The goons surrounded Da Tian Ting and Feng Kai Ze. She was right, rich people were trouble.

‘Little monkey, what do you we do now?’ Da Tian Ting asked. ‘They’re going to hit us.’

Da Tian Ting didn’t want her and Feng Kai Ze to die or end up in the hospital for months.

‘Remember, no matter what happens, you’re not allowed to risk your life to protect me,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘This is no time to sweet talk,’ Da Tian Ting said.

Da Tian Ting thought Feng Kai Ze looked like an emperor surrounded by his eunuchs.

‘As long as you’re safe, I’m always in the mood to sweet talk,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Feng Kai Ze squeezed Da Tian Ting’s nose.

‘Hey,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘Be serious. We’re outnumbered by stronger people.’

‘Where are they?’ Feng Kai Ze asked.

‘Little monkey, I don’t want you to risk your life,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘Let me apologise to Mac Kai An, and we can leave.’

‘You don’t need to apologise to her,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘She provoked me, because she doesn’t want to live anymore.’

‘But…’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘Stand beside me and leave the rest to me,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Under different circumstances, Da Tian Ting would have argued with Feng Kai Ze to state her case.

Mac Kai An wanted to teach Feng Kai Ze and Da Tian Ting a lesson. How dare Feng Kai Ze choose an ugly woman over her?

‘Stop exchanging lovey dovey looks,’ Mac Kai An said. ‘Don’t you two know what a dire situation you’re both in?’

‘Mac Kai An, since you look like you want to suffer, I’ll help you,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Mac Kai An thought an ordinary person wouldn’t have the same cold deadly aura like Feng Kai Ze. Whoever he was, she wasn’t going to lose to him.

‘You’re in no position to help me,’ Mac Kai An said. ‘It’s me who’ll help you suffer.’

‘I’ll make your death wish come true,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘Anyone with eyes can see who’s in control,’ Mac Kai An said. ‘One word from me, and you two will become punching bags.’

‘Are you certain?’ Feng Kai Ze asked.

‘I’m certain,’ Mac Kai An said.

Mac Kai An’s initial fear wore off. She was in control so she had nothing to fear.

Mac Kai An’s confidence increased Da Tian Ting’s anxiety. Da Tian Ting didn’t want anyone to hurt Feng Kai Ze.

Feng Kai Ze calmly called Ju Feng’s phone.

‘I want you to make Mac Kai An’s name blacklisted from her agency and the film industry,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘After you’re done, I’ll explain why.’

Mac Kai An thought Feng Kai Ze was bluffing. It wasn’t possible for him to destroy her career with one phone call.

‘Stop bluffing,’ Mac Kai An said. ‘A nobody like you have no power to destroy my career.’

‘You’ll get to see right now,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Feng Kai Ze looked at the news on his phone, and was satisfied with Ju Feng’s handiwork. Ju Feng released all of Mac Kai An’s scandalous secrets.

Da Tian Ting was curious why Feng Kai Ze was smiling. She looked over his shoulder, but he closed the window screen on his phone before she could see what was on his phone.

‘Hey,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘What were you looking at that made you so happy?’

‘Reading a bit of news,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘How can you read the news at a time like this?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

Da Tian Ting stood closer to Feng Kai Ze, and felt safer.

‘I’m a forgiving person,’ Mac Kai An said. ‘If you two apologise to me right now, I’ll pretend nothing happened.’

‘I’m…’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘Don’t apologise to her,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘Apologising isn’t a big deal,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘It’ll save our hinds.’

Da Tian Ting thought Feng Kai Ze’s damaged brain was having a relapse.

‘You didn’t do anything wrong so you don’t need to apologise,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘Don’t make a big deal,’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘I’m making a big deal,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘She hurt and scared you, and offended me. She ignored the warnings I gave her. I’m not giving her another chance.’

‘Little monkey…’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘Who are you?’ Mac Kai An asked. ‘Tell me your name so I can write your name on your tombstone.’

Mac Kai An received a phone call from her agency’s CEO.

‘CEO Tu, is something wrong?’ Mac Kai An asked. ‘Why are you calling me at this late hour?’

Feng Kai Ze smiled at the sight of Mac Kai An’s pale complexion while she received the bad news from her agency.

Da Tian Ting was worried Feng Kai Ze was sick, because he was smiling during a dangerous situation.

‘What?’ Mac Kai An asked. ‘CEO Tu, how can you cancel my contract? I just signed a new contract with your agency. Why did you break all my film contracts? Give me a legitimate reason why… hello, CEO Tu?’

Mac Kai An was about to call CEO Tu’s phone, but her manager called.

‘What?’ Mac Kai An asked. ‘What do you mean I don’t need to come on set tomorrow? What do you mean all my film contracts are cancelled? If you don’t find out why, you’re fired… hello?’

The goons backed away from Feng Kai Ze and Da Tian Ting, because Mac Kai An’s look of despair meant she lost everything.
