Cho Jigen no Maou Vol 6 Chapter 1

The Bookkeeper shook her head gently and said, "I'm afraid you can't simply erase evil, Saneko. If you were to do so, the stories of the lower layers would have no villains, no conflict, and no resolution. They would be incomplete, meaningless.

Saneko looked at The Bookkeeper with a stern expression. "To me, the lower layers are not just stories, they are real. And in those layers, evil exists and causes real harm to real beings."

The Bookkeeper sighed, "I understand your perspective, Saneko, but there are consequences to removing evil from the lower layers. Without villains, there can be no heroes. Without darkness, there can be no light. The stories of the lower layers will lose their depth and meaning. Even if you view them as real, my point still stands."

Saneko laughs and responds to The Bookkeeper, "Oh, how naive you are. This layer, just like all the others, is also a story from a higher perspective. A story that will soon come to an end."

The Bookkeeper shook her head and said firmly, "No, Saneko. This library we stand in trumps all of the other layers. There is nothing above it. It is the pinnacle of existence." She paused, then continued, "And in this library, stories are kept, preserved, and remembered. Every story, no matter how insignificant, has a purpose and a place here. To erase evil is to erase an integral part of those stories. It is not for us to judge which stories should or should not have villains."

Pikku stepped forward and spoke up, "Excuse me, but I think you're too focused on the stories. What about the people who suffer because of the evil in the lower layers?"

The Bookkeeper turns to Pikku and says, "The lower layers may seem real to you, but to me they are just stories. They are fictional worlds created by the imagination of those who exist in higher layers. It doesn't matter what happens in those worlds because they are not real to me."

Saneko interrupts, her voice filled with anger, "How can you say that? Just because something isn't real to you, it doesn't mean it's not real to someone else. Those worlds are filled with living beings, who feel pain, who experience joy, who love and hate, just like we do."

The Bookkeeper responds calmly, "I understand that you may see things differently, but that doesn't change the fact that this library is the only reality that matters. Evil is a necessary part of the human experience. It is what makes us appreciate the good, what gives us the opportunity to grow, to learn, to become better.

Saneko laughed, her body glowing with an intense aura. She shook her head and said, "You're wrong, Bookkeeper. The layers don't need evil to exist. They can exist without it, and they can be even better.

The Bookkeeper shook her head. "I cannot allow you to do this."

The Bookkeeper stretched out her hand towards Saneko, and a bright light emanated from her palm. Saneko, glowing with an aura of power, stood her ground, ready to defend her cause. But as The Bookkeeper's hand touched her, Saneko's was sealed away.

Pikku watched in horror as Saneko disappeared, leaving behind only a faint trail of light. She turned to The Bookkeeper, who was looking at the empty space where Saneko had been moments before. Pikku felt a sense of dread and fear, wondering what would happen next.

The Bookkeeper let out a deep sigh and turned towards Pikku. "I'm sorry you had to witness that," she said. "But Saneko's actions were dangerous, and I had to take action to protect the balance of the Hyper-World."

The Bookkeeper looked at Pikku with a stern expression and said, "Saneko was not who you thought she was. She was the villain all along, trying to erase the concept of evil from the Hyper-World." Pikku's eyes widened in shock and disbelief. "No," she said. "Saneko was my friend. She was trying to do the right thing."

The Bookkeeper shook her head. "You've been brainwashed. Saneko was willing to destroy everything, including the balance of the stories to achieve her goals."

Pikku's eyes welled up with tears as she looked up at The Bookkeeper. "It's not true," she said, her voice shaking. "Saneko wasn't a villain. She was my friend."

The Bookkeeper looked at Pikku with a gentle yet stern expression. "I understand that this is difficult for you, but you have to accept that Saneko was the villain all along."

Pikku's tears continued to stream down her face as she shook her head. "No, I don't believe it. Saneko was always trying to protect me and do what was right."

As The Bookkeeper was about to respond to Pikku's distress, she suddenly heard a loud shattering noise coming from behind her. She turned around to see that the walls of the library were cracking and shattering, revealing a blinding light beyond. The Bookkeeper gasped and shielded her eyes as the light grew brighter and brighter.

Pikku, still sobbing, looked up at The Bookkeeper with fear in her eyes. "What's happening?" she asked.

"I don't know," The Bookkeeper replied, trying to keep her composure. "Something... something has gone terribly wrong."

As the light grew even brighter, The Bookkeeper felt a wave of panic wash over her. This was not something she had ever encountered before, not even in her vast knowledge of the Hyper-World. Whatever was happening, it was beyond her control.

Just as the light seemed like it was about to consume everything, it suddenly dissipated, leaving behind a figure standing in the center of the shattered library. It was Saneko, but she was different - her eyes glowed with an intense power, and her aura was brighter than ever before.

"SANEKO!" Pikku shouted, happy Saneko was alive.

The Bookkeeper felt a surge of fear and anger wash over her. She had sealed Saneko away, but it seemed like her efforts had been in vain. "What have you done?" she demanded, her voice shaking with anger.

Saneko's laughter cut her off. "You and your limited perspective... you have no idea what's truly possible. But that doesn't matter now. I have returned, and I will complete what I started."

The Bookkeeper bristled with anger. "And what is that?"

Saneko's eyes narrowed. "To rid the Hyper-World of evil, once and for all."
