Chat Group For Magicians Chapter 156 Who is the impostor?

I was baffled by what the guy earlier said. He is claiming he is the real Kazuma? You think you are fooling anyone? But I didn't think someone with be so courageous to proclaim that he is the one in front of the real guy he is posing for. The old man is calm and looked calmly on us as he inhaled the smoke coming from his tobacco pipe.

"You saying you are me then?" I said as I calmly try to expose the impostor.

"Oh really? You think you are me then? I am the one who received the parcel, how come someone uninvited will also come to pick up the item?" he smugly looked at me with bloodlust in his gaze.

I've been under severe trouble these past months and his glare barely felt bad to me that is why I am not taunted by the fake. However, just what is his goal in faking his own identity? To take the parcel? That was just plain waste of time. Why don't they just buy rather than steal it from the original owner? The impostor quickly approached the old man and extended his hand to the latter.

"I want the package immediately. I need it immediately that is why I need to get it immediately."

"Hmm, there is no rush young man," the old man said. "The package won't run away so why not settle down for a bit?" the old man said as he smiled to the impostor and to me.

"I am calm and collected, sir. I am not in a hurry to take it," I said to him. I am not as rushed at this guy.

When the impostor heard this, he visibly panicked and he glared into the old man. "Old man, you are testing my patience! How about you give the package to me immediately?! Do you want to get beaten?!"

The old man did not get angry, instead, he grinned and looked at the guy with a cold glint in his eyes. Yet, the impostor seemed to be too angry that he did not notice it.

"Is there any method that can verify who is the real guy sir? I am sure one of us is the impostor and that impostor would do anything to achieve his goal."

"Really, huh? You are not afraid of being exposed?" the impostor said while grinning.

"Of course. Why would I be afraid? There is nothing for me to hide."

When he heard that, his smile froze. It was like he is hearing something he didn't like. The old man inhaled another one from the tobacco pipe before he looked at us.

"We have the impostor checker and identity checker here. However, it is currently not with me at the moment, so I prefer that you two will undergo blood battle."

"Blood battle?" I asked.

"Hmph, clueless eh? This information is something basic for magicians so it is a shame that you have no idea what it was. Now then, I will explain this kind of battle that is very common and profound knowledge a magician should have.

Blood Battles occurs between two individuals, regarding on races or gender. They will bear the mark of blood in their hands and they will undergo blood ties. Anyone who gets to spill blood out of their body will get additional damage from the blood. It is also used to check someone's credibility like what is happening to us right now. Anyone who undergoes Blood Battle can only reveal the real intent in their actions. Anyone who has a weak will gets consumed to death by the Blood Battle God. So if you are afraid, then this is your time to back out, or death awaits you."

I nodded in satisfaction as I learned a piece of information that no one told me. This guy is very knowledgeable. But that doesn't change the fact that he is an impostor and he is willing to do anything to take whatever he wanted to get.

"Let's get our preparations ready for the Blood Battle if everyone agrees to perform the Blood Battle, then release your magic power out," the old man said.

I didn't hesitate and activated the power out of my body. But then, I noticed that this guy hesitated before he activated an aura similar to mine but somewhat weaker than mine. Just how much does he want to copy me? This is beyond comprehension on me. His actions were quite predictable and not predictable at the same time.

The old man led us to an arena somewhere around the underground mall. This was a secret arena that the old man is trying to create which is in the end, did not happen since the dojo's creation is not happening.

That was similar to the rituals of the ethnic people when they do battles to battles though most of the time, it was just a derivation to the original content.

If I used the technique I used against the delinquent magicians, then that would spell really bad for me.

Furthermore, this guy's power is not something I know. He uses magic but he mostly uses his hands rather than actually using the power of the magic itself. I don't know but I felt so much danger coming from him.

What I am concerned now is that, why he is doing this? Why is he trying to steal away the parcel for Rena? I can't convince the shop owner from my real identity this time due to the appearance of this other guy.

I bit my forefinger in my left arm and started writing the symbol that the old man said to us. By keeping it nice and cool, the blood quickly dried up and the wound no longer bleeds. The other one was too cocky looking that I don't know why he is there showing that skills of his that looked useless? No one knows but I am clear that he didn't bode well for me.

We started to go to the center of the arena to start our battle. His aura is very immense and I can tell that he is doing his best to suppress me in power. However, suppression no longer works on me. The old man stands in the middle of the arena. He stood there while still sipping on his tobacco pipe.

"Now then, the two of you will undergo the Blood Battle. It will be akin to a duel but something more bloody. I am not saying it's fine to kill each other but if any of you wanted to prove the truth then be sure that you all are prepared to do the fight for your life. This battle will only end if the other party surrenders or they admit that they are the fraud ones. Until then, the fight will continue. Is that clear?"

"Yes."

"Got it, old man."

The impostor is still very cocky. Although I am not confident in this battle, I will make sure to reveal that he is the fraud. Being an identity thief is a very worse profession that anyone can get. And I will make sure, I will rise up as the victor.
