Underdog Versus Boss Chapter 52

Du Tian Ting remembered the first day she met Feng Kai Ze. He told her she wasn’t allowed to touch him. The second time they met, he told her that they were strangers, looked at her like he hated her and left her stranded. In her memories, he only insulted her and hurt her feelings. She didn’t believe he wanted to pursue her.

‘Mr Feng, I’m going to be straight forward with you,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘If you want to play with someone’s heart then go and find another sucker. Bye.’

Da Tian Ting got out of bed, she picked up her bag, took two steps and her stomach hurt. She hunched over, held her stomach and endured the pain.

‘Sit and eat breakfast,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘Why do I need to eat if you tell me to eat?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

Da Tian Ting didn’t want to accept Feng Kai Ze’s breakfast.

‘Why are you making your stomach suffer?’ Feng Kai Ze asked.

‘It’s my stomach and I can make it suffer if I want to,’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘I told you, your business is my business,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘You need to eat.’

‘Why do I need to eat?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

‘Because you suffer from a periodic stomach ulcer,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘After you eat breakfast, I’ll take you home.’

‘How do you know about my stomach ulcer?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

‘Because the doctor that gave you a check-up informed me about your medical history,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘If you don’t eat, I’ll…’

‘You’ll what?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

Da Tian Ting got the impression Feng Kai Ze wasn’t totally heartless. At least he wouldn’t do anything to directly harm her, and there were a couple of occasions he was nice to her.

Da Tian Ting didn’t want to eat Feng Kai Ze’s breakfast, because she understood there was no such thing as a free lunch in the world. If Shang Duan Hua lied to her for ten years, it meant a stranger like Feng Kai Ze was likely to have an ulterior motive to be nice to her.

Feng Kai Ze leaned his face close to Da Tian Ting’s face again.

‘I’ll kiss you,’ Feng Kai Ze bluffed.

Da Tian Ting accepted Feng Kai Ze’s breakfast. She sat on the bed, and began eating.

Da Tian Ting reasoned she ate because she was hungry. It wasn’t because she was scared Feng Kai Ze would kiss her again.

Feng Kai Ze was happy he finally got to see Da Tian Ting eat the breakfast he brought her. In the past she secretly put food and drinks in his bag. It was his turn to take care of her stomach.
