Cho Jigen no Maou Vol 4 Chapter 1

Saneko and Pikku looked around the new area, taking in the scenery. The ground beneath them was a dark, swirling abyss, while the sky above them was a deep, rich purple color. The air was thick and heavy, and a strange, pulsating energy seemed to permeate the atmosphere.

Saneko and Pikku seemed as if they were floating in the air above the abyss. Out of reflex, Pikku held on to Saneko, scared she would fall.

Saneko turned to Pikku and asked, "How are you able to see everything so clearly? Your mind isn't of this dimension, and you couldn't see those beings earlier."

Pikku looked at Saneko, her eyes wide. "I don't know," she said. "Ever since we entered the cathedral, I've been able to see everything perfectly. It's like my mind has been opened up to a new level of perception."

Saneko nodded, a thoughtful expression on her face. "Interesting," she said. "I wonder if it has to do with the cathedral itself.

Saneko gazed down at the swirling abyss beneath them. The darkness seemed to go on forever, and even she couldn't see the bottom. She turned to Pikku and said, "We need to go down there."

Pikku's eyes widened in fear. "B-but how? There's no way we can survive that fall!"

Saneko simply smiled and stomped at the ground, shattering the barrier that were keeping them above the abyss. Pikku screamed as they plummeted towards the bottomless pit.

Saneko quickly caught Pikku and floated down through the abyss.

Pikku clung tightly to Saneko, her heart racing from the sudden fall and the dizzying flight. "How...how are we flying?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Saneko gave a small smile. "It's just one of my many abilities," she replied.

While flying for a while, Saneko realized that the swirling abyss below them was actually a singularity - a point of infinite density and gravitational force that would eventually turn into a black hole. She knew that she could survive the black hole, but she was worried about Pikku's safety.

In that moment, Saneko's eyes glowed brightly, and a powerful flash of light illuminated in Saneko's eyes and in an instant, the singularity was destroyed.

Pikku looked at Saneko in awe, "What just happened? How did you do that? Can you destroy anything with just your presence?"

Saneko smiled at Pikku's amazement, "I guess you could say that. I realized that the abyss we were falling into was actually a singularity, a point where the laws of physics break down and no light can escape. If we had kept descending, you would have been ripped apart by the gravitational force."

Pikku was astounded, "A singularity? A black hole? That's incredible!"

As Saneko and Pikku traverse the newly-formed world created by the destruction of the abyss, Saneko begins to feel a sense of unease. She realizes that they have been hopping from one world to another at random, with no clear direction or purpose.

"This isn't getting us anywhere," Saneko mutters to herself, frustration evident in her voice. "We need to find the source of the malicious intent in this realm, and fast."

Pikku nods, looking worried. "But how do we know where to look?" she asks.

Saneko closes her eyes and focuses her mind, trying to sense the nearest point of malicious intent. After a moment, she opens her eyes and nods to herself.

"I've got it," she says, and gestures for Pikku to follow her. With a burst of magical energy, they teleport away to the location that Saneko has sensed.

But when they arrive, they find themselves standing before a towering statue that seems to stretch up into the sky. Its stone features are twisted into a menacing scowl.

Saneko frowns. "This wasn't what I was expecting," she says, her voice laced with confusion. "What is this thing?"

Pikku looks up at the statue, her eyes wide with fear. "I don't know," she whispers.

As Saneko touched the statue, she could feel the energy flowing through it. She closed her eyes and focused, and soon she sensed that the statue was creating pocket dimensions that would continue to generate endlessly. Pikku started to ask if Saneko knew what it was, but before she could finish her sentence, Saneko burst through the wall with a beam of energy.

The two girls found themselves back in the cathedral. Saneko turned to Pikku and said, "That statue was creating pocket dimensions we were trapped in. It was an incredibly dangerous artifact."

Pikku's voice trembled as she asked, "What about the people inside? That man who shot at me was in one of the realms, so others should have been there too."

Saneko quickly pulled up her magic meter and studied the readings. The amount of evil magic users was relatively the same as before, but she sensed that malicious intent was all around them. "Something's not right," she muttered, frowning at the readings.

Pikku looked up at her, concern etched on her face. "What do you mean, Saneko?"

Saneko sighed, lowering her magic meter. "It means that those people have escaped and are now projecting themselves spiritually to attack us."

Pikku gasped, her eyes widening. "What? But how can they do that?"

Saneko shook her head. "It's complicated. Let's just say that they've found a way to use their magic to project themselves into other dimensions. We need to be on our guard."

Saneko looked at Pikku and said, "Not only the evil magic users, but even Xalanthor and the Lord of Heavens are projecting themselves. They're not physically here." Pikku's eyes widened in surprise. "How is that possible?" she asked.

Saneko replied, "When someone has strong magical power, they can project their consciousness into other layers of reality, and interact with them as if they were physically present. It's a very advanced technique, but it seems like the Lord of Heavens and his army have mastered it."

Pikku looked down at the ground, looking defeated.

Saneko looks at Pikku with a reassuring smile and says, "Don't worry, we haven't hit a dead end yet."

Pikku nods, still feeling a bit anxious. "But how can we get rid of these projections? Won't they just keep coming back?"

Saneko pulls up her magic meter and studies it carefully. "I don't think so. It looks like these projections are being created by a group of magic users that are located in this layer. If we can find and defeat them, the projections should disappear."

Pikku nods again, but then asks, "But what about Xalanthor and the Lord of Heaven's? You said they were also projecting themselves."

Saneko nods. "Yes, but they're not in this layer. They're projecting themselves from a higher dimension, so we don't need to worry about them for now."

Pikku looks relieved, but then asks, "So how do we find these evil magic users? And how do we defeat them?"

Saneko laughs and simply erases the projections with ease, causing them to disappear instantly. Pikku gasps in amazement, "You could have just done that from the beginning!" Saneko responds calmly, "I didn't know they were using projections until now."

Pikku nods, understanding Saneko's reasoning. "I see," she says, "So now that we've eradicated the projections, this layer should be safe, right?"

Saneko looked at her magic meter and saw that it had gone down to just 5%. The layer still had a little bit of danger left in it, but Saneko knew they could handle it. "Pikku, we can just teleport to the remaining percentage," she said, grabbing Pikku's hand.

Pikku nodded and Saneko closed her eyes, focusing her magic on the remaining danger in the layer. With a burst of energy, they were suddenly transported to the remaining evil of the second layer.
