Not again. Why do some magicians really liked to fight against each other? And even those new people they just met will also meet the same treatment. Is this the norm in the magician world? That might sound a bit harsh and barbaric.

These guys started to clasp their hands together and stomp their feet together. After doing those steps, large grey magic circles appeared out of their feet and covered them in metal with spikes. While they are doing that, I didn't just stand and observe them.

I promptly activated the Forestry Control on my left hand while I conjure the Fireball in my other hand. As soon as the flames that gathered in my right palm, I didn't waste it staying in my palm, I quickly throw it to the direction of the magicians chanting for a sort of spell.

But to my surprise, the fireball I have thrown was easily deflected by someone who just arrived and from the looks of it, the person just deflected the fireball using his bare hands alone. There were no gloves or anything that would cover them from the fireball.

"I did not come here to fight! I just came here to buy something!" I said as I conjure another fireball while maintaining the Forestry Control in my other hand.

"Really... well, we don't care if you are here to "buy" or anything else. But since you stepped in into our turf, we would not turn a blind eye here."

"Your turf? Then how to enter the store without stepping in your turf?" I asked.

"Oh? That is a good question. Well, you can enter if you are flying hahahaha!" these rogue magicians said and they started laughing.

This really pissed me off that I didn't bother what they were saying. With the Forestry Control under my control, I looked at them in anger and gritted my teeth.

"Now kid, we can turn a blind eye if you escape and never come back here, but we can beat your ass off and keep on breaking you down, you have your choices, which one are you going to do?" the leader grinned evilly.

"Hmph, you think I am afraid of you bastards? I will not retreat because one of my friend's life is at stake here. I can't fail here and I won't just go back without carrying anything. I don't want to fight but if push turns to shove, I will not hesitate to beat you all black and blue!"

And before the others can react, I slammed my left hand that has been holding the concentrated power of the Forestry Control. As soon as my palm comes in direct contact with the tiles, a big Green Magic Circle appeared below my palm. As soon as it started rotating, vines started to sprout out on the tiles where the other magicians were standing. They did not expect it when I used it. The vines quickly tied up their bodies tightly. I controlled the vines' growth and manipulate what kind of vines they are. I closed my left fist and focused on them.

The vines started to grip harder and thorns started to appear out of the stems. They are quickly poking their skins and as the vines grip tighter, the thorns penetrate their bodies deeper.

"URK!"

The magicians mocking me started to cough out blood from their mouths and they have not made out of the vines whatever struggles they do. It looks like they have no counter on it, but one of them just keeps a calm demeanor despite being bonded by the vine. Just as I thought that they would all suffer in suffocation, the guy who is calm despite the situation he was in opened his closed eyes and fast slashes cut through the vines that bind him.

He faced the others and did the classic pull out sword sheathe technique and within a split second, all of the vines that I summoned were cut to pieces. But even though they are cut to pieces, the victims were left out bleeding and they fell unconscious on the ground. The only one left standing is the guy who is calm despite the attack. I remembered him earlier. He was the one who deflected my fireball using his bare hands.

EH...

WAIT...

He is not carrying any weapon in his hands and body, and even using mana scan, he didn't have a single weapon with him. Then what the heck did he use? Obviously, it was the bare hands of his that he used. I can still see the smoke coming from his hands after using the technique he used.

For some reason, I was too wary of this guy. He didn't seem hostile to me but his ability scares me since even though he is barehanded, his hands act as a sword or knife. I didn't launch an attack. Besides, he is not one of the guys who attacked me, he just helped them a bit but he did not assault me or anything. Just as I thought he would attack me, he turned around and entered the store without batting an eye out of me.

I was rendered speechless from that. Just what are his motives or what does he really do? He seemed like he is in cahoots with the rogue magicians but now, if he was in cahoots, he would either escape and start running, or he will attack me to take revenge for his homies. But I did not expect him to come inside the store. Looking at these guys on the ground, I doubt they will be waking up soon. And besides, I still have to take back the item that Rena is asking me to fetch.

Inside the store, it was indeed quite normal looking store to be exact and no, there are no eye-catching items here that will make you glitter your eyes. It's just a basic store with normal items for sale. If so, why did those magicians outside wanted to stop anyone from entering this place? A trial just to enter? I don't really understand their logic.

"Welcome to our shop, young man. What can I get from you?"

I almost jumped out of fright when an old man appeared behind me, smoking using the tobacco pipe. I was creeped out since he appeared without even showing a slight part of his presence. It was like he faded from that spot and appeared once he wanted to.

"Oh, it looks like you are a newbie. Hahaha, sorry, it was a habit of mine to appear behind my customers and catch them off-guard. I am the store owner of this place, just call me Old man Sakaki."

"Ah, nice to meet you, I am Kazuma Fukuyama. Nice to meet you, sir," I said to him.

"Did you have trouble earlier outside before you managed to enter the store?" he asked as he blows another smoke from the tobacco pipe.

"Yeah. The others are also a magician but I managed to reduce their ability to fight. I made sure that they will feel pain but I did not go too far to cripple them, I just made sure that they would be in a sorry state for a while," I said.

"Her name is Rena and she ordered red incense and Talisman of Afterlife."

The old man nodded and he looks at me with curiosity. "So you are the one tasked to pick up the package huh? I was asked that the items are in utmost importance and she didn't want it to sabotage or be stolen by others so we already have something that needs you to verify as the one target meant to give you the suitcase. Please understand since there so many imitations happening right now. Some are just plain liars so we are making sure that we are not being ridiculed. We would like you to prove to us that you are the one.

"I understand."

"Since the Talisman of Afterlife that we are talking about, is very expensive and rare, many conman and deceivers are always on the lookout. If you are the real person that is claiming the package, show me the proof."

"Sure!" I said and was about to conjure a blue fireball when someone else appeared.

"He is a conman. Don't give the items to him," a voice emerged on the shadows.

I quickly recognized him, that guy who seemed to be the one who never get panicked in the situation where I bind them using Forestry Control. But what is he saying that I am a conman?

"Then who are you?" I asked.

He grinned and nodded to himself. " I am the one entrusted by the parcel. You need to get lost."
