One of the most treasured beliefs of many people upto this century is that all individual has their appointed guardian angel. Some of the people missed death by an inch or in other words they are given another chance to live with the help of a god's messenger.

According to the bible, guardian angels are celestial messengers that move at a speed of light to carry out God's will. Also, they are not just there to guide but also to protect people from any harm.

No one has a concrete evidence about their existence but there are so many uplifting stories that prove that they are true. Believe it or not, I also have an unforgettable story about my encounter with one of them. Therefore, even if it gives me a positive experience, I can't help but to seek answers to all of my lingering questions. I'm still praying that one day, our paths will crossed so I could thank him for his inexhaustibe love for God that gives me a chance to continue living.

"I'm getting crazy about this, Kel. I also have my faith with me pero ang hirap paniwalaan." Ersy commented. We're here in my apartment while she's still looking at the old newspaper. I started reminiscing again what happened before.

I was involved in a car accident. My daddy taught me how to drive and since I am very hard headed I stole the key from his personal driver and drove the car on my own. Akala ko madali lang pero noong sinubukan ko itong iliko, bumangga ang kotse sa isang poste. Sa sobrang lakas ng impact, nabasag ang salamin nito. At 'yon ang isang bagay na labis naming ipinagtataka. I'm alright except from the little wound on my head. Hindi ako sobrang napuruhan. Many of the witnesses thought that I'll die because of the strong impact. Nakita din nila na may kasama akong isang lalaki sa loob ng kotse pero wala naman. I am all alone in that car and from that day, I started believing that I was saved by him--- by my guardian angel.

"Kelsey, let's go. Late na tayo." reklamo ni Ersy. We're living on the same apartment. Both a first year college student. Mabuti na lang at walking distance lang ang aming apartment mula sa university para hindi na hassle mula sa matinding traffic. I was late for two minutes but thank god, our professor wasn't still there.

He just arrived when I'm comfortably sitting in my respective seat. He's my favorite teacher afterall. I mean he always share his miraculous experience ten minutes before his time ends. Yesterday, he talked about his personal encounter with an angel. Great! We both believe on their existence.

After our class, like the usual routine, I look at Ersy in the cafeteria. She texted me that their prof extended 20 minutes so I have to wait for her. I just decided to go the field to see someone.

"Miss, anong ginagawa mo dyan? Tabi!" nataranta ako dahil sa sigaw na iyon. It was too late dahil nakita ko na lang ang arrow sa ere na tatama sa direksyon ko.

"What the hell! Kelsey, tabi dyan!" sigaw ng isa sa mga players ng Archery. Napatakip na lang ako ng mukha ko dahil sa matinding takot. I waited for the arrow to hit me but I was relieved when I heard everybody in silence. Napamulat ako at gulat ang naging reaksyon ko ng makita ko sya. Standing infront of me is Asher--- the famous captain of our university's basketball team.

"Hard headed, human." he exclaimed. He's holding the arrow that almost hit me at hindi ako makapaniwala kung paano nya nagawa iyon. It's the second time that he saved me. The first one is when I was almost hit by the car.

Hindi na ako nakapagthank you matapos ng ginawa nyang iyon. I also heard stories about guardian angels that disguised as human. Was it him? My appointed guardian angel?

"Isa lang ang masasabi ko sa lahat ng naikwento mo, Kelsey. Sobrang imposible." wika ng bestfriend ko. I told her about Asher being my guardian angel.

"At isa pa! Hindi mo kilala ang isang 'yon! Yes, he's very gentlemen pero subukan mong kausapin, sobrang cold ng personality!" dugtong nya pa. I just met Asher now that I am in college but I always heard stories about him. He's the number one topic of my highschool classmates afterall especially Ersy.

"Kalimutan mo na nagkaroon ako ng crush sa kanya. Isang nakakadiring pangyayari!" sagot nya pa bago nagsimulang magligpit ng aming mga pinagkainan.

Tomorrow morning, after our class I decided to go to the gym. Asher was there--- sitting on the bench. I can't help but to praise how manly his looks are. He has a good sense of clothing, sharp featured, and his overall were all well built. All I can say is, he's very handsome from the depth his eyes up to the way he gently utter a word. Wait--- I should stop praising him a lot.

Napalunok ako ng magtama ang paningin naming dalawa. Hindi naman iyon nagtagal at mabilis syang nag iwas ng tingin sa akin. Mabilis akong lumapit dito.

"K-kelsey." itinaas ko ang kamay ko sa ere para makipagkilala sa kanya pero tinapunan lang nya ito ng tingin. Nahihiyang ibinaba ko tuloy ang kamay ko.

"T-thank you nga pala sa ginawa mo. And by the way, I don't want to brag, but I'm one of the famous student in our department. I also join pageants and  I am a very consistent honor------"

I wasn't able to finish what I'm going to say because he left me without saying a word. Ersy was right when she told me about his cold personality.

"Asher, wait!" sigaw ko. Napatingin tuloy sa akin ang mga kateam-mates nya.

"Woah! The famous student of english department. Nililigawan mo Asher?" tanong nya. Nakangiti ko naman silang binati isa isa.

"No." He said coldly before leaving. I don't mean any romantic relationship with him. I just want him to be my friend. That's all.

"Masanay ka na sa ganyang ugali ng kaibigan ko. Pero wag kang mag alala, sobrang gentleman naman nya sa lahat ng babae. Sa katunayan, hindi lang ikaw yung unang babaeng naghabol sa kanya. Yung iba sumuko kasi hindi ata nakayanan yung ugali. A simple thank you from what he did is what he wanted. " his friend explained. I look at Asher for one last time before proceeding to my next class.

"What's going on between you and the famous captain of our basketball team?" Trisha asked. He's talking about my cold guardian angel, Asher. Ibinalik ko na lang yung tingin ko sa laptop ko bago ko sya sinagot.

"Nothing." sagot ko dahil tinatamad ako mag explain. Hindi na ako nasanay sa mabilis na pagkalat ng issues dito sa campus. Ang daming chismosa.

I was on my way to see Ersy when I saw Asher. He's from science department and according to my source, he's interested in computer science.

"Kung hindi lang kita kaibigan iisipin ko na kawawang stalker ka na e." reklamo ng kaibigan ko. Nagmamadaling ipinahawak ko naman sa kanya yung laptop ko bago pumunta sa kinaroroonan ni Asher.

Napahinto naman sya ng humarang ako sa dinadaanan nya.

"You're not an ordinary human right?" I asked. Tamad na tumingin naman sya sa akin bago umalis sa harap ko. I blocked his way for the second time.

"Give me just a minute, please." pakiusap ko. His hand was placed on his pocket while the other is holding the bag that was placed in his broad shoulder. Ang gwapo nya sa tayong iyon.

"Do you remember about the accident? It was you who saved me right? are you an angel?" napailing na lang ito dahil sa sinabi ko.

We're already in the 21st century and I know it's impossible to believe in what I am saying but it's true!

"You don't want to admit it kasi baka may mga  rules kayong sinusunod. But don't worry, your secret is safe with me." kumindat ako sa kanya pero nanatili pa ding walang reaksyon ang mukha nya.

"Stop talking nonsense." he replied before he started walking away.

He's always there whenever danger is just near me. Is it not an enough proof for them believe that he wasn't just a human like us?

I looked at his back while he's walking. He maybe cold but I believe that there's an invisible halo on his head. I'll find everything about him soon.
