After knowing that Lu Shijin was going to Hawaii with Huo Qi, Huo Lian didn't give his approval, nor did he express any disapproval.

But the way he looked at Lu Shijin often made him feel as though he were caught cheating.

However, Lu Shijin had a clear conscience.

If one was not willing to make sacrifices, one wouldn't be able to achieve the desired result, so what was wrong with winning Huo Qi's trust?

Especially when it was just a trip, which didn't even count as a sacrifice.

Lu Shijin arrived at the airport on time. Huo Qi was already waiting there.

They had business class seats, with a separate airport lounge.

There was still an hour before the plane took off. Huo Qi told Lu Shijin to wait in the lounge as he left to make a call.

He went to call Ruan Siheng. Huo Qi told him, “Siheng, I have to fly to Hawaii right now and it will take about a week before I can come back.”

Ruan Siheng lightly replied with, “Got it, I wish you a smooth journey.”

Huo Qi waited for a bit, in hopes that he would hear some words of concern. To his disappointment and annoyance, however, Ruan Siheng didn't say anything.

He spoke deliberately. “Other than for me to have a smooth journey, is there nothing else? There are so many handsome guys in Hawaii, aren't you afraid that I'll be lonely and hook up with someone?”

Ruan Siheng paused. “Huo Qi, we're best friends. If you have someone you like, or you have started dating, I'd feel happy for you.”

Huo Qi asked dryly, “Is that really what you think?”

“Mhm.”

Huo Qi felt his chest constrict.

After doing so much for Ruan Siheng, he was only a “best friend”?

Ruan Siheng . . . oh, Ruan Siheng, just what do I have to do for you to finally understand my feelings?

Or are you already aware? Do you just not want to accept them?

Going back to the lounge, Huo Qi saw Lu Shijin's face, which was very similar to Ruan Siheng's. Upon seeing him and his appearance, Huo Qi felt a strange sense of satisfaction in his heart.

Ruan Siheng didn't love him, but there were many others who did.

Like Lu Shijin, whose love for him was engraved into his bones.

“Why did a phone call take so long?” Lu Shijin grumbled unhappily.

“It was work related. Were you bored waiting alone?” Huo Qi sat down and rubbed Lu Shijin's hand with his palms.

Lu Shijin's attachment to him made Huo Qi momentarily forget the unhappiness that Ruan Siheng had brought him.

Huo Qi asked with a smile, “Are you excited for this trip?”

Lu Shijin widened his eyes and nodded. Huo Qi looked at how emotional he appeared to be and suddenly put his arms around Lu Shijin's shoulders in order to bring him into his embrace.

They were the only ones in the lounge, so even if they did do something intimate, no one would find out.

Just as Lu Shijin stiffened his body, agonizing about whether or not he should push Huo Qi's mouth away, the door to the lounge suddenly opened.

A tall figure walked in. Upon seeing the intimate position Huo Qi and Lu Shijin were in, he coughed to show his presence.

Huo Qi cared a lot about his image, so the moment he heard someone walk in, he let go.

Turning to look, he was very shocked.

“Why are you here?!”

Lu Shijin also wanted to ask this, as the person who entered was none other than Huo Lian!

“Why can't it be me?” Huo Lian smiled without humour, “Hawaii isn't your private property, so why can't I go?”

Huo Qi and Huo Lian still appeared to have an amicable relationship in public, but they had long been fighting against each other in secret.

“Why are you going there?” Huo Qi coldly said, “It's not like you have any business in North America.”

Huo Lian replied, “Who said I'm going on a business trip? Can't I go there to relax?”

Huo Qi snorted and turned away. “Of course you can.”

Huo Lian sat down across from them. Lu Shijin pretended to be curious, as Huo Qi would expect, and tugged on his sleeve, asking quietly, “Who's that? He looks so similar to you.”

Huo Qi lightly replied, “No one, just a boring person.”

With Huo Lian acting like a third wheel beside them, Huo Qi couldn't continue being intimate with Lu Shijin.

Lu Shijin noticed that Huo Lian seemed to glance at him every so often. He was unclear if it was intentional. Lu Shijin was afraid that if he was overly intimate with Huo Qi and angered Huo Lian, it would impact his following plans.

Thankfully, Huo Lian behaved normally until they boarded the plane.

Huo Lian also purchased a business class ticket; his seat was a row behind Huo Qi and Lu Shijin.

Great, Huo Lian could openly observe all of Lu Shijin's actions.

The flight was estimated to be ten hours. When the plane became level, the flight attendants delivered meals.

Huo Qi suddenly wanted to flirt for some reason and told Lu Shijin to feed him his fruits. Lu Shijin could only listen to him.

But there was a cold gaze staring at him the entire time, like a knife was pointing at his back.

Thankfully, not long after the meal, Huo Qi leaned against his seat and fell asleep.

Lu Shijin closed his eyes for a bit, before feeling someone tap his shoulder.

Opening his eyes, he saw Huo Lian standing at his seat looking down at him!

His expression seemed to be teasing, but his eyes were cold.

Lu Shijin felt his heart in his throat, hurriedly looking at Huo Qi, who was sitting in the inner seat. Thankfully, he was deep asleep and didn't notice Huo Lian.

Lu Shijin turned to stare angrily at Huo Lian, signaling,“What are you doing!” with his eyes.

Huo Lian subconsciously curved his lips into a smile. He glanced up, indicating to Lu Shijin to come with him to the washroom.

Lu Shijin was afraid that Huo Lian would wake Huo Qi if he were to argue, so he could only endure his anger and get up to go over with him.

Thankfully, the few other passengers were also asleep and the flight attendants were somewhere else. No one noticed two men going into the same washroom.
