‘Father, you got to curse and hit me,’ Feng Kai Ze said. ‘Is there anything else?’

‘You!’ Feng Jia Yong said.

Feng Jia Yong pretended he didn’t regret slapping Feng Kai Ze’s face.

‘I don’t care what you do with your life,’ Feng Jia Yong said. ‘The only thing I expect from you is for you to marry Shi Na.’

‘Don’t force me to oppose you,’ Feng Kai Ze warned.

Hong Shi Na didn’t know why there was a rift between the father and son. But she knew winning Feng Kai Ze’s heart was harder than touching clouds. She was going to do everything to win his heart.

‘I don’t care if you oppose me,’ Feng Jia Yong said. ‘The bride I’ve chosen for you is Shi Na.’

‘Why don’t you kill me and bring my corpse to marry her?’ Feng Kai Ze asked.

Feng Kai Ze turned around, and walked out of the Feng Mansion.

Dai Fang Dung retrained Feng Jia Yong’s arm.

‘Why can’t you be civil toward Kai Ze?’ Dai Fang Dung asked.

Dai Fang Dung was tired of seeing her husband fight with her step-son for sixteen years.

‘It’s your fault for coddling him,’ Feng Jia Yong said.

‘I can say I love Kai Ze like a mother loves their son,’ Dai Fang Dung said. ‘Can you say you’ve been a dutiful father toward Kai Ze? Why must you always be harsh toward Kai Ze?’

Dai Fang Dung was infertile. In her heart, Feng Kai Ze was her flesh and blood. It hurt her to see her husband treat Feng Kai Ze like a dictator treated their subordinate. Her life dream was to hear Feng Kai Ze willingly call her mother.

‘Uncle, aunty, I should go home,’ Hong Shi Na said. ‘I’ll come visit uncle and aunty another day.’

‘Shi Na, aunty is really sorry you had to witness the ugly scene today,’ Dai Fang Dung said.

Dai Fang Dung understood Feng Kai Ze was someone who didn’t change their mind once they’ve made a decision. Even though she disagreed with her husband forcing Feng Kai Ze to marry Hong Shi Na, her hands were tied.

‘Shi Na, I’ll ask a driver to take you home,’ Feng Jia Yong said.

‘Uncle, my driver is waiting for me outside,’ Hong Shi Na said. ‘I’ll see uncle and aunty another day.’

Hong Shi Na smiled sweetly at Feng Jia Yong and Dai Fang Dung. Then she walked to her driver’s car.

‘Jia Yong, you should admit the person in the wrong today is you,’ Dai Fang Dung said.

‘Go find my bastard son to nag,’ Feng Jia Yong said.

‘Jia Yong, Kai Ze hated living here since the first day you brought him here,’ Dai Fang Dung said. ‘Kai Ze resents you taking him away from his mother. If you want Kai Ze to cut ties with you then you’re succeeding.’

‘Stop nagging,’ Feng Jia Yong said. ‘He’s marrying Shi Na whether he wants to or not.’

Dai Fang Dung shook her head helplessly. Her husband and step-son were stubborn like each other.
