Cho Jigen no Maou Vol 1 Chapter 1

Saneko Sarakana stepped out of the train that had taken her to the magic school in the city of Echosia. Saneko had always been a shy girl. She preferred to keep to herself and had never really felt like she belonged anywhere. But when she heard about the magic school in the city of Echosia, she felt a glimmer of hope. Perhaps there was a place for her in the world after all.

As soon as she arrived at the school, Saneko felt out of place. The other students seemed so confident and sure of themselves, while she struggled to even make eye contact with them. But she was determined to learn magic, to become a powerful mage like the ones she had read about in books.

The classroom was filled with eager students, all leaning forward in their seats, waiting for their teacher to begin the lesson. Saneko Sarakana sat at the back of the class, feeling both nervous and excited. She had always been fascinated by magic, and she couldn't wait to learn more about how it worked.

The teacher, a stern-looking man, cleared his throat and began to speak. "Good morning, class," he said. "Today, we will be discussing the art of spellcrafting. Spells are the foundation of magic, and understanding how they work is essential to becoming a skilled mage."

He went on to explain the basics of spellcrafting, talking about the different components that went into making a spell. "First, you need to have a clear intention," he said. "What is it that you want the spell to do? Once you have that in mind, you can start to gather the other elements."

The teacher then explained that a spell needed four things: intent, energy, a focus, and an incantation. He went into great detail about each of these components, describing how they worked and what their purpose was.

"For example," he said, "let's say you want to create a spell to protect yourself from harm. Your intention is to create a shield around yourself. You'll need to gather energy from the world around you, focusing it into a specific point. Then, you'll need to create a physical focus, like a wand or a crystal, to direct that energy. Finally, you'll need to speak the incantation, the words that will activate the spell. You can also create spells for offensive magic." The teacher then said a phrase that seemed unintelligible and suddenly a ball of fire materialized in the palm of his hand. "Just like that." The teacher said with pride.

Saneko listened intently, taking notes in her notebook. She could feel her excitement building as the teacher continued to explain the intricacies of spellcrafting. This was exactly what she had been hoping for when she enrolled in the magic school.

"In this world, there a very evil people that wish to harness the spiritual power of the world. That is why these powers are important, so please pay attnetion during the lessons." The teacher said with a serious expression. Saneko knew about the powerful forces of evil in the world, but they never really bothered her too much. She always assumed someone else would take care of it, but now she realized she had to grow in power to fend for herself.

As the lesson drew to a close, the teacher gave the class an assignment. They were to create a simple spell, using the principles they had just learned. Saneko felt a thrill of nervous excitement as she left the classroom, eager to try her hand at spellcrafting for the first time. She couldn't wait to see what kind of magic she would be able to create.

Saneko headed to the courtyard and tried to focus her energy on a magic spell. She tried for around two hours, but no matter how hard she tried she couldn't conjure any magic at all. Saneko tried to do this for many days, but each day she failed to produce any magic. After the 5th week of trying, Saneko fell to the ground, feeling defeated.

The teacher from earlier had noticed Saneko struggling for a while and approached her, asking if she could try again in front of him to see if he could assess what she was doing wrong, but when Saneko tried again, the teacher was surprised that she did everything perfectly. The teacher then looked at Saneko's stats using an ability known as Quantum View.

Skill = 0

Magic = 0

Defence = 0

The teacher couldn't believe that, in this world of magic users, Saneko had absolutely zero magic abilities. Saneko seeing this broke down in tears. Her dreams could not be achieved no matter how hard she tried. The teacher tried to console her, but she left the school's campus and caught a train back to her house.

Saneko sat quietly on the train, lost in thought. She couldn't believe that she had absolutely no magical abilities, despite the entire world being powered by magic. As the train rattled along the tracks, she gazed out the window, watching the scenery pass by in a blur.

Suddenly, the ground began to shake. Saneko grabbed onto the armrests of her seat, her heart pounding with fear. At first, Saneko thought it was just an earthquake, but then she saw the sky split open above them, and a swirling vortex of darkness appeared. People around her started screaming and panicking, and Saneko felt her own heart racing in fear.

The portal seemed to grow larger and larger, swallowing up buildings and streets, until finally, the train was consumed as well. Saneko felt herself being pulled into the vortex, and then everything went dark.

When she opened her eyes again, she was in a completely different world. It was dark and gloomy, with twisted trees and strange, otherworldly creatures lurking in the shadows. Saneko stumbled to her feet, trying to make sense of what was happening. As she looked around, she realized that other survivors from the train were there with her. They all seemed just as scared and confused as she was. They huddled together, trying to make a plan, when suddenly they heard a bone-chilling screech from the darkness.

Monstrous creatures emerged from the shadows, their eyes glowing with a malevolent light. They lunged towards the group, and Saneko felt her heart race with terror. The creatures started devouring the people, and Saneko was stunned with horror. As the creatures turned to Saneko, they stopped as if they were paralyzed. After a few seconds, they turned and ran away.

Saneko stood frozen in terror as the otherworldly monsters left the mangled corpses of the others around her. But then, a demonic creature appeared before her, its body looking like it was made of the swirling colors of the universe itself. It had long black horns that twisted and curved like a labyrinth, and its eyes glowed with an eerie light. Saneko screamed in terror, trying to back away from the demon.

"Please leave me alone." Saneko cried. The demon started to speak back in an otherwordly language, and it seemed as if it was afraid of Saneko. Saneko didn't know what to make of all this. She was still scared, still unsure of what was happening. The demonic creature looked intently at Saneko and raised a hand, uttering a strange incantation. In an instant, Saneko was engulfed in a bright light, and then everything went black. Saneko started crying in fear.

When Saneko opened her eyes, she found herself standing in the middle of a vast chamber filled with demons. Seeing this she fell down in shock. At first, the demons seemed hostile, their eyes glowing with an ominous red light. But then, to her surprise, they all began to bow down before her, as if she were some kind of queen. After noticing the demons had backed off, Saneko calmed herself and got back up.

Saneko looked around the chamber, her eyes widening in awe. It was a magnificent space, filled with towering pillars and intricate carvings. And at the far end of the chamber, she saw a staircase leading up to a throne. She hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do next. But then the demon gestured for her to ascend the stairs, and she found herself drawn towards the throne.

As she climbed the steps, she felt a sense of unease wash over her. This was all happening so fast, and she still didn't understand what was going on. But something in the back of her mind told her that this was where she was meant to be, that this was her destiny. When she reached the top of the staircase, she saw that the throne was empty, waiting for her. She hesitated for just a moment, but then she sat down.

Instantly she felt a surge of power, as her hair turned red, and she grew long red horns. Even her eyes started to glow with a bright red aura. Her attitude also changed, she felt cocky and powerful, and suddenly the language of demons became clear to her.

"The prophesy of the Demon King returning has been fufilled" they all shouted "The Demon king will destroy all who appose." Saneko bowed her head with an evil smile and started laughing maniacally. She stood up as all the demons bowed to her and yelled "I am Saneko Sarakana, the Demon king!" She then snapped her fingers, returning herself to the human world.
