Chapter 14 . 2: They Meet

In her dreams, Duanmu Xi looked like she felt the warmth as she snuggled her tiny face into the coat, and turned her body to the other side before falling deeper into sleep .

Xuanyuan Mo looked at Duanmu Xi’s adorable look and the corners of his lips lifted helplessly on their own, his eyes filling up with a look of doting indulgence that he himself was not aware of .

Midnight .

“Mistress, wake up… . . ”

Duanmu Xi was roused awake by Lan Ze’s anxious call .

Not knowing the reason why, Duanmu Xi sat up immediately to survey her surroundings warily . When she did not find anything wrong, a glint of puzzlement flashed in her eyes .

“Mistress, it’s that youth . Something is wrong with him . ”

Duanmu Xi turned to look at the youth, a little mystified . She saw that he was curled up on the ground, the black robe on his body no longer on him, but was wearing just a thin white inner robe .

Duanmu Xi was taken aback a moment before she lowered her head to see the black piece of clothing on herself and her eyes glinted . She picked the black outer robe off her body and walked over to the youth, to check on his condition .

[That is some severe internal injury!]

“Lan Ze, shield us as I will be in a meditative trance . I am going to treat his injury . ”

Duanmu Xi draped the black outer robe back over the youth’s body and summoned out Lan Ze .

“Yes Mistress . ”

Duanmu Xi looked at Xuanyuan Mo who was in a rather bad state and her brows creased up tightly .

Fortunately she had now attained the Water Spirit King level . Otherwise, she would not be able to treat his internal injuries at all .

“Spring of Life, heal . ”

With that soft command, all the water spirit energy in Duanmu Xi’s body gathered together to form into flowing spring water, that slowly swirled around Xuanyuan Mo’s body .

As Duanmu Xi’s water spirit energy continued to flow out, the pale pallor on Xuanyuan Mo’s face slowly regained some colour .

After about an incense stick’s time, Duanmu Xi slowly retracted her water spirit energy, her tiny face turned slightly pale, looking rather exhausted .

“Alright . Lan Ze, you can return . ”

Duanmu Xi’s voice sounded very weak .

“Mistress, are you alright?”

Seeing Duanmu Xi’s exhausted looking face, Lan Ze’s heart winced up in pain and he started to feel a twinge of regret . If not for the fact that he had seen the man being nice to his Mistress, he would not have woken his Mistress up to save him .

“I’m fine . Go back into the space in my consciousness . ”

Duanmu Xi’s lips stiffened . Fortunately she had the Water Spirit Fruit to replenish her water spirit energy, otherwise, she would not be able to last the entire period of one incense stick’s time .

“Alright Mistress . Call for me if anything comes up . ”

Lan Ze looked agonizingly at Duanmu Xi and then disappeared from inside the cave .

Duanmu Xi saw the slightly better looking colour on the youth’s face and felt his forehead with her hand, to discover that it was still burning .

Duanmu Xi’s brows furrowed up and she took out some medicine for fever and flu from her crystal orb .

After converting the modern medicine into an ancient medicinal brew form, Qing Yu came beside the youth and cradled his head up slightly, thinking to feed the brew into his mouth . But the medicine just would not go down and all she managed to do was only to wet his clothes instead .

Qing Yu looked around and did not see any bamboo pipe or anything that could act like a funnel of sorts . Seeing the cold sweat beaded upon the youth’s forehead, Duanmu Xi’s brows knitted up .

In that case, she could only… . .
