Chapter 45.1: Acknowledge as Master

Just as everyone was still unclear about what was happening, a white haired old man flew directly into the hall from outside.

Such a familiar voice, she seemed to have heard it from somewhere before? Yet she could not remember.

Duanmu Xi took a peek.

It's him?

It was that white haired old man in the forest which Lan Ze had lost his beggar's chicken to.

"Are you the few old brats who wants to snatch my disciple?"

Situ Kong walked to the front of those Elders and raised his brows proudly.

When they heard him ask with such a questioning tone, all of them could not help but swallow their saliva subconsciously.

Perhaps others may not recognize Situ Kong but these few Elders had met him before and knew his fame. Nor one dared to speak any further.

A glint of interest flashed by Nalan Xi's eyes.

So this was the disciple that that old man had chosen.

His vision was indeed very perceptive, it even had three of the Elders snatching her to be their direct disciples. This lass must be extraordinary.

When the grey robed old man heard Situ Kong's words, his heart tightened and disappointment was written all over his face.

It looks like today, he could not accept this disciple.

Situ Kong did not pay attention to the surprised stares of everyone as he turned immediately to Duanmu Xi and beamed brightly, "Lass, we meet again."

Duanmu Xi had no choice but to look up this time.

The moment everyone saw the stunning countenance of Duanmu Xi, they all took a deep breath.

She was so beautiful!

Did a fairy descend from the Heavens?

Duanmu Xi faintly nodded her head and this was a stark contrast with the overly familiar manner which Situ Kong was portraying.

Just the term 'Senior' which she called him immediately made his smile crumble and his expression immediately turn sullen as he looked at her with a face full of grievance.

"Lass, call me Master."

How hard was it for him to get this disciple?

He spent so much effort and made Nalan Xi open up and enrolment and in the end, his precious disciple was almost snatched away by these old brats. Up till now, she was still not willing to have him as her Master.

Looking at his face filled with grievance, Duanmu Xi could not help but frown.

"What I want to learn is Alchemy."

When he heard this, Situ Kong's face lit up immediately.

"I am an Alchemist, if you don't believe me, ask them."

The moment he finished his words, he pointed to the three elders.

All three elders had lowered their heads, as if they had not heard his words at all.

Who asked him to snatch disciples with them, they did not want to testify for him.

In the end, it was Nalan Xi who walked up to Duanmu Xi with a face full of smiles.

"Young lady, he is indeed Sacred Gold Academy's special elder and is an Alchemist."

When Situ Kong heard Nalan Xi's affirmation, he nodded his head and looked at her in anticipation.

When she heard the words 'special elder', a thought flashed through her mind.

"You are that Elder Situ?"

Situ Kong was stunned for a moment before he immediately nodded his head fervently.

The crowd which was initially quiet stirred up once again.

The name Elder Situ was famous and rumours had it that he did not accept any disciples. Yet this time, he was actually practically begging this peerless Young lady to be his disciple. If they had not witnessed this personally, even if you beat them to death, they would never believe it to be true.

A glint flashed by Duanmu Xi's eyes.

For Little Shadow's sake, it looked like she had to be his disciple.

"This disciple greets Master."

Duanmu Xi immediately got down on one knee and respectfully bowed her head as she paid her respects.
