"So… did you just answer my question?!…" Duncan didn't wait for his system to answer because Alberta and Bernie were already killed...

They were too low of a level for this challenge...

He withdrew his black monarch sword, activated blade shadow, and the level 17 flesh golems began testing his dodging abilities as long clawed arms extending past his head...

Frankly, if he didn't practice swordsmanship, he could've learned engineering or one of the softer sciences... however, with the golems heads twisted off their fleshy bodies, he felt like the science behind this became insignificant....

Hence, every time a golem died from his blade, he couldn't talk about the inertia or the how the laws of thermodynamics contributed to this bloody massacre... He just cut, and Bernie and Alberta appeared to be getting the hang of fighting one golem together...

They had an army of wraiths filling up the empty golem bodies, and... the Lich Soul and his master nodded in approval of his fierce and vigorous technique....

For a sixth month old giant and ugly goblin, it was like watching a prodigious existence visit your humble tower...

However, what interested them wasn't Duncan, at this time, but his flesh worm...

"Hmmm, his flesh worm will became a famous existence…" The Master of the Tower said to his Lich Soul, and Duncan chopped of a flesh golems head squirting blood onto the fleshy golem next to it…

The head then reformed on its body, and Duncan laughed as a series of corpses exploded sending more blood onto the floor...

It felt absolutely delightful...

The joy of being in battle was nice, but it was the experience!

These golems provided 800 experience each, and they formed in lines for him to kill....

To reach level 22 he needed 30,000 experience, and.... his experience bar climbed up as more and more heads flew up into the air....

The Lich Soul and the Master of the Tower gawked at his display of swordsmanship..

"So.... don't you find it odd?" The Lich Soul crossed his arms feeling slightly jealous, and Duncan flipped back in the air as another series of flesh arms passed by his face.

Duncan looked up at the Lich Soul and his master. Hence, he then activated blade shadow and finally death possession as a large explosion tore up the mob of flesh golems around his body…

[Ding! Death possession has mitigated 20,000 damage from the Icarus Venom Bomb, and host has killed 900 / 1000 golems over the last hour…]

He traveled around the room as Bernie and Alberta kept dying to the flesh golems, but Wormy really caught his attention as he fought and dodged and fought…

Bernie and Alberta were out leveled at first, but had reached level 18, and Wormy appeared to be slowly coming out of his chrysalis shell he formed when Duncan looked away…

He then began molting skin, and a bright light began shinning…

However, Duncan kept hearing the chattering of the two powerful ghosts above his head, and… this continued for over 5 hours until he reached level 24…

Lots of bloody, fleshy heads rolled around the golden tiles on the floor, and a little girl merrily walked inside the room with a large scythe in her hands…

She had beautiful golden hair, and her scythe skated past Duncan's neck as he jumped back to defend Wormy from her blade…

"Hmmm… not bad… I'll kill you next level…" The girl laughed and pushed Duncan into a doorway before Wormy appeared by his side in the second level…

The typical challenge in inheritances grounds seemed to follow a pattern… First, they'd test the participants battle prowess… So, Duncan expected a challenge of luck next, but more flesh golems became animated as Duncan realized he ran out of bombs…

"System… how much longer until Wormy completes his transformation?" Duncan kicked the glowing shell lightly, and he felt like that little scythe girl stared at him waiting to attack him again…

Was she some kind of end level challenge?

She'd probably attempt to kill him every level with that sycthe, and… this tower provided so much experience!

Yes! This was great!

Soon, he could catch up to Phoenix…

Well, not really, but…. The time he had left for this challenge before the humans died kept counting down and getting closer to zero as he dodged more waving claws…
