On Monday morning, Da Tian Ting tried on different combinations of her limited casual clothes, but her pjs looked better than the casual clothes she owned.

Since the wedding, Da Tian Ting wanted to show Feng Kai Ze the best side of her. It was the first time she cared about what to wear to go out. The wedding didn’t count because Feng Kai Ze hired stylists so she didn’t need to think about what to wear.

‘What do I do?’ Da Tian Ting asked her old clothes. ‘My clothes are old and ugly. What do I wear? Why wasn’t I embarrassed to wear them in the past?’

Da Tian Ting laid on the bed, and looked at the ceiling.

‘Can someone tell me what I should wear?’ Da Tian Ting asked the ceiling.

Feng Kai Ze walked into Da Tian Ting’s bedroom. She was lying on the bed, her clothes were scattered around the bedroom and she was mumbling to herself. He figured she was trying on clothes, and indecisive about what to wear.

‘I know what to do!’ Da Tian Ting said.

Da Tian Ting sat up on the bed, and noticed Feng Kai Ze standing in her bedroom.

‘When did you get here?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

After Feng Kai Ze’s moving love declaration, Da Tian Ting was embarrassed to let him see her wear ugly clothes.

Feng Kai Ze didn’t care what Da Tian Ting wore. He sat on the bed next to her.

‘What’s your solution?’ Feng Kai Ze asked.

‘I…’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘What’s wrong?’ Feng Kai Ze asked. ‘Normally you’ll tell me everything that’s on your mind. Why are you shy today?’

‘I’m not being shy,’ Da Tian Ting denied.

Feng Kai Ze gently rubbed Da Tian Ting’s lips.

‘Looks like someone is being shy because of me,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘It means I’m someone important to you.’

‘No one is shy because of you!’ Da Tian Ting denied.

Da Tian Ting turned her head away from Feng Kai Ze.

‘OK,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘I’ll stop teasing you. But I want you to know that I love you being yourself. You don’t need to change yourself for me.’

‘Are you telling the truth?’ Da Tian Ting asked. ‘You don’t mind me looking like an old maid?’

‘Looks fade but the truth doesn’t,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘You’re beautiful being yourself.’

‘I’m not changing myself,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘I only want to wear nice clothes to look like I’m suited to be with you when we’re out on the streets.’

Da Tian Ting didn’t want to lose Feng Kai Ze if one day he decided he didn’t want to be seen with a country bumpkin anymore.

‘I get it,’ Feng Kai Ze said. He held Da Tian Ting’s hand. ‘Let’s go.’

‘Where?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

‘Shopping,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘To buy what?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

‘Everything,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

If Feng Kai Ze wanted to take Da Tian Ting shopping, she needed money so she didn’t forget to carry her bag.

Feng Kai Ze and Da Tian Ting walked downstairs to the lobby. She admired his back that was sturdy and reliable.

The concierge saw their only guests in the lobby, and they greeted their guests.

‘Sir, madam, what would you like to eat for breakfast?’ a concierge asked.

‘I’m taking my girlfriend out to eat breakfast,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Feng Kai Ze took Da Tian Ting outside the apartment hotel. She wanted to slow down, and admire the country view, but he was in a rush.

‘Hey,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘We’re just going shopping. Slow down, there’s no rush.’

‘Let’s get into car,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘Can’t we walk for a while longer?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

‘We can walk at the shops,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

One hour later, Feng Kai Ze and Da Tian Ting came out of a designer clothing shop dressed to the nines.

Da Tian Ting finally understood the positive effect of wearing nice clothes.

‘Now we look like a matching couple,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘So don’t say nonsense like you’re not suited to be with me.’

‘I didn’t say I didn’t suit you,’ Da Tian Ting denied.

‘You don’t need to admit the truth because my heart understands,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Da Tian Ting smiled, held Feng Kai Ze’s hand and enjoyed the sunshine. But her good mood was dampened by Shang Duan Hua’s phone call.

Da Tian Ting didn’t want to answer Shang Duan Hua’s phone call. Why was a married man calling her? To brag? Her phone kept ringing. She decided to answer to tell him off.

‘What are you doing calling me?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

Feng Kai Ze grabbed Da Tian Ting’s phone.

‘In the future, do not cause trouble or call my girlfriend again,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Feng Kai Ze hung up Da Tian Ting’s phone, and Da Tian Ting thought his jealous face looked cute.

Feng Kai Ze ignored Da Tian Ting’s smile mocking him.

‘In the future, stay far away from the troublesome Shang Duan Hua,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘Not even to tell him off on the phone?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

‘It looks like I need to get you a new phone and change your number,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Feng Kai Ze wasn’t joking. He took Da Tian Ting to buy a new phone, and changed her phone number. She didn’t mind, because she didn’t want to stay in contact with Shang Duan Hua’s family or her uncle’s family.

On Shang Duan Hua’s end, Shang Duan Hua regretted marrying Da Ming Sheng. He thought Da Tian Ting brought Feng Kai Ze to the wedding to make him jealous. But in a short month, Da Tian Ting had gotten over him, and living a good with Feng Kai Ze. He didn’t want to accept Da Tian Ting ignored his existence after loving him for ten years.
