The Evolving Stealth System Chapter 32: Reanimate Corpse

[Reanimate Corpse (level 1) allows host to bring back to life up to three different dead beings, not over level 20, and they will then attack on behalf of the host's commands…]

[Reanimate corpse (level 1) also cannot be used on any beings higher than a low-grade monster… Low-grade monsters include skeletons, zombies, goblins, hobgoblins, orcs and anything that has not yet developed an essence core.]

"Wait… you seemed like something was on the line if I learned it…"

Did a system really just give him the silent treatment?

He had no idea, and soon enough he felt a jolt of energy travel down his spine….

Frankly, it was Enna's idea to make a sect, and he needed her to accomplish his mission…

Hence, when the two hobgoblins bashed into the defensive array, Phoenix did what he normally did, and escorted them with Alberta and Bernie to the inn…

These were his two new summon zombies, and Alberta looked like a girl, but he wasn't completely sure of its sex when he first named her…

Now, he was one hundred percent sure he was a guy, and the two hobgoblins pushed a bell as Duncan regretting naming him Alberta…

Well, it could act as a guy's name, right?

He tried to make himself feel better, but oh yes! Enna would be back soon!

"So… how long will you two be staying?"

Many people had been stranded by Enna's rampage, and Duncan felt this sect might be able to get some recruits soon…

However, he noticed one of the hobgoblin's fumbling for money, and he laughed before he gestured 'no need for money!'

Enna had made this sect very rich…

They had piles of flesh and blood to eat, and even 'grum' for hobgoblins…

It happened to be the most disgusting meal he'd ever seen, and sure enough one gigantic sword flew out of the hobgoblin's pocket…

"You shall pay for what you did to Vernal! Die!"

A large blade danced around Duncan before he backflipped and he finally got a chance to use poison breathe!

[Ding! Host has inflicted poison on the two hobgoblins, and system is displaying opponents stats]

The Gorge Mount Hobgoblin seemed to possess quicker attack speed, and the Forest Mount Hobgoblin even took a few hits from Phoenix…

However, Duncan wasn't a pushover, and he caused the two hobgoblin's to regret coming here…

They were specially trained elites, and they had been around the Netherworlds for twenty years!

They'd trained for ten in a famous dojo, yet they couldn't hit Duncan to their surprise because of his higher skill…

It was odd...

These were top end assassins, a silly zombie dodged all their attacks, and Bernie and Alberta slammed into them like they were nothing but common thugs….

Duncan stepped on the head of the hobgoblin, and Wormy then crawled to them and coiled around their bodies…

"So… you want to tell me who sent you?" Duncan played with the tip of his blade as the little hobgoblins tried to escape…

However, then he stabbed them three times, and Enna flew into the room…

"Oh… do we have visitors?" Enna interrupted the goblins from spilling the beans…

"Yup… just a failed assassination attempt…" He stabbed down with his sword one more time, and Enna laughed before dropping a few dead bodies onto the tiled floor…

"Good! I knew I chose a good partner!" Enna smiled and then whistled as she walked out the door… Every so often, she'd leave some partially alive monsters in front of him, and it wasn't time to check the pile…

"Now, what were you two saying?"

"EHHH! WE TOLD YOU! WE CAME BY OURSELVES!"

"YES, STOP STABBING ME WITH THAT HORRIBLE SWORD! IT DOESN'T EVEN WORK!"

"Shut up! I upgraded it!" Duncan stabbed them because of their insolence, and Enna came back into the room and sat down at the table…

"You guys better tell him… He's quite an ugly monster… My favorite ugly monster…"

"Also, I heard you guys from a few miles away, and you realize he's a zombie right!"

The hobgoblins sighed, and nodded their heads…

"We work for the Vernon Assassin's guild, and we received a beginners mission to kill some zombie! We don't have clearance to find out the information… However, if you kill us they'll upgrade your rank!"

"Yes, we'll do anything you want… So, please stop stabbing me!"

Duncan sighed and handed his sword to Phoenix… "Okay, he'll stab you! Now, let me ask you again! Who do you work for!"

[Ding! Phoenix has killed the two hobgoblins, and host has received 3 / 30 strands of hobgoblin blood… However, according to system's analyzer, they appeared to not be lying about the Vernon Assassin's guild…]

"System… you don't understand! I wanted them to work for me!"

"They were supposed to say… ""you"" and I saw it in a movie once on my home planet!"

Enna pat her hand on Duncan's shoulder and smiled at Phoenix continuous stabs…

He took everything his master said seriously, and how dare they try to kill his master!

Phoenix looked at Duncan as he looked at Enna…

Enna then pat Phoenix on the shoulder, and all of his zombies walked out of the room…

"So… what did you find out Enna?" Duncan had been waiting for this news for one week…
