The group of four walked to a counter, asking the bartender to bring two bottles of foreign wine, one bottle for each side of the set.

The blond understood how to serve others and poured half a glass for Huo Lian, then brought the glass to him.

But no matter how great someone's alcohol tolerance was, they still wouldn't be able to endure Lu Shijin feeding them one full glass after another.

Huo Lian's bottle, meanwhile, still had over half left. He did not care whether he won or lost— making Huo Qi drunk was the real purpose.

“Mr. Huo, you seem a bit drunk, do you still want to continue?” Huo Lian slowly asked.

“I'm not drunk!” Huo Qi shook his head and spoke with a slur, “How much have you fucking drunk, huh? You scared? Drink! Hurry up and drink for me!”

Huo Lian blocked the blond's incoming glass, gesturing to Lu Shijin that it should be enough. Lu Shijin then tried to hold Huo Qi up.

“Husband, it's enough. You've drank too much, we should leave.”

Huo Qi defiantly pushed Lu Shijin away. “I didn't, didn't drink too much! He hasn't apologized to you yet, I, I, I'll have him drink him to death!”

He still dared to say that he wasn't drunk when he was already slurring his words. Lu Shijin stopped caring about what he was saying and dragged Huo Qi towards the exit.

Exiting the bar, Huo Qi had already fainted. It was up to Lu Shijin to get them both into a taxi.

When they arrived at the hotel room, Lu Shijin shoved the drunken Huo Qi onto the bed, then leaned over and whispered his name in Huo Qi's ear twice.

Huo Qi did not even stir.

“Husband, do you love me?” Lu Shijin asked.

Huo Qi did not say a thing.

Lu Shijin asked again, “Then do you love . . . Ruan Siheng?”

Huo Qi thought Lu Shijin was Ruan Siheng, as he hugged him tight in his arms and repeated his words of love for Ruan Siheng over and over again.

Lu Shijin, smelling the strong scent of alcohol on Huo Qi and listening to his “heartfelt confession”, felt disgusted to the point where he wanted to vomit.

He forcefully shrugged off Huo Qi's arm, whispering in his ear like he was hypnotizing him.

“Huo Qi, if you love me, then tell me the combination to the safe, okay? As long as you tell me, I am yours.”

“Safe, password . . .” Huo Qi closed his eyes again, and, out of trust in Ruan Siheng, temporarily lowered his guard and murmured, “The password is 930 . . .”
