Maple is having a hard time with her enemies. It was clear that the enemies are much stronger compared to the last horde as Maple needs to kick twice the amount she usually released from the rats. Sweat started pouring down her face as she continues to beat enemies without rest.
Unlike Maple who can fight with a slight amount of mana consumption, I had to suffer in fatigue and slight nausea due to my intense Mana consumption. I only used pure magic skills which is not a good start for me who only has a limited amount of mana at the moment. The beasts are much more stronger than the rats. Since rats can be killed via one fireball, the new beasts were not easily killed by the same method and you need to beat them up by releasing two or more fireballs which greatly exhaust my mana tank the longer the battle drag on. Well, with the help of the mana tree, I was able to recover mana without resting.
A big cat monster strikes out with its sharp claws towards Moonlight. I was the nearest person defending Moonlight but I can't deal enemies so fast. Therefore, I had to attack head-on with the cat. However, I underestimated the cat that before I managed to finish off the cat, I was wounded deeply in my hands. It was a very foolish move of mine that caused me to get injured. The blood started dripping out of my hands like a broken tap which causes me to go weaker a bit. But I endured the injury as it was not a fatal one, only that it bleeds too much.
I did not realize that a few droplets of my blood trickled down to the egg in my sling bag. Because the egg is so big to accommodate itself into the bag, I can't close the zipper which made it open. The blood in my wound trickled and covered the egg with blood. I didn't notice it at first but soon, I did not expect it to glow into a bright blue light.
The beasts stopped their attacks and Maple stopped attacking as she saw the glowing egg on the bag. Itazura seems to be also affected by the aura of the egg which made her raise all of her furs. I also noticed that the negative energy in the air is being sucked in by the egg like a whirlpool. Moonlight opened her eyes as she never expected her ritual to abruptly stop. Her eyes soon fell to the egg in my bag. She had not expected that the dark energy she is trying to cleanse is being sucked in by the mysterious egg.
As soon as the negative energy in the air disappeared, the beasts seem to recover from their stupor and when they noticed what they were doing they quickly escaped with their tails tucked between their legs. I also noticed that the blood in my hands is also being absorbed by the egg. But what made me stunned is the slow process of my wound healing. It was like the wound is never there in the first place and I never even expected that it won't leave any kind of scar which would make me remember my days when I am older, sadly, that is just a pipe dream.
Maple supported the weak Moonlight towards me as I held the egg in my hands that is still glowing with a blue faint light. It looked so bizarre because it's the first time I saw a glowing egg in my life. Also, it seems to have grown lighter from what I remembered. It was no longer heavy when carried around which is quite something.
The three of us watched the egg slowly crack its shell slowly as it shook in my hands. The blood that originally covered the eggshell earlier suddenly disappeared and no longer visible it was like it got washed off from the eggshell even if I didn't do it. The egg continues it's struggles until the egg cracked open. A stream of red and blue light escaped the eggshell. Aside from that, a small humanoid figure curled up in the middle of the stream of light appeared as it floated out of the eggshell. I noticed that the figure curled up has two colors of black and white, symmetrical to its hair.
"This is..." Moonlight did not manage to say what she originally wanted to say because she is staring at the humanoid figure in awe.
Maple is the one who commented on the curled up creature's real name.
"Elemental Pixie's void form, the Chaos form?"
"Chaos form?" I looked at Maple. This is the first time I heard of forms that the Elemental Pixie has. Lil' Blue did not give any kind of information about the egg about its species at all except that it was an Elemental Pixie but aside from that, nothing else.
"Yes, Chaos form. Its the form that comes from absorbing both positive and negative energy during it's hatching process and from the looks of it, the darkness is much more dominant than the light since her hair, her outfit and her wings have only a slight white color while the black color is much more dominant."
I looked at the curled figure and I noticed that what Maple said is right. Just then, it slowly opened its eyes and slowly looked at me with its tranquil eyes.
"Daddy?"

I recently read the comments and most of the readers drop the novel because the mc is such a coward or something. I don't know what to say about it, why all of the readers expect that the mc will go arrogant once he earns powers? Although you all didn't like his personality, it's fine for me because its part of the plot. If I change the plot because of the readers, then just take over my novel and continue writing it. I am not against criticisms as long as they are reasonable and can help me improve but to keep babbling about the mc's attitude is cowardly then stop reading this novel. Besides, there are much better novels that have an arrogant personality in the beginning only to get boring in the future.
