Everything was set and prepared, the guests and the relatives were chattering in a hushed tone whereas the restless groom surrounded by his friends was teased nonstop.

"Guys remember once, Zhang Han came to surprise our boss and they had a fight over something." One of the men standing around the groom said joyously.

"Ya..Man. How could I forget that, while arguing Zhang Han had suddenly kissed her. I almost fell off watching him. Haha..." The other one agreed.

"Oh, Yea. And later on, she had beaten him into a pulp. I thought she's gone battered him to death, sadly she didn't. Tsk!" another one remarked in a dejected tone.

"That was obvious for him to do! but once Zhang Han had even cried for her all night just because a boy took his bride to his home."

"Really? When did that happen I didn't know Zhang Han can cry? That so for a girl!" asked the one who remarked earlier.

"You were not there. We were kids, I think it was back when she was five or six. Holy cow! I must say, the boy was charming. I'm sure if that boy had stayed any longer or even a day then he would have been the groom of today's wedding. C'mon, it's you who is getting married to her, not that guy. So you can't beat me for that." The groom's best friend teased and winked at him when Zhang Han shot him a piercing look as his face darkened.

"Hey! That's not fair, man. Stop threatening," the other men opposed.

" You all will be shocked to know, that boy even bites her but she didn't beat him. Not even a single glare.Hmm...She liked him."

"So what? Have you forgot how many times you were beaten by her in the school, and would always hide behind me to cry." Zhang Han snapped at his childhood friend.

"Fuck you! Don't remind me that, she really scared the shit out of me. And instead of protecting me this traitor beat me in her place, just so she won't get hurt. This guy is a traitor! He's a traitor!"

"Well, she's the tigress, I'm in love with. How dare you assume that I'll help you instead of my girl." Zhang Han smiled and said proudly.

"Not only you, but almost half of the School was in love with her, Okay. You're just lucky bastard that she chose you."

Zhang Han's heart melted as his gaze soften, "That's right! at last, I'm her man, nothing else matters."

"Of Course, you're the winner." his best friend's frown but smiled and felt for happy.

When the door opened and the Bride appeared, Zhang Han turns to see the advancing figure of his gorgeous bride. He felt his heart pounding in his chest. And the handsome groom wondered, he did make through this day. Years ago! the wedding he had promised her once when they were kids.

Fortunately, this time, she didn't leave him. But he didn't know why he felt a little scared. Sometimes it feels too much happiness is a myth and life can't be this perfect and he couldn't gather his joy she always drew him on the edge of pain and joy.

The joy felt oblivious as he was eagerly waiting to make her his forever.

With the sun setting in the horizon of sea line, the sky colored in orange-red rays. The sound of the waves crashing mixed with the wedding music. Conceived a romantic and sentimental ambiance.

With her arm hooked on to her father's, the beautiful bride walked the path filled with rose petals as she also wore that regular sweet smile on her lips. Walking down the aisle, the bride's father hesitated to give his daughter to another man.

Displeased, Zhang Han looked up to see his father-in-law when the old man said, "Zhang Han, promise me you'll always take care of her as you did in the past." The bride felt her eyes sting as her vision blurred out.

Restless, Zhang Han took the hold of her other hand in his before he assured her father, "I promise. I'll. Always." He never thought her father would hesitate to hand over his bride to him that he considered he will snatch her if needed.

" Promise, you won't leave her, ever." her father urged.

"I promise, That won't happen. Never." only then her father hands over his daughter before he kissed her temples and blessed her.

Anxious, Zhang Han squeezed her hands as she came to stood before him.

On the dice, they looked like a match made in heavens.

Perfect! The wedding began.

The wedding ceremony went on as the pair stood before the priest. Exchanging pleasantries and taking the vows before changing the couple rings. First, they were pronounced as husband and wife. Second, the kiss.

Zhang Han peeked on her lips like usually, he did and kissed her forehead lovingly.

After the wedding, the guest started to leave. Boarding the cruise ship, only the couple was left alone on the decorated and isolated Island with a huge villa.

Waving goodbye to her family on the deck from the shore the newly wedded bride's eyes welled up with tears.

She shrieked when suddenly, Zhang Han scooped up his bride and took her inside the villa. She clung on to his neck, burying her head in his nape and stopped crying.

Inside the villa, he left her in the bedroom to freshen up. She showered and dressed into a beautiful red dress kept on the bed then headed in search of Zhang Han.

Behind the villa, near the shores, a bonfire was blazing between a candlelight table filled with the mouth-watering dishes and a decorated bed beneath the open sky.

Her eyes widen with shock as she gasped and covered her mouth mostly with surprise.

"Zhang Han..." She rustled.

"Yes, my love." Zhang Han turned and smiled softly.

She shook head in disbelief and ran straight into his arms.

Stunned by her emotions, Zhang Han hugged her and tighten his grip around her. He rubbed her back and let her cry like a baby. Even though, He couldn't understand why is she crying so much?

He peeked on her lips in a coaxing manner and only then she smiled. Then he led her towards the table, pulled out the chair before placing a kiss on the top of the head. They had dinner while the romantic and mild music played in the background.

Resting in Zhang Han's arms as he showered kisses on her neck and cheeks. She asked in a heavy voice, "Zhang Han?"

"Hm?" he hummed in response, as she asked. "What would you do if I die? " instantly his body became stiff, as he paused. "You know it, Mei Xing. I'll die without you," he replied without hesitating.

Hearing his reply her hopes crashed into pieces as she asked numbly. "If I leave you someday?"

A panic flashes across Zhang Han's eyes, he turned her to face him and persuaded her, "Mei-Xing, you can not leave me now. We are married." he hugged her tightly but his heart ached. " And if you try, I'll lock you in my room. Forever. You heard me? " he murmured, more like repeating to himself and warning her.

"Zhang Han, but..." she froze in the middle when he cupped her jaw, leaned down and covered her mouth. She gulps down the words.

'But... she already left you forever!'

Mei Lein wished she had the courage to tell him the truth but she dared not nor she wants him to know the truth.

Mei Lein was in love with Zhang Han but he never responded to her feelings. Although she knows aside from their appearance, she and Mei Xing were the two sides of the same coin. Same in color and value but with a different aspect.

Mei Xing had her own charm that made her look more elegant and attractive between the two of them so does Mei Lein. But when one was loved by everyone and had the life the other one wished for, jealousy was bound to follow. And Mei Lein wasn't an angel or saint not to feel any envy or jealousy.

Therefore, Mei Lein had an urge to beat Mei Xing in everything. whether it is to be famous and get recognition or been loved. Mei Lein wanted everything for herself and look she got what she desired but the woman Mei Lein wanted to brag in front off is no longer there. Mei Xing!

And Mei Lein doesn't why but somewhere deep inside, her heart ached to lose that person.

Mei Lein leaned forward, opening her mouth to receive his kiss. She passionately kissed him. Zhang Han frown when their tongues touched and brushed, she felt tasteless but then he smiled when their kiss deepens and tongues entangled he savored the same lusciousness of her lips which felt like heavenly rosewater mixed and the stench of too many peppermints, and he deepened their kiss for more. She always tastes a little different every time they kissed. He continued nibbling and tugging her lips and like usual his hands roamed around her body touching and caressing her. By the end of their kiss, they were breathless and a huge mess.

He carried her onto the big soft bed covered with curtains. Nuzzling and kissing her neck as his hands moved frantically craving to touch her skin. The rustling of their clothes made him pulled up. By this time, he was completely lost to his cravings and manly desires. Mei Lein smiled, caressing his face. His lustful face looked more handsome as her dark eyes shone with the same compassion. Asking her consent as she nodded. He removed her dress easily before undressing himself. Touching her bare skin he couldn't resist any longer as they made love near the seashores, under the wide sky studded with endless stars with the bonfire made the crackling sound and waves crashed in the distance.

Versailles Manor:

At Dawn, Li Na woke up inside a lavish bedroom her head hurts. She turns to grab a glass of water when she saw a nurse sleeping on the chair with a book in her hands. Silently, Li Na pulled the sheets over her body as she tried to set her footing on the floor but fell. Flustered by a thud, the nurse woke up and helped her to stand.

The nurse helped her to walk to the bathroom after which she helped her prepare a hot bath. After a month of numbness, it was painful and torturing to walk with weak leg muscles.

Li Na soaked herself in warm water, taking deep breaths as she relaxed her mind and body.

It looked more difficult not only to adopt the mindset but also to foster this body. Stressing too deep or thinking hard and remembering past makes her brain collapsed easily. It happened thrice till now as she realized one thing clearly, she needs to train her body and disciplined her mind.

It doesn't matter, how it was damaged in the past, the point is to reconstruct again. To be strong mentally and physically, because there's no way she can survive with a weak brain and addicted body.

Importantly, She had to overcome her drug addiction.

After the bath, Li Na wore a dress in a peach-colored line skirt with a plain and simple white blouse. As her ash brown hairs tied up in a clean ponytail. She looked fresh and radiant.

Standing in front of a full-length mirror, she observed the new avatar of herself. Between Li Na and Mei-Xing, she found only one similarity in appearance. Their dark brown eyes. Even she and her twin sister, Mei Lein had a different shade of eyes. But it exactly matches with Li Na under any set of lights.

After a while, Lu Jianjun's car entered the gates. Rolling in front of the entrance door, a chauffeur pulled out the door for him as he stepped out and stride towards his bedroom floor.
