His Invisible Halo 6 Chapter 5

Hindi ko makakalimutan kung paano nya ako ipinahiya kanina. It's the very first time that someone did that to me. I don't know kung galit ba sya sa akin o kung ano man ang nagawa ko.

"Stop Kel, okay? Kanina pa ako nahihilo sa pabalik balik mo." hinawakan ni Ersy yung magkabilang balikat ko at pinaupo ako. Nagpapadyak naman ako dahil sa sobrang galit. Sa pagkakataong ito gustong gusto ko ng kalbuhin yung buhok nya. I was so damn wrong when I thought that he was an angel. He was the other way around. There's no invisible halo on his head but a pair of a devil's horn rather.

"Calm down, okay. Maski ako nagtataka kung bakit si Laurene yung pinili nya. I'm very sure that this will be the number one topic again."

Napasigaw ako dahil sa sobrang inis.

"Don't worry. I'll talk with River about what happened."

Hindi ko na pinakinggan pa ang sunod na sasabihin niya at mabilis akong pumasok sa kwarto ko. I immediately get my phone and I was right.

Great! I was involve in an issue again! Hindi naman ito mangyayari kung ako lang sana yung pinili ni Asher kanina. That jerk! Sobrang namumuro na sya sa akin.

'Ms. Cambridge University High School and College 2017, Kelsey Haven Palmer was not chosen to be the basketball team's represantative this school year.'

I read all of the comments and I found it all negative. Maliban na lang siguro doon sa mga stalker ko na naglalagay ng kung ano ano sa locker ko.

'Why do you think Kelsey was not chosen?'

'Someone told me that it's because of her attitude earlier.'

'Laurene is also pretty. She had the spotlight now.'

'Poor, Kelsey.'

Inis na ibinato ko yung cellphone ko sa gilid ng aking kama. Tears started to fall from my cheeks. That jerk Asher ruined everything. Hindi na nga nya ako pinili tapos usap usapan pa ngayon na masama ang ugali ko. Great! He succeeded for making me worst.

Draven:

I will kick his ass only if I was there, Remy.

/I know I deserve that spot, Draven. Laurene has no experience when it comes to being the represantative. Why did he chose her?/

Draven:

Don't think about it. It will only stress you out. Sleep for now, Remy. Goodnight.

Ersy was in the kitchen when I woke up the next morning. Our breakfast was already cooked when I went there. I'm not in my usual mood to go to class today.

"Sorry, Kel. Kung hindi lang kita pinilit na sumali doon hindi sana mangyayari lahat ng 'to." wika nya.

"It's not your fault so don't feel sorry."

It was Asher's fault. Kasalanan nya lahat at magbabayad sya sa ginawa nya!

I just acted that it is just a normal day when I arrived in our campus. Pilit kong ipinagsawalang bahala na lang lahat ng naririnig ko. Mabilis akong nagmartsa papasok ng room habang panay tingin pa din sila sa akin.

"It's too late when I realized that you're beautiful, Laurene. I mean, you're always silent. Can we go out in some other time?" I heard Geo's voice. That's one of the guy I rejected before.

"Laurene, can we be friends?"

"Is something going on between you and Asher?"

"I heard that Asher doesn't like girls with no manners. Is it the reason why he didn't chose Kelsey?"

"Laurene, don't forget about us when you became famous."

"You're too kind, Laurene. And bagay din kayo ni Asher."

I looked at their direction. I should be happy now right? Atleast my life will be peaceful now that they won't keep on throwing me questions again. Bahala na kung ano man ang isipin nila.

I just focused on listening to our lecturer until she divided us into two groups. There will be a debate that will serve as our graded performance for this week.

"Hurry up! Go to your respective groups and choose your leader." our lecturer said. Tumingin naman ang mga kgroupmates ko sa akin. I heard the other groups whispering that our group was lucky because I'm here.

"Let's just choose Kelsey as a leader since she's good in debating on the spot and public speaking." Aira suggested. I was about to agree when someone interrupted.

"Can we choose Laurene this time? I mean, she's always silent and I'm very sure that she had a hidden talent. She will not be the team's represantative for nothing right?"

Nagtama ang paningin naming dalawa.

"Let's have a votation. Who's with me?"

I got 5 votes while Laurene got the remaining 11 votes.

"Kel, okay lang sayo?" Trisha asked again. I just show them that I'm alright and it's not a big deal for me.

"I think Laurene is better."  I exclaimed. My voice almost cracked. I think I really need to change for being an immature 17 years old girl. Sobrang babaw naman ng ganitong bagay para masaktan ako. Siguro nga nasanay na ako noon na ako madalas yung napipili kaya hindi ako marunong tumanggap ng rejections. It's just a different feeling right now knowing how second option feels.

"Leaders come here infront." natigil lang ako sa pag iisip ng magsalita si Ms. Mercado kaya't pumunta na ako sa unahan. She was raising her eyebrows at us kaya napatingin ako sa katabi ko. There were two people beside me.

"Kel, ako yung leader di'ba?" wika ni Laurene. Napahiya ulit ako ng marealize ko ang bagay na iyon.

"S-sorry, Miss. I totally forgot." nahihiya kong sambit at mabilis na bumalik sa upuan ko. Damn it! What did you do Kelsey? Ikaw na mismo ang nagdadala sa sarili mo sa kahihiyan.

Napapikit na lang ako dahil sa mga nangyayari ngayong araw. Nagdecide ako na ayusin muna ang sarili ko at pumunta ng comfort room. Hindi din ako nakatagal doon dahil naririnig ko pa din mula sa ibang mga estudyante yung pangalan ko.

"I felt pity towards Kelsey. Baka mdepress na ang isang 'yon." rinig kong kwentuhan nina Frida at ng mga alipores nya. Ang OA ng bruha.

"Mas nakakaawa ka kasi wala ka na sa tamang pag iisip mo ngayon." napalingon ako sa nagsalita. It was Ersy. Mabilis namang umirap sa harap namin yung grupo nina Frida bago sila umalis.

"I still have 7 minutes before my next class so I check on you. Are you okay, Kel?" tahimik akong tumango dahil sa sinabi nya.

"By the way, River told me that Asher will come to your room to apologize. Cheer up, Kel. You still deserve the spot more than Laurene." she said before waving her hand at me. Bumalik na lang ako sa room para hintayin yung lecturer namin para sa panghuling subject. She's 11 minutes late at mukhang wala na yatang balak pang dumating.

"Omg! Asher is here."

"May dalang bulaklak."

"Is that for me? I'm gonna die."

"He looks like an innocent handsome angel."

Ersy should not did that. Hindi naman nya kailangang pilitin si River para sabihan si Asher na magsorry sa akin. That jerk needs to learn how to appreciate and apologize. Hindi na nga marunong magthank you, magsorry pa kaya?

But then I realized that I still owe him a lot for saving me that's why I'm willing  to forgive him after he apologize in one condition. I want him to explain why didn't he chose me. Ano bang meron kay Laurene na wala sa akin? Another thing, why did he spread rumors that I don't have manners well infact I am so good and nice to him.

Lumabas ako ng room para harapin sya. My classmates are right. Asher was there holding a bouquet of tulips.

I crossed my arms and faced him.

"I will only forgive you if you will explain to me why didn't you chose me to be the team's representative. Hindi mo lang alam kung gaano kasakit sa pakiramdam na umasa. Akala ko ako na yung mapipili pero hindi pala. I really deserve the spot Asher. Alam ng lahat iyon. How could you pick Laurene over me!?" natigilan ang lahat dahil sa pagtaas ng boses ko. It was supposed to be Asher and I's moment pero ang daming chismosa ngayon.

Instead of answering, Asher remained silent. Ang tagal naman mag isip ng dahilan ng lalaking ito. Is he really here to apologize? I want him to know that he can't win my forgiveness if he will remain silent.

Hindi kay---

"Asher, do you like me?" tanong ko. It's not even impossible. Maganda naman ako at sa tingin ko ako yung tipo nyang babae. Ilang beses na nya akong iniligtas, nmeet na nya din yung parents ko at hindi sya nagreklamo. Isn't that an enough basis?

"Assuming mo naman Kelsey!" sigaw ng isa kong kaklase at nagtawanan sila.

Sinamaan ko sila ng tingin. Hindi naman mga kasali pero daig pa ang barbeque kung makisawsaw.

"Nakakatawa 'yon?"

They shut their mouth after what I've said. Ibinalik ko ulit ang tingin ko kay Asher.

"So tell me, Mr. Cold guy, do you have feelings for me that's why you keep on pissing me off? You want my attention, do you?"

Nakusensya naman tuloy ako sa ginawa ko. Ersy told me that Asher doesn't have a dating experience. Baka nahihiya lang sya sa akin.

"What are you talking about?" he coldly said.

"Y-you like me right and you're here to apologize?"

Hindi ko alam kung bakit sya napailing dahil sa sinabi ko.

"I don't like you and I don't have any fault for everything happened."

Pagkatapos nyang sabihin iyon ay may humigit na sa kamay ko papalayo. Rinig ko ang tawanan ng lahat dahil sa pagkapahiya ko. Nang makalayo kami mula sa kanila ay hinarap ako ni Ersy.

"Sorry Kel, I forgot to tell you earlier. Maybe the reason why Asher chose Laurene over you is because he loves her. They are officially dating."
