The Evolving Stealth System Chapter 42: Starlight Elixer

"Yes, system… however, when did you add a chat feature?"

[Ding! Chat feature became added during communication with the command module after host leveled up… Phoenix appears not to have much time though, so connecting host to familiar, Phoenix…]

[Ding! Loading chat window between Duncan and Phoenix…]

Phoenix: Master… it's terrible…

Duncan: What's terrible, Phoenix…

Phoenix: The humans are in a large pot, and… I feel a connection to them as they boil!

Duncan: What! Where are you…

Alberta: Master… this chat feature is really cool!

Bernie: Yes, why are you not here brother Phoenix…

Duncan: Please don't interrupt the chat Bernie, and… I expect three levels for both of you by tonight!

Alberta and Bernie both replied after a minute… "*Sigh*… hurry up back Phoenix!" They went to continue killing various low level skeletons on Duncan's behalf, and Phoenix watched a human girl fall into a hot pot…

Something happened and a starlight elixir appeared a few moments later…

For some reason, he knew his master wouldn't like this, and… luckily the little girl turned green but didn't die at this moment…

So, he smiled and took the elixir because they tasted very good…

His stomach began to hurt once again as energy traveled into his various body parts, but then the water demon imps smiled, and another feast began because of their savior!

So much flesh and blood the appeared on the celebration table…

He could only hope these were not human arms he began eating, and he munched down as Duncan finally replied on his way to the underwater city…

Duncan: Well, Phoenix… I'll be there soon, so… what are they using the humans for?

Phoenix: They boil them, and… they let them out after a near death experience… This emotion is channeled into another pot, and… tons of rare ingredients are used to level me up master!

Duncan didn't know how to answer, and… something felt like it was following him…

Sure enough, it could be either Enna, or the new girl…

However, why did the sky appear to be turning black?

For the entire time he surveyed the lands sky, it wasn't black, more like vomit… Something appeared to be happening now, and then the sky appeared to turn into an active volcano…

As weird as this was, he noticed it erupted far away from him, and he landed to get shelter in a cave…

That seemed to be some sort of terrible storm, and… oh yes, perhaps it was a type of interdimensional string portal which finally led to him messaging Phoenix…

Duncan: Phoenix… try to keep taking those elixers… and… what's the highest level person in your area?

Phoenix: Master… I'm losing connection! Please hurry! They are bringing out a green person… They've never done that before…

Green clearly meant sick, and… wait… were they running out of healthy humans…

He began to calmly analyze his best plan of action because if he didn't he'd be falling his teachers at the academy!

They had many rules… and one saying

One rule was one life is nothing compared to the cosmos!

A million lives are nothing compared to the universe, and you're not listening Duncan!

He didn't mean to remember that part of that day because… him and Nyla had his first date the day before…

They stayed up all night telling stories on the farm before he went back to school… seriously… Phoenix seriously lost connection…

[Ding! The odd occurrence in the sky has interrupted systems long distance communication abilities, and… Host is recommended to warn Enna about the incoming forces…]

"What… system, why would they go after Enna now?"

[Ding! System has run several analysis of recent events, and… It appears that Vernal partially blames Enna for her son dying, so… host still has Bernie and Alberta in the area near the sect…]

"Ugh! But I lost connection…" Duncan appeared to be in a bind, and wait… "Wormy… crawl back to base, and tell Enna to leave the sect…" He pat Wormy on the head as he heard a strange sound in the cave…

It appeared to be a black water vein, and… he chose to go visit Phoenix…

He had a plan in his mind suddenly after a tiny bit of waiting….

One, become a water demon imp…

Two, infiltrate the water palace, and… finally get a chance to visit Phoenix…

Three, it was time to leave this place, and he didn't really have time to develop a more coherent plan…

He grew out his wings and began flying as the sky remained black…

Every few seconds, another spewing of lava would shoot out, and then he kept flying wishing he was faster…

He flew and flew and flew and finally after 800 miles the sky stopped being black…

[Ding! Host has entered into the 5Z zone, and… host is recommended to level up before entering into the Water City…]

"Ugh… Seriously system…"

[Ding! Host must be aware that the city he is approaching is a 10Z zone, and survival will be maximized if host levels up to at least level 25…]

[Plus, losing lives is sometimes necessary for the greater good… so, Phoenix promises to keep you updated on the elixir to human death rate ratio…]

"Fine…" Duncan frustratingly landed in a sea of goblins, and Wormy finally reached base and told Enna…

Duncan found out about this in his chat, and then he began drinking with the goblins…

Since they were trying to get drunk, he waited till after they were drunk…

What was so wrong with this procedure, and… after twenty minutes they had various drinking competitions…

Goblins loved to drink, and they all fell over and lost to Duncan…

Finally, he took the storage ring out of his mouth and a lake of alcohol fell out of it…

[Ding! Host has killed one Gulkana drinking goblin, and has acquired 1000 experience…]

[Ding! Host has killed the entirety of the Gulkana drinking goblin clan…]

[You have leveled up!]

Duncan flew over to the next goblin village, and once again put the storage ring in his mouth…
