As for her parents and her sibling, it's a shame that they cannot be revived. They are now labeled as "deceased" by the magicians. I even thought that you could use Gold Needle on them but that was a misconception on my part. Anyone who is petrified cannot live on more than a year in a petrified state. Even if they are cured, there is still no chance to save them. A person can only live for a week in a petrified state and your body will cease all function once you went past the week limit.

It was actually a very troublesome matter to keep and even the others were not sure how to handle the matter due to this case was labeled as unique. The magicians quickly ordered a wide search and eradication for the Body Thieves to avoid any disappearances. Apparently, body thieves are the ones responsible for several cases of disappearances in many places and might be a good breakthrough to some cases of missing people cases.
It's been two weeks since Tsukoyomi killed the Body Thief, Mirai already managed to return to her body and Tsukoyomi returned to his seclusion. He already managed to tell the revelation to the higher-ups but there is no news regarding this matter about Tsukoyomi's revelation.
Mirai, on the other hand, accepted the death of her parents and sibling. She already knew that they are already dead and no one can save them but after saying that, she fell depressed for at least 5 days before she recovered. It was quite a change of things to see her back again inside her body. It was kind of a miracle that she didn't have many complications after returning since she was almost killed after being out of her body too long.
Today, I am heading to Mirai's room. This time, I was tasked to tell her the real nature of the world and the existence of the magicians. Although she managed to retain a few her memories when she was still a soul, many of those memories of hers were wiped out so not all information especially during the magic that occurred during my battle against her body. This will be the time I need to break her naiveness from the magic.
When I arrived in her room, I saw Mirai with Moonlight. She was assisting her to walk. After being away from her body for so long, she can't properly recover immediately especially the trait to walk. And I never expected that Moonlight is the one who will be the one to help her recover from her traumas.
"Oh, its Kazuma," Moonlight said to Mirai who is focused on her training. When she heard my name, she stopped and looked into my direction. Once again, she started crying which made us panic about why she started to cry once again.
"Thank you... Thank you very much, Kazuma...that I manage to return to my body. " You held to your promise of helping me recover my body. "
"No, there is no need. Anyone would be willing to help someone in need," I said.
"You managed to help me even if the enemy is very dangerous. You helped and given me, a lot of things to make after realizing death is just pain and not always the escape this matters."
We chatted a bit about how she was and somehow, she is progressing from her recovery a lot. According to Moonlight, her recovery rate is very high which might be due to the influence of the Body Thief. From the looks of it, her body is now built to withstand magic attacks. No wonder she was labeled as a tank by the magicians. Her defense is just too strong.
"Anyways, you have something to say about me?" Mirai looked at me in curiosity.
"Ah yes, I need to tell you something," I said. Moonlight was about to go but I decided to hold her back because I am not that good in explaining magic terms. With Moonlight, I can get to properly convey the message to Mirai easily.
"You already aware that there are monsters in this world right?"
"Yes. After the possession, I am now aware that there are others besides humans and animals on the planet. But are we sure that they are not aliens?" Mirai asked.
"They were not. We call them monsters normally but they have names to classify them. Now that you are about to recover, we wanted you to recruit as a magician. Will you accept the offer? If you are still confused, we can explain many things that magicians only knows."
"Magicians?" Mirai looked confused.
"Indeed. People who fight against demons and monsters are called Magicians. Just like our name suggests, we are able to use magic and we use magic to fight monsters. And after your body was possessed by the Body Thief, your body managed to awaken the ability to use magic. Normally, civilians were not allowed to know the existence of magicians to maintain public panic that might occur. But your case is special that is why you are given the chance to decide. You can become a magician, and you will be able to use magic and will help us fight against monsters and demons but if you don't want this kind kf life, we can just let you forget everything and let you return to your normal life. Everything you know about magic and about us will be forgotten once you choose the latter choice. What is uour choice?" I looked at her.
"Kazuma, don't pressure her-" Moonlight said but she was stopped by Mirai.
"It's alright. I already know what is my choice and I will choose to become a magician. With my parents and brother dead, I no longer have a close relative that can help me with this. And besides, I've been meaning to dream about magic and be able to use it after watching movies involving magic and if I was being recruited, then I won't hesitate to learn magic!" Mirai said.
"You sure? It's going to be a hard and difficult life if you want to tread this path. It's not a smooth road and conflict between rogue magicians and monsters is always one of the problems of magicians and if you entered this world, you need to be strong to survive," Moonlight said to discourage her on her choice.
"I know the risk but I don't want to return to my dull life anymore. If I can choose, then I will choose that path and besides, I don't want to be alone again..."
Moonlight was about to say something when I stopped her. I decided to take the reins this time.
"Mirai, we welcome you in the world of Magic. Although it's not too late to back out, we will help you with your recovery first and we will discuss your magic training. And we hope you don't betray our trust to you."
