Chapter 113: Mysterious girl

Ten minutes later, I rushed to the south of Sunset City.  I opened the map and found the position of the weapon shop, directly heading there.

On the side of the road, a couple looked at me and the girl said, “Look at how handsome that person’s black armour is!  Then look at you, you look like a nanny!” 

The man was a cleric, so he said in an aggrieved voice, “You said that your chest was too small, so I chose the nanny Job to make up for you and now you’re blaming me!”

The girl flipped out and said in a spoiled voice, “Keep talking, when did I say I was small!  Humph!  No matter what you say, you won’t get anything tonight!”

I broke out in a cold sweat when I heard this, what a valiant girl!

Coming behind the weapon shop, I saw a furnace burning and two barebacked blacksmiths hitting their iron, as the sweat dripped down their strong muscles.

At this time, there was an old man in rags and using a cane that came over.  He begged one of the blacksmiths, “Master, please give me something to eat!  It’s already been two days since I’ve last eaten…..”

The blacksmith raised a thick brow and said, “Go, go, go!  Do you have any copper?  If not, go away!”

The old man’s face turned dark and he leaned against a tree on the side, giving a long sigh.  There was a name above the old man’s head that said: “Wandering Poet Darwin”!

Wasn’t this who I was looking for?

I was filled with joy and immediately came over to say to the wandering poet, “Are you…...Master Hidden Dragon?”

The wandering poet was surprised.  He looked at me and said in a weak voice, “Little brother, can you give me something to eat?”

“Eat?”  I was surprised.  I had potions that one could drink, but I’ve never heard of food before, so I asked, “Where is the food, I’ll get some for you!”

The wandering poet swallowed his saliva before saying, “The west side’s widow Wang has opened a new chicken store.  Can you buy me some roasted chicken?”

I nodded and immediately turned to leave.  I came to the west street and after going around a few bends, I found a store that was overflowing with fragrance.  I came forward and said, “I want to buy your things!”

The boss lady said with a smile, “What does this customer want to buy, please choose for yourself!”

After saying this, there was a list that opened in my system’s interface.

[Wild Wolf Meat Bun]: 10 gold coins.

[Roasted Chicken]: 100 gold coins.

[Yellow Fish Soup]: 200 gold coins.

Damn, a roasted chicken actually cost 100 gold coins, this quest really did make me bleed!

I looked at my inventory, I still had 2200 gold coins.  I earned quite a bit from killing mobs these days and now the exchange rate for gold coins was dropping as players leveled up, so now it was only 2.5 RMB per 1 gold coin, so I was too lazy to exchange them.  It was better to sell equipment, earning gold coins for money was too low level, it was hard work for a small studio.

I bought a roasted chicken and spent 100 gold coins.

When I gave the roasted chicken to the wandering poet, he immediately revealed a smile, “Young man, you have a good heart.”

There was no quest prompt, so I could only go to the Adventurers Guild on his word.

Sunset City’s Adventurers Guild was very busy.  Not only were there players waiting for quests here, it was clear that most of the quests in Sunset City had been taken, it was hard to take another quest.

But the first floor of the Adventurers Guild didn’t have the villain I was looking for and because I didn’t have any quest prompts, there were quite a few players that looked at me in surprise.  After all, I was holding a red spear and wearing a set of black armour, which made me very conspicuous.  Although I hid my name, as long as there was a player that was 5 levels higher than me, they could see my name and Job.  It was a good thing there weren’t any experts over level 45 here.

I came to the second floor and I saw an NPC in front of me whose name slowly turned red.  They were called “Swordsman Mas”!

I couldn’t help being surprised, the “villain” the wandering poet mentioned was actually this person!

Mas looked at me and angrily said, “Kid, you are the goon that bastard Wandering Poet Darwin sent?  Ha, ha, he really is an idiot, he actually sent a brat who still stinks of breast milk!”

I laughed.  With my Star Eyes, Mas’ stats were all revealed.

At this time, Mas gave a roar and raised the sword in his hands to charge forward.  That giant sword directly broke through my defenses!

This high physical attack made me take a few steps forward as I couldn’t help being surprised.

I quickly moved, but Mas chased after me.  I turned to use an Ice Wind Thorn, as the Bloodthirsty Spear released an ice blue glow to stab Mas’ chest!

“Puchi!”

With a dull sound, there was an “890” that appeared about Mas’ head!

It’s still good!

I immediately swallowed a health potion before swinging with the Bloodthirsty Spear.  After two sweeps, I used the Sweeping Away Thousand Soldiers to deal 1300 damage to Mas.  He was knocked back, but he didn’t fear at all as he once again raised the sword in his hand to charge!

I revealed a faint smile and swept out with my spear, creating a gust of wind.  When Mas hit the ground, the Bloodthirsty Spear had already sent out a Whirlwind Slash!

“Peng!”

The spear hit Mas’ armour and Mas was once again knocked back, slamming into the wall that was behind him.

Mas was already affected by the Ice Wind Thorn, so I wasn’t in a rush to attack.  I took two steps back and quickly changed to the Star Chasing Bow, sending out an ice arrow and an armour piercing arrow.  There were bursts of light that came from Mas’ armour one by one.

Mas was fighting like a beast, swinging out with the sword in his hand.  Light suddenly exploded as he used the Sweeping Away Thousand Soldiers!”

“Keng, keng!”

“721!”

“689!”

“774!”

With three consecutive attacks, my HP bar dropped empty.  I was covered in cold sweat and quickly moved back to heal!

Mas didn’t plan on stopping as he kept approaching.  There was a green light that covered the giant sword in his hand and when he swept out with it, I found that I couldn’t move!

My body was frozen and I immediately felt that I would die!

“Ding~!”

System notification: Swordsman Mas has used the skill Blocking Edge on you, but your skill Dodge has activated and negated all the damage!

There was a large “miss” that appeared above my head.  I almost fainted from fear, I nearly thought that I would drop back down to level 39!

Mas was a bit slow after using his skill, so I quickly retreated.  I sent out another two ice arrows before using a cure on myself.

Very soon, my HP had returned to half, but Mas couldn’t heal and was already at a third of his HP.  With two more armour piercing arrows, he was left with only a sliver of HP!

When Mas was about to charge forward, I chose to charge forward, sending out the Sweeping Away Thousand Soldiers and the Ice Wind Thorn.  Two seconds later, my cooldown finished and I released my third Whirlwind Slash skill.  With the wind and snow, Mas’ final sliver of HP disappeared!

The powerful swordsman fell to one knee and kept panting as he said, “Young man, your courage really is admirable!  Tell Darwin that I’ll no longer bully him!”

I was filled with joy and immediately headed back.

When I came behind the weapon store and found the wandering poet, he was gnawing on the roasted chicken.  When he saw me, he ignored me.  I tried talking to him several times, but I was rejected by him!

“Damn, could it be that he won’t settle accounts after eating?”  I couldn’t help feeling doubt in my heart.

I could only wait on the side, but it was a good thing that in less than ten minutes, the half dead wandering poet suddenly had a light that appeared around him.  His name gradually changed and turned a bright blue colour, giving off the name “Master Hidden Dragon”!

I was filled with joy, it seemed like this old man really was the one I was looking for!

As expected, Master Hidden Dragon gave a laugh before saying, “Young man, you proved yourself with your kindness and courage, you are qualified to be a Dragon Whisperer.  Then, please prepare yourself, I will send you to the Dragon Territory and let you find a teacher!”

I was stunned.  Could it be that a Hidden Job Instructor was also a teacher?  There was the system’s reminder by my ear.

“Ding~!”

Where was the reason to not accept?

I immediately chose accept and Master Hidden Dragon began his obscure chant.  There was a glowing six star array under my feet and golden light rained down on me, attracting the attention of all the surrounding players, who all looked shocked.  Many shy girls said, “Wa!  So handsome, I wonder what his QQ number is……”

Someone on the side asked, “What do you want his QQ for, to talk?”

The girl’s face turned red, “You’re so bad, people want to talk in their sleeping clothes!”

My heart was ecstatic when I heard this.  When I was about to leave my QQ number, there was a powerful force that pulled me away, like my body was being ripped apart.  When I fell to the ground again, I was on a snowy mountain!

“Putong!”

My butt fell to the ground.  I don’t know if it was because it was Master Hidden Dragon’s first time, but he was like a noob as his teleport wasn’t stable at all.

It was a good thing that there was a thick layer of snow on the ground.  Although it was freezing, I wasn’t injured.  After standing up and patting my butt, there was a penetrating dragon roar that sounded!

When I looked up, I couldn’t help falling to the ground again!

There was a giant head that was covered in silver scales and eyes as big as copper bells that looked at me.  It was flying in the air, causing countless snowflakes to fly up from the flaps of its giant wings!

Dragon!

There was a powerful silver dragon that was in front of me!

I thought that dragons would only appear in the late game, but I never thought that I would see the continent’s most powerful being, the dragon this early!

I rubbed my eyes and couldn’t help saying in a trembling voice, “This…..Is it a real dragon?”

Who would have thought that this dragon would go from anger to despise.  It turned its head and didn’t spare a single glance as it flapped its wings, flying right into the valley!

I grabbed my Bloodthirsty Spear and took two steps forward, looking down to see that I was currently standing atop a snowy cliff.  Looking down, I saw the valley covered in snow, so I couldn’t see the ground.  Who knew just how high up I was?

Opening the map, the name read “Dragon Territory”!

Broken!  I couldn’t help giving a sigh.  I had been teleported to the legendary Dragon Territory, could it be that my Hidden Job, the Dragon Whisperer really was related to the dragons?

Looking at the snow below, I fell into thought.  Riches lied with danger, it was better to get down the mountain and see what I could gain!

So I took out my dagger and inserted the Bloodthirsty Spear into the snow.  I was planning on using these two weapons to go down the mountain, but there was a voice that was as beautiful as nature that rang out.

“Hey!  What are you doing?”

I was stunned.  This voice was a girl’s voice, could it be there were others here?

Turning around, I couldn’t see a figure, there was nothing there.

But when I looked up, my body couldn’t help turning soft and I almost fell down the cliff!

In front of me, there was a girl floating in the air!  What shocked me even more was that this girl’s white as snow robe danced in the wind, her milk white robe flapped in the wind, her snow like face was very smooth.  There was a pair of incomparably clear eyes that seemed like they could see through people.  She had a gold glowing sword in her hand that was clearly not normal.  There was a powerful energy that surrounded that sword, telling none that the sword wasn’t a normal degree of sharp with a single glance.

I was stunned, was this a NPC?  Why was she this beautiful…...

The girl looked at me and couldn’t help revealing a smile, “You’re finally here, I’ve been waiting for you for a long time……”

I was stunned, waiting for me?  Why would a NPC say these words to me?  Could it be that I had started a legendary “saving the beauty” quest by accident?

But facts proved that I didn’t start this quest and this girl really was waiting for me.  She landed on the ground as her white cloak fluttered in the wind, looking so good.

Finally I was able to see her name.
