We started running without stopping in the dark forest. The dark forest is still heavy and although we have already run as fast as we can, it seems like we have covered only a few kilometers that are achievable by walking alone.

"Damn, running won't do us good!" Miya shouted.

"You two are the cause of this!" I shouted.

I face the horde and clasp my hands together and enveloped them in a flaming fury.

Miya pulls out her daggers and clink them together. As soon as the two daggers hit each other, blue liquid appeared on her daggers. "You two are not the only magic users here too."

"Are you two ready to launch a rampage?"

Miya readies her dagger in striking stance. "Ready to deal with some bones."

"Although it's been a long time since I have battled this much, I hope I am not that rusty," Catmod said as he put his paws into fists. Catmod and Miya dashed forward with their magic skills. I also made myself shot out to the horde. "These guys are so tenacious! Even though they are destroyed, they keep on coming back up!" Miya gritted her teeth.

"Is there any kind of AOE attack in everyone's arsenal?" I asked them.

"AOE?" Miya looked at me in confusion.

"AOE means Area of Effect. A magic that has the effect to cover a large portion of area in one go," I explained.

"I have a single skill but it needs a 2 minute casting time," Catmod said.

"That would be sufficient. I will cover for you while you charge it up!" I said.

"I also have the skill with a wide area but like Nekoyama, my skill needs a 2 minute casting time," Miya said as she holds off the enemies.

"You two? I guess I can manage that but please, start casting now!"

The two nodded and they started to charge their arms with their individual skills to use. I, on the other hand, needs to act as their tank. But I don't know how strong I am to last against these enemies.

The undead started assaulting as soon as they can. They must have sensed the mana being gathered in the area as the two channeled every bit of mana in their body out to cast the skill. I need to defend them as long as I can.

"Come at me and fight! You all will die!" I slam my palms to the ground and another series of Pillars of Doom appeared on the ground and cleared out the undead on the area that started to gather around.

Since they are surrounding around, I have to do it by rotating my positions and casting Pillars of Doom every side and yet, the undead that I have defeated once again rises back up and gathers around once again. My mana pool is getting lower and lower, and even with the Mana Tree on my body that supplies mana to me every second, it is not enough to supply the magic expenditure I keep on doing.

"Are you two done yet?! I can't hold on anymore!"

"Almost there!"

Sweat started pouring out of my forehead as I can't hold on anymore. I also cast my AOE spell.

"EARTHSHAKER!"

The ground shook and the skeletons on the surroundings were all broken to pieces but I know that it's not a permanent solution.

"We are finally done! We will be destroying them! Get away, Kazuma! Get some cover!"
