

I understood that this must be a dead spirit.  There was the words “Princess Linda” above the head of the girl and it was clear that this was the princess of this kingdom, wandering as a soul.

Around me, a bunch of Dark Swordsman and Dark Witch NPCs had appeared.  They were kneeling on the ground with reverent looks.  Their names had turned green, which was the colour of an ally, so they would no longer attack me!

The Princess Diary was at the foot of the princess and her singing seemed like it was crying.  I couldn’t help trembling as my heart filled with a trace of pity.  I never thought that playing a game would actually make a person feel this kind of emotion!

Looking over, I saw a red box not far away from Princess Linda’s feet which wasn’t that big.

So I came forward and reached out for the box.

The princess stopped singing to look down at me, as her silver eyes filled with hope, “Young warrior, please take this gift to Sunset City’s Ronin……”

I nodded and the princess revealed a faint smile, creating a beautiful scene!

The princess gradually faded and the Dark Swordsmen and the Dark Witches stood there.  Their eyes filled with hatred again and their names changed from green to red!

I was surprised.  I had to immediately leave, otherwise once these monsters reverted back, I would be ganged up by them!

So I immediately left the ruins with the box.  When I left, this place returned to normal and the Dark Swordsmen wandered around, while the Dark Witches hid in the darkness again, preparing to attack any humans that came.

I wanted to walk back to Sunset City, but then I saw the City Return Scrolls in my inventory.  I felt that after being with Zi Yue for a while, my intelligence had started to drop.

I crushed a City Return Scroll and when I appeared in Sunset City, there were players walking around, looking quite busy.  Players hadn’t reached level 60 yet and once the first player reached level 60, the Main Cities all over the world would open at the same time!  At that time, it would become a real war!

After all, even the large Chinese Server only had two Main Cities.  Half the country’s players were fighting over a single city, it would become a true fight over dominance.  Just thinking about it made my heart fill with excitement.  Playing a game, isn’t it just for excitement?

So while walking towards the Sunset City royal palace, I looked at the rankings.  The changes in the Chinese level rankings wasn’t that big.

Me who was ranked first at level 50 had fallen down to level zero, so I was out of the rankings.  So Ling Xue took over at level 49 and Ghost Fire was close behind.  He must be very happy leveling as a Dark Magician, otherwise he wouldn’t be able to keep up this trend.

My old enemy Fated Madman had fallen out since he was killed by me while having a red name.  In the end, a normal archer girl called “Fleeting Time” had reached the top ten.  Like that, there was still an archer in the top ten players.

Of course, in the early stages of the game, archers, knights, clerics, and summoners found it hard to enter the rankings.  But in the later stages, assassins had much higher attacks, knight’s had stronger defenses, clerics had important buffs, and summoners had stronger pets, which made these Jobs much stronger.

But I didn’t have much hope in our Xue Yue Studio’s assassin Zi Yue and summoner Summer.  Although these two girls worked hard to level, their talent was there and it was hard for them to become a top female expert like Ling Yue or Ling Xue.

In the equipment ranking, my Roaring Flame Spear was unparalleled and second was Ling Xue’s Purple Wind Ring, but Ling Xue wasn’t high enough level, still she could use it in a day or two.  I needed to wait even longer.  Perhaps it was simple reaching level 30, but it wasn’t that simple charging to level 45.  Even with the help of Ling Yue and the others, it would take me at least a week to reach level 45!

While I was thinking about this, I had already reached Sunset City’s royal palace.  The royal palace was guarded very strictly with posts every two steps.  A person wearing armour called out, “Stop, this is the royal palace, no one is allowed in!”

I was a bit surprised.  I didn’t know how Ling Xue and Ling Yue got in yesterday to get me the Hero’s Proof yesterday, it was probably because of the quest item Dragon’s Proof!

So I immediately took out the princess’ box and showed it to the general, “I must give this to the Great Priest Ronin in the royal palace, I hope you can help me pass this message…..”

Great Priest Ronin was a bit surprised as he said, “Oh?  Let him come over!”

When the great priest saw the box, his expression had changed into a face of shock.  He reached out his skinny hand to touch the box as he muttered, “This is the country’s relic……”

Ronin opened the box after saying this, but he only saw a silver comb in the box.

Ronin was completely shocked.  His old face covered in tears as he screamed into the sky, “A hundred years!  A hundred years!  My love, Linda, just where are you?”

At the same time, I heard the system’s notification.

System notification: You have completed the quest [Princess’ Wish].  You have received 2500000 experience, 100 gold coins, and 450 prestige!
