Ygdrassil's branch is one of the strongest pieces of wood in the world. It might not be the most common but it was the most used in terms of securing items that need a lot of protection like this one package I am going to bring right now. Now that I think about it, I have read in the articles in the chat group news page that they are planning to propagate the remaining Ygdrassil tree so that the supply of the Ygdrassil branch would significantly increase.

On the streets, I can feel different gazes directed to me but I am not sure where they are since I can't let them know that I already noticed them. I made my steps faster while trying to blend into the crowd to avoid the gazes. Activating [Haste] immediately, I made sure to keep on walking at a very fast pace while avoiding the people around as I try to blend in on the crowd. It will be hard but I don't mind it as long as it guarantees my safety out of this situation.

Soon, not only I have found out that some people are already trailing me. Some even tried doing ambush traps but failed. I don't want to get caught by them and I can't show my magic in public so all I can do is run while my haste is active. I don't have a vehicle and I think it is more secure of me to keep it with my embrace rather than put it on the basket of a bike, motorcycle compartment or somewhere you can store it in your vehicle.  Enemies are much more tricky right now so that only way for me to get away is to keep myself on the run like a wanted criminal.

There are at least 20 people following me already but they are not attacking yet. I think they tried to do attacks on me but due to the late reaction sometimes, I don't get victimized by it. I even found a few people trying to ask some directions to me but I don't want the package to get nabbed somewhere due to me giving a reaction to people asking for directions or other matters, so I decided to just keep it silent and never say anything to them before passing through them like they were just air.

Then, someone who already did not get to be on patience is a virtue version appeared. They attack me and shouted gibberish. One of the bystanders whom I just passed by earlier throws a knife towards my direction which means he is one of the pursuing people. I may have detected it but it's fast, therefore, dodging is not a viable action. Before the knife can actually reach my body, I used the box to cover my body from the knife. And as expected to the legendary wood, the knife did not even make a scratch. It was like I was using a shield instead of the box of items I am delivering.

If that is the case, isn't this box going to help me out against enemy attacks? This item is made from the branch of Ygdrassil after all. Another knife appeared while I was being chased but I quickly block it using the box and indeed, it was a very useful item for shield purposes. Is this why the parcel never gets a mark or damage when attacked and will keep the item inside, preserving what it really looks like.

Due to the knives flying in the air, many people are having a hard time, many were wounded, some did not get to dodge but suffered a big wound on their bodies. I bet the people are already calling the police so I am quite sure that the people will get stalled from following me due to the appearance of the police but I don't think I saved enough of their disrespectful times. I think I found the reason for me to increase my speed.

The crowd is already avoiding me and the people pursuing me since they started throwing weapons at me. It made me curse a lot due to the enemies getting more and bolder due to the people avoiding us like the plague we are. It was like the chase scene in an action movie where countless of enemies follows the protagonist. The only difference with me in my situation is that the enemies are trying to get the parcel I am holding on.

I can't hide anymore in the crowd because they started to clear the way as soon as I pass by while the enemies are closely following me. F*ck, I am getting tired from running and the weapons being thrown to me are getting more and more frequent that I am now getting wounded by missed weapons that I got no time to block. Instead of looking back, I just focused on running and casting [HASTE] again and again on myself.

Then, a phone call connected me to Rena. I grabbed my phone and answered the damnable call making it harder for me to defend and focus on running.

"Kazuma, are you almost there?"

"You don't want to save Mirai? I even paid for the item that is needed for her recovery. If you don't hurry, it might turn for the worse on Mirai."

"Damn!" I put the call on the button as I started running again. This is just the wrong thing for me, I saw lots of death flags for me everywhere. I shouldn't have accepted this errand. I thought it was easy but it ended up as a run between life and death while protecting this sh*tty item. This is just a very bad day for me.
