Da Tian Ting kicked Feng Kai Ze out of her apartment.

Feng Kai Ze walked back to his apartment smiling. His smile turned into a grimace after he saw Hong Shi Na sitting in his living room.

Feng Kai Ze walked to the sofa and pulled Hong Shi Na’s arm.

‘Get out of my home right now!’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Hong Shi Na held onto the sofa arm.

‘Kai Ze, you’re hurting me,’ Hong Shi Na said.

‘Remember, you don’t have permission to call my name,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘Do you want to leave on your own or do you want me to make you leave?’

‘Kai Ze, I…’ Hong Shi Na said.

‘I’m counting to three, if you don’t leave in three seconds, I’ll toss you out,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘Listen to me…’ Hong Shi Na said.

‘One,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Hong Shi Na didn’t want to leave.

‘Two,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Hong Shi Na didn’t know what to do to convince Feng Kai Ze to let her stay.

‘Three,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Hong Shi Na stood up from the sofa. She saw Da Tian Ting holding a bowl of food at the front door so she hugged Feng Kai Ze and kissed his chin, because from Da Tian Ting’s angle, it would look like he kissed her lips.

Feng Kai Ze didn’t expect Hong Shi Na to throw herself at him. He was about to push her off him, but Da Tian Ting’s voice paralyzed him.

‘I’m sorry,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘I didn’t ring the bell because the door’s unlocked. I’m sorry for interrupting. I’ll leave, and give you two privacy.’

Da Tian Ting carried the hot bowl of combination noodles she made for Feng Kai Ze back to her apartment. After thinking over things carefully, she had decided to take a gamble on Feng Kai Ze. She thought it didn’t matter if he was rich or poor as long as he cared about her. So she made him dinner to thank him for taking care of her during the toughest time of her life, and to tell him that she wanted to give them a chance to be together.

Da Tian Ting sat against the front door, and put the bowl on the floor. She didn’t expect to see Feng Kai Ze kissing another woman in his apartment. Why did she believe him when he was only playing with her feelings? Why did he lie to her and said he wanted her to be his wife? Why did his lies hurt more than Shang Duan Hua’s betrayal?

Da Tian Ting cried on her knees, and told herself to stop crying because of Feng Kai Ze’s lies. She and Feng Kai Ze were strangers, it didn’t matter who he kissed.

Da Tian Ting wiped her tears, picked up the bowl and ate the combination noodles. A liar like Feng Kai Ze didn’t deserve to eat the food she cooked.

In Feng Kai Ze’s apartment, he pushed Hong Shi Na off him. She held onto his waist to stop him from chasing after Da Tian Ting.

‘Let go of my waist!’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘Kai Ze, give us one chance,’ Hong Shi Na said.

‘Hong Shi Na, if you don’t let go of my waist right now, I’ll make you suffer!’ Feng Kai Ze warned.

‘Kai Ze, all I’m asking for is one chance,’ Hong Shi Na said.

Hong Shi Na didn’t want to let go of Feng Kai Ze, because she didn’t want him to explain the truth to Da Tian Ting. Her mother taught her a way for a woman to hold onto a man’s heart, the woman needed to have thick skin.

‘Hong Shi Na, this is your last chance to let go of me!’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘I’m not letting go of you,’ Hong Shi Na said. ‘Kai Ze, I love you. I loved you since the first day I met when I was a little girl. Kai Ze, give me a chance.’

‘Hong Shi Na, don’t make me laugh,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘How can you say you love me when you know nothing about me? If you knew me, you would know I hate people touching me without my permission.’

Feng Kai Ze gripped Hong Shi Na’s wrist.

‘Ah… you’re hurting me,’ Hong Shi Na said.

Hong Shi Na let go of Feng Kai Ze’s waist.

‘It’s good you can feel pain and scared of dying,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Feng Kai Ze pushed Hong Shi Na off him, and she sat on the sofa again.

‘Kai Ze, I’m not letting go of you,’ Hong Shi Na said. ‘You’re going to marry me next month.’

Hong Shi Na always got everything she wanted, Feng Kai Ze wasn’t going to be an exception. She wasn’t going to lose him to a country bumpkin.

‘You’ll never have the chance in your life to be my wife,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Feng Kai Ze thought if Hong Shi Na wasn’t Hong Shi’s company’s heiress, she would be exactly like all the other scheming gold diggers.

‘Why are you rejecting me without giving me a chance?’ Hong Shi Na asked.

‘Some people don’t deserve a chance,’ Feng Kai Ze said.

‘I deserve a chance,’ Hong Shi Na said.

‘You don’t deserve a chance,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘Hong Shi Na, this is my last warning. Don’t appear in front of me again or I’ll make you regret you exist.’

‘Today I’m staying here,’ Hong Shi Na said. ‘You can’t do anything to make me leave.’

‘Who would expect Hong Shi’s company’s gentle princess is actually no different from a street worker?’ Feng Kai Ze asked.

‘I don’t care what you say, I’m not leaving,’ Hong Shi Na said. ‘Besides, there is nothing wrong about me staying inside my fiance’s home.’

Feng Kai Ze gripped Hong Shi Na’s wrist again, and pulled her outside his apartment.

‘Hong Shi Na, get it into your head, I’m not your fiance!’ Feng Kai Ze said.

Feng Kai Ze closed the front door.

‘Kai Ze, I’m going to stand outside your home and wait for you,’ Hong Shi Na said.

Hong Shi Na wasn’t going to let Feng Kai Ze explain the truth to Da Tian Ting. She called Hong Shi Chi to come help her.

Inside Feng Kai Ze’s apartment, he called Da Tian Ting’s phone to explain instead of going to Da Tian Ting’s apartment because Hong Shi Na was outside.

Feng Kai Ze called Da Tian Ting’s phone countless times, but she didn’t answer his call. He hated Hong Shi Na, it was Hong Shi Na’s fault for causing Da Tian Ting to misunderstand him.

In Da Tian Ting’s apartment, she cleaned the empty bowl and witnessed Feng Kai Ze kicked Hong Shi Na outside his apartment but Hong Shi Na refused to go home. He called her phone many times. She didn’t pick up and switched off her phone. If he wanted to explain to her, there was no reason why he didn’t explain to her in person since he lived across from her apartment and had a key to her apartment. It meant he was a player. He got a thrill out of playing with women’s feelings. He fooled her once, she wasn’t going to be fooled by him a second time.

Da Tian Ting packed her belongings into a suitcase, including the box. She was going back to her father’s hometown where Feng Kai Ze couldn’t find her.

Da Tian Ting put all of the clothes, bags, jewellery, makeup and shoes Feng Kai Ze bought her on the dining table. Then she left a note for him, ‘I’m giving back your belongings.’

Da Tian Ting picked up the packed suitcase, she went to return the apartment key to her former landlord and left the apartment building.
