Cho Jigen no Maou Vol 3 Chapter 3

Pikku turned to Saneko, worry etched on her face. "Can't you just detect the evil and teleport us out of here, like you always do?" she asked.

Saneko looked at her friend while smiling. "I can sense the malicious intent heading our way as we speak."

Pikku's eyes widened with fear. "How long have you known about this?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Saneko looked away for a moment before turning back to her friend. "I've been sensing it for a while now, but I didn't want to worry you. I've been waiting for it to arrive so that I can deal with it."

Pikku nodded slowly, still looking worried. "What should we do now?"

Saneko looked at Pikku with a reassuring smile and gently placed a hand on her shoulder. "Relax, Pikku," she said calmly. "We've been through this before. You should know by now that it doesn't matter who faces us, I will always come out victorious."

Pikku nodded, but her unease still lingered. She knew that Saneko was confident in her abilities, but the thought of facing more danger made her anxious.

Saneko turned to face Pikku and said, "If you're so worried, why don't you just leave?"

Pikku's expression turned to one of surprise, "Leave? No way! I'm not leaving you alone!"

"Then have some confidence in my power." Saneko said with a monotone voice.

Pikku hung her head as if she had disappointed Saneko.

Saneko and Pikku walked over to a nearby bench, and Saneko took a seat. She gazed off into the distance, her eyes focused on a point that only she could see.

Saneko leaned back against the bench and closed her eyes, focusing her senses on the area around them. She remained still, her body relaxed, but her mind alert and ready for any threat.

Minutes passed in silence, and Pikku grew more and more anxious. Just as she was about to speak up, a group of figures appeared on the horizon, moving towards them with purpose.

Saneko senses that the approaching figures are hybrids of humanoid type creatures. As they draw closer, Pikku can only see blurry shapes in the distance and starts to panic. "What are they?!" she frantically asks Saneko.

Saneko takes a deep breath and replies, "Pikku, you have to understand that higher dimensional realms like this layer have beings beyond comprehension to lower dimensional beings. I cannot explain their appearance to you because your mind could never understand them."

Saneko stood up and narrowed her eyes, scanning the area for any signs of the true source of the malicious intent. As she focused her senses, she realized that the beings they had encountered were just pawns, mere tools in the hands of a more powerful force.

Turning to Pikku, Saneko said, "These creatures are not the true source of the danger I am sensing. They are being controlled by something much stronger and more sinister."

Pikku nodded, her expression tense with worry. "What do we do now?" she asked.

"We just need to wait" Saneko said in a reassuring tone.

Pikku looks around nervously, her eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger. "But Saneko, they're getting closer! What do we do?" she asks, her voice shaking.

Saneko closes her eyes. "Just stay calm," she says.

As the beings approached, Saneko stood her ground while Pikku frantically clung to her arm. Suddenly, the beings vanished without a trace.

Pikku's looked back up, eyes widened in shock. "What? But they were right there! How could they just disappear like that?"

Saneko looked down at Pikku with a smirk and said, "They were so weak, I simply thought them out of existence. Their magic value was only around 20,000."

Pikku stares at Saneko in disbelief as she hears that the magic value of 20,000 was so little. "That's... that's so little to you?" she asks, her voice tinged with shock.

Saneko looked at Pikku and shook her head. "Well of course it is. The enemies we've faced before had magic values in the millions."

Pikku's eyes widened in shock. "Millions? That's...that's unfathomable."

Saneko took a deep breath and closed her eyes. "To be honest, Pikku, magic value is kind of an irrelevant concept to me," she said, completely relaxed.

Pikku looked at Saneko, bewildered. "What do you mean, Saneko? How can it be irrelevant? Isn't it the measure of one's magical abilities?" she asked, her voice laced with confusion.

Saneko looks at Pikku and says, "Magic Value is just a number. The Demon King isn't concerned with numerical concepts no matter how possible or impossible of a number it is."

Pikku looks at Saneko with a confused expression, "What do you mean? How is Magic Value not important?"

Saneko smiles. "Think about it, Pikku. Have you ever seen me use Magic Value as a way to measure my power?"

Pikku shakes her head, "No, I haven't."

"Exactly," Saneko responds. "Magic Value is just a measurement created by lower dimensional beings to try and understand higher dimensional beings. To the Demon King, Magic Value and numbers as a whole are irrelevant concepts. It doesn't really matter how much Magic Value a being has, what matters is the fact that I will defeat them anyway."

In a dark room far away, all was silent. In the center of the room was a large screen, displaying the image of Saneko and Pikku. The person controlling the beings from earlier stood in front of the screen, watching intently.

He clenched his fists in anger as Saneko effortlessly destroyed his army.

"How is this possible?" he muttered to himself. "She seems to be coming up with new abilities every day."

He tapped his fingers on the console in front of him, deep in thought. He knew he had to come up with a new plan, a way to defeat Saneko once and for all. But how?

Suddenly, his attention was drawn back to the screen as he saw Saneko stop and turn her head slightly. He could feel her power, even from this distance. It was unlike anything he had ever felt before.

He focused his magic on her, trying to sense her thoughts and intentions. He wanted to know what she was planning next, how he could anticipate her moves.

But as he probed deeper, he could sense a dangerous energy emanating from her. It was as if she knew she was being watched, and was deliberately sending out a warning.

Suddenly, a light flickered in the corner of the room, revealing a figure standing there. It was the Lord of Heavens, the man who had killed the former Demon King.

The Lord of Heavens growled in frustration as he watched the man on the screen simply observing. "Stop wasting time and use your mind control ability to harness her," he barked at the man.

The man looked back at the screen and focused on Saneko, trying to use his power to bend her will to his. But as he concentrated, he felt a strange resistance, as if Saneko's mind was impenetrable.

"I... I can't do it," the man stammered, sweat beading on his forehead. "Her mind is too strong. It  seems as if she's immune to mind-altering abilities."

The Lord of Heavens sighed heavily. "Very well. I will have to resort to more drastic measures then. I will kill her as I did the former Demon King."

He thought he had destroyed the Demon King's legacy years ago, but it seemed that Saneko was proving to be a formidable obstacle.

The Lord of Heavens raised his hand, and a surge of power emanated from him, causing the space around him to warp and twist. Suddenly, he destroyed half of the second layer of the Hyper-World, sending shockwaves through the fabric of space-time.

The destruction was a warning to Saneko, a message that she should not underestimate the power of her enemies. The Lord of Heavens' abilities defied logic and reality, allowing him to shape the world according to his own perspective.

The Hyper-World was an infinitely-sized plane, but the Lord of Heavens' perspective was absolute. The destruction caused by the Lord of Heavens was a testament to his immense power and the lengths he was willing to go to in order to defeat Saneko.

However, as he finishes his display of power, the world repairs itself instantly, leaving the Lord of Heavens confused and bewildered. Suddenly, he hears a voice in his head, and he realizes that it is Saneko using telepathy. "I am coming after you" Saneko said. This caused the Lord of Heavens to let out an evil laugh.

The Lord of Heavens turned his attention to the man in the room and spoke in a commanding voice, "Gather our strongest warriors, I sense that we are dealing with an opponent beyond our expectations. This is not a mere skirmish, this is a battle of cosmic proportions. Failure is not an option. Go now, and do not return until you have assembled a force capable of defeating this adversary."

The man quickly left the room to carry out the Lord's orders, feeling the weight of his responsibility on his shoulders. The Lord of Heavens laughed once again, confident in his army.
