The Evolving Stealth System Chapter 15: Stacked Evolution

"Hmmm, where's that weird skeleton?" The mysterious man gave off a domineering, uncanny feeling, and the lady by Duncan grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back…

"I swore he was here… didn't boss say there was a weird skeleton mining?" His demi-god boss thought he was sensing things, and sure enough the mountain looked different than the man last remembered…

An entrance should be here according to the map, and… his lord's secretary landed right on top of one of his skeletons…

He looked at the map, she looked at the map, and then she kicked the face of that skeleton…

They didn't respect skeletons very much…

In fact, they were like bugs in the netherworld…

Small, little bugs, and humph!

It was about time her boss took her on vacation!

That was another matter, but the skeleton even had the nerve to not die!

The netherworlds were an advanced technological society in certain places, but these skeletons shouldn't be hiding in mountains…

In fact, her boss described this weird nightmare he kept having about a skeleton…

However, a second later, two swords collided as that beautiful secretary, Sova, laid dead on the floor bleeding onto one of his piles of dirt…

As for the cave, the doorway had changed, and there was some kind of weird flickering energy, and phoenix had to stay away from the girl on the floor!

"Phoenix… who do you think is going to win?" Duncan changed his mind rather quickly...

Phoenix fumbled through the ladies pocket and shrugged his shoulders. "Meh ho!" He pointed towards the devil, and sure enough her skill in battle was astounding…

"I think she's going to win too, Phoenix…" Duncan wasn't too worried about her since she just stabbed the man in the shoulder causing a splatter of blood to burst onto the walls…

She then pushing him against the wall, with blood dripping down his shoulders like a painting. So, Duncan felt completely free to start slowly tip toeing away…

After all, he didn't want this lady to get him killed, but the lady seemed to split into three, and… a few of those insignificant, level 5 skeletons began running towards him…

[Ding! Host has encountered 50 royal crane skeletons, level 5…]

[Host must be aware that these royal crane skeletons have a royal bone marrow that can be used in a stacking evolution...]

[A stacking evolution allows host to reach many forms not available in this netherworld layer, and these obscure forms are very necessary for hosts survival...]

"Please explain it to me if you can, system!" It sounded really interesting to Duncan, and he nodded his head realizing there wasn't enough of these skeletons...

[Ding! A stacking evolution is a form that requires two or more blood types to allow for a transformation... Royal crane monarch skeletons can be combined with one other royal bloodline to evolve host into higher power being...!]

"Hmmm, alright! Well then! Phoenix stop robbing her and come here!"

Phoenix made some weird nose, and after that he looked down at the lady named Sova... She was totally ripped apart, and her features were nothing compared to the items on her body.

Demons achieved a human form at various levels according to bloodline traits, but these human forms were a little bit greenish, so he didn't feel as bad stealing from her...

Perhaps you could compare it to sallow skin on a sick sailor...

[Ding! Phoenix used light dagger slash, and dealt 50 damage to one royal crane skeleton!]

[Ding! Wormy has caused 25 damage to three skeletons with new move over venom]

[Ding! Host has found one rare item, a storage ring, however, system comes with storage feature..]

[Ding! Wormy has killed his first victim, the royal crane monarch skeleton for 25 experience!]

[Ding! Wormy has been crushed into a pile of poison…]

A lot was going on in this cave, and Duncan flapped his wings and flew directly into the battle ground of skeletons….

Boom!

Boooom!

He fought the skeletons as the devil lady, and the demon man kept fighting and fighting and it seemed like the lady was going to win…

At this time, two minutes passed and an extremely pissed wormy slithered out and found himself in the heat of battle!

As for Phoenix, it seemed to lose no health, and he realized he hadn't seen his stats in a while!

However, now was not the time to see his or Phoenix's stats, so happily he picked up his very first weapon…

Duncan nodded his head, and saw he only required 50 more experience to level up, but all the skeletons were dead, and phoenix just took the last kill!

He received 25 experience, and then the lady burst into the wall with the man's sword in her hand…

It was pierced through her hand, but his head rolled onto the ground…

With relief, she fell down onto the floor as blood dripped out of her back…

"Little dumb skeleton… please come here, and save me…"

Her eyes fluttered close, and Duncan could only look at the sword in her hand with envy…

Obviously, it was a better idea to save her, so he looked at his ES points with sadness…

"Uhm, what do I have to do to save her, system?"

[Ding! Host is unable to purchase any item capable of saving a devil with 15 ES points…]

"Seriously…" Duncan tried to say that as the lady coughed up blood… He could only look down at the ring on his finger, and hope this herb inside of it worked…

It had a lot of cool items inside of it, and sure enough… it didn't have labels on the items…

First item…

He tried it, nothing.

Tenth item…

Nothing!

Twenty items later…

He put the twenty first item onto her body, and finally her face turned green so he threw the purple flower enchantment herb away into the failure pile…

Finally, he made his way through one hundred items, and after nearly killing her a hundred times, she seemed quite satisfied with her eyes closed…

Unaware if she was alive or dead, he began regretting they had no knowledge of netherworld herbs...
