On the streets, Da Tian Ting confronted Feng Kai Ze.

‘Tell me who you are,’ Da Tian Ting said.

Da Tian Ting wanted to know why Feng Kai Ze would burn money on her.

‘I’m Feng Kai Ze,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘I know your name is Feng Kai Ze,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘What I want to know is your real identity. Why didn’t you blink while burning money?’

Da Tian Ting thought Feng Kai Ze’s name sounded familiar to her.

‘Tell me, what is my identity?’ Feng Kai Ze asked.

‘If I knew, I wouldn’t ask you,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘Tell me what you’re hiding from me.’

‘If you want to know, marry me,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘I’ll tell you everything you want to know about me, including the number of hair on my body.’

Da Tian Ting warned herself that she couldn’t trust someone mysterious like Feng Kai Ze.

‘Let’s go eat dinner,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Feng Kai Ze held Da Tian Ting’s hand, and she pulled her hand free.

‘Don’t touch me without my permission,’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘Have you forgotten that you’re my girlfriend?’ Feng Kai Ze asked.

Da Tian Ting let Feng Kai Ze hold her hand, because she needed him to attend the wedding with her.

‘After the wedding, you go your way and I’ll go my way,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘You’re not allowed to follow me around after the wedding.’

Da Tian Ting reasoned she could put up with Feng Kai Ze because she wanted to take revenge on Da Ming Sheng and Shang Duan Hua by looking her best and living a happy life.

Feng Kai Ze didn’t state his intentions to follow Da Tian Ting around for life.

Da Tian Ting let go of Feng Kai Ze’s hand again to answer her phone.

‘Yes uncle,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘I’ll come there now.’

Da Tian Ting ended the call with a heavy heart. She didn’t want to go back to her uncle’s home.

‘What happened?’ Feng Kai Ze asked.

‘My uncle wants me to go to his home to pick up something important that I left behind,’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘What is it?’ Feng Kai Ze asked.

‘He said he wants to give it to me in person,’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘I’ll come with you,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘No,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘I don’t want uncle to misunderstand about us.’

‘Have you forgotten?’ Feng Kai Ze asked. ‘I’m your boyfriend who you’re taking to the wedding. Everyone will know I’m your boyfriend including your uncle.’

Da Tian Ting accepted if the people she thought were her family who misunderstood her, another misunderstanding wasn’t going to make a difference.

‘OK,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘Come with me to my uncle’s home.’

Half an hour later, Feng Kai Ze and Da Tian Tian arrived at her uncle’s home.

Da Qing Feng heard the doorbell, and opened the door.

‘Tian Ting… who is this?’ Da Qing Feng asked.

Da Qing Feng thought his niece transformed into a different person. His niece looked more beautiful than his daughter, and made a striking couple with the man standing next to her.

‘Uncle…’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘Hello uncle,’ Feng Kai Ze greeted. ‘I’m Tian Ting’s boyfriend.’

‘Boyfriend?’ Da Qing Feng asked.

Da Qing Feng didn’t know how his niece moved out for a few days, and returned with a new boyfriend.

‘Uncle, what’s wrong?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

‘Nothing,’ Da Qing Feng said. ‘Come inside.’

Feng Kai Ze walked inside with Da Tian Ting. Her uncle’s home was a shoe box. He understood why Da Ming Sheng graduated three years ago but invested in beauty regimes instead of job hunting. Da Ming Sheng wanted to snag a rich man to escape poverty.

Da Qing Feng quickly hid the pile of unpaid bills and junk mail on the coffee table. He didn’t expect his niece to bring home a new boyfriend.

‘Take a seat,’ Da Qing Feng said.

‘Qing Feng, is Tian Ting here?’ Ning Kan asked from the kitchen. ‘Tell her to clean the apartment. It’s a mess.’

Feng Kai Ze didn’t care about the size of the apartment. He cared about how Da Tian Ting’s family treated her. Ning Kan’s unfiltered words spoke volumes, Da Tian Ting was her family’s slave for ten years. What kind of uncle and aunt called their niece to their home and demand their niece to do housework after their daughter stole their niece’s fiance?

Da Qing Feng smiled awkwardly at Feng Kai Ze who looked like he was about to explode.

Da Tian Ting was used to doing housework, and her body automatically turned into cleaning mode.

Feng Kai Ze held Da Tian Ting’s hand.

‘You don’t need to clean their home,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘It won’t take long for me to clean the place,’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘Tian Ting, this isn’t your home,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘Don’t clean another person’s home.’

‘Tian Ting, he’s right,’ Da Qing Feng said. ‘You don’t need to clean. Take a seat.’

‘Uncle…’ Da Tian Ting said.

Da Tian Ting was a neat freak. She couldn’t believe what a pig sty her uncle’s home turned into after she was gone for a few days.

‘Tian Ting, ignore your aunt,’ Da Qing Feng said.

‘Yes uncle,’ Da Tian Ting said.

Da Tian Ting sat next to Feng Kai Ze on the sofa.

‘Tian Ting, when did you meet your boyfriend?’ Da Qing Feng asked. ‘Why didn’t you me about your boyfriend?’

‘Uncle…’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘Uncle, Tian Ting and I have only been together for a short time but I love her,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘After I heard Tian Ting’s fiance left her, I did everything to make her my girlfriend.’

Da Tian Ting was amazed at how convincing Feng Kai Ze’s lies sounded. If she didn’t know the truth, she would have believed him.

‘Qing Feng, tell Tian Ting to go buy groceries after she’s done cleaning the toilet,’ Ning Kan said from the kitchen. ‘There’s nothing left in the fridge.’
