Chapter 9 . 1: Cultivating Again From Scratch

Seeing Duanmu Xi looking so moved, the corners of Lan Ze’s lips lifted up slightly .

“This is the Water Spirit Fruit, and it can help restore your meridians . ”

It was really the spirit fruit of legend . Lan Ze was actually the Ancient Divine Beast guarding the Water Spirit Fruit and she had truly gained fortitude in the midst of calamity .

Duanmu Xi slowly swallowed the Water Spirit Fruit in her hand . The spirit fruit melted immediately in her mouth . She could feel a fresh spring flowing inside her mouth, the fresh sweetness flowing into all her major internal organs, her blood vessels and meridians, her every pore feeling so comfortable like they had been fully moisturized .

She could clearly feel the severed meridians inside slowly being restored, where even the internal injuries she sustained was healing up bit by bit .

Moments later, Duanmu Xi’s body glowed with a blue light that grew more and more brilliant, a special kind of light that belonged only to a Water type Spirit Wielder .

With the constantly changing light shining out from Duanmu Xi’s body, she had suddenly become the same King of Spirits she had been before she passed through the void . Although not a Spirit King capable of wielding all spirit power elements, but it was enough to made her excited . The feeling of such much power coursing through one’s body felt so good .

Lan Ze’s face was greatly comforted to see Duanmu Xi turning into a Water Element Spirit King but then knitted up his brows immediately thereafter .

“Why not just advance straight to become a Spirit Sovereign?”

The corners of Duanmu Xi’s lips raised faintly and she said in a soft voice: “Haste makes waste . ”

Lan Ze’s eyes brightened and he nodded .

“That sounds logical . Mistress, you’re so clever . ”

“Thank you Lan Ze . ”

Duanmu Xi carried Lan Ze up and ruffled his head, her eyes sincere .

Regardless of all that had happened before, she really had to thank Lan Ze . As without him, she wouldn’t how long it would be before she would be able to restore her meridians .

“There is no need for Mistress to thank me . This Water Spirit Fruit belongs to you anyway . ”

Duanmu Xi’s face furrowed up, not understanding what Lan Ze was saying .

“This Water Spirit Fruit is not mine . I was merely helping my Mistress guard it . ”

No one knew that he had remained here for several thousand years waiting his Master to appear .

Duanmu Xi’s eyes flashed with a glint . [Waited a few thousand years just for her . Could her passing through the void have been destined?]

[Forget it . Come what may, she can only accept it . No matter who is arranging for all of this to happen, she will not submit herself to fate . ]

“Is there any place to rest here?”

“Behind that clump of shrubs, there is a cave . At times when I get bored with being in the spirit pool, I will stay in that cave for a period . ”

Lan Ze said as he pointed at a clump of shrubbery beside the spirit pool .

Chapter 9 . 2: Cultivating Again From Scratch

It was night, and Duanmu Xi sat beside the fire, thinking which path she should take on her journey ahead .

To save Little Shadow, she either had to become a Heavenly level Elixir Cultivator herself or to find a Heavenly level Elixir Cultivator .

But she was still too weak now and if she were to step out of this deserted island, the person who severed her meridians would definitely not spare her . So she would need to start her cultivation again from scratch . She needed to become strong, as only when she gained power would she be able to protect herself in order to save Little Shadow .

Little Shadow had said it before . The method of cultivation in this Vast Heaven Continent was about the same as what she had learnt before in the past, which still revolved around mystical powers and spirit powers .

Cultivators of mystical powers were called Mystic Masters and cultivators of spirit powers were called Spirit Masters .

Mystic Masters were more adept in close combat . There were nine levels in total and in ascending order they were: Mystic Warrior, Mystic Master, Mystic Chieftain, Mystic King, Mystic Supreme, Mystic Sovereign, Mystic Emperor, Mystic Saint, Mystic Deity . And every level was further split into low grade, median grade, superior grade, and peak, four separate grades,

Spirit Masters were skilled in long distance attacks . The nine levels in ascending order were: Spirit Warrior, Spirit Master, Spirit Chieftain, Spirit King, Spirit Supreme, Spirit Sovereign, Spirit Emperor, Spirit Saint, Spirit Deity . Every one of these levels would be further split into nine minor grades, from one to nine .

And besides her Water element having reached the Spirit King level now, everything else was a big fat zero . Hence, she knew the path ahead of her was still very long .

Considering the position she was currently in, Duanmu Xi then chose to cultivate the Wood and Earth elements first .

Half a month later, a green light and a black light then came to shine out from Duanmu Xi’s body at the same time .

Red, green, indigo, blue, purple, black and white, these seven colours represented fire, wood, wind, water, snow, earth, ice, the seven spirit elements .

After half a month’s absorption and refinement, Duanmu Xi had successfully broken through level zero, and had advanced to become both a Wood Spirit Warrior and a Earth Spirit Warrior .

Such speed was really absolutely terrifying but it might be due to the fact that Duanmu Xi was cultivating these powers for the second time, and was already familiar with the process . Added to that, she possessed extraordinary gift and hence her speed of advancement would naturally be much faster than others .

Within the ice pool upon the ten thousand year old snow mountain, a golden robed old man with his hair and beard a full white was summoning his powers to treat a black robed youth’s injuries .

The golden robed old man was the King Snow Wolf who stood guard over this ten thousand year old snow mountain, Elder Snow .

And the black robed youth was his maternal grandson, Xuanyuan Mo .

‘Spurt!’

“Mo Er . ”

Seeing Xuanyuan Mo suddenly spurting out a whole mouthful of blood, Elder Snow quickly retracted the power from his palms in shock .
