Cho Jigen no Maou Vol 2 Chapter 2

Pikku looked out at the endless expanse of the Hyper-World as they traveled from one city to the next. She turned to Saneko and asked, "Saneko, why are we just wandering around aimlessly? Is there a reason for it?"

Saneko looked at her with a small smile and said, "The Hyper-World is divided into layers, Pikku. I need to make sure that all the evil is removed from the first layer before we move on to the next." The previous Demon King must have known a lot about the Hyper-World for Saneko to know that.

Pikku nodded in understanding. "And why is that so important?" she asked.

Saneko's expression grew serious. "Because the humans in their world are in danger as long as the evil remains in the Hyper-World. The barrier between our worlds is not impenetrable, and the evil can seep through and cause chaos and destruction. Evil magic users have been destroying parts of the human world for ages."

As they talked, a beast suddenly appeared and launched itself at them. Saneko calmly flicked her finger at the beast's head, and it exploded in a burst of energy. Pikku gasped in shock, taken aback by Saneko's reflexes.

Saneko turned to her and said, "There are many dangers in the Hyper-World, Pikku. But I will make sure that all the evil is eradicated from this layer."

Pikku nodded, still in awe of Saneko's abilities. "I understand now, Saneko. Going around the Hyper-World is just what you need to do."

Saneko smiled at her. "That's right, Pikku. Now, let's keep moving forward."

After a while, Saneko and Pikku found themselves wandering through a desert of the Hyper-World when Pikku noticed a man who appeared to be dying. She tugged on Saneko's sleeve, pointing to him.

"Saneko, please, we have to help him," she said urgently. Saneko rolled her eyes and started to walk past, but Pikku persisted. "Please, Saneko, we can't just leave him here like this. He needs our help." After a few seconds of persuasion, Saneko finally agreed and walked over to the man.

The man looked up at Saneko with a mix of fear and desperation in his eyes. He was missing an entire leg, and he begged for mercy, pleading with her not to kill him.

Saneko put out a green aura around the man, and within moments, he was completely healed. The man was shocked that Saneko had healed him.

Saneko looked at the man and asked, "What happened here?"

The man's eyes widened, and he stammered, "I don't know, I don't know! Please don't hurt me!" Still thinking Saneko had murderous intent.

Pikku stepped in and reassured the man, "Don't worry, Saneko won't hurt you. She's here to help."

Saneko rolled her eyes and turned back to the man, "Now, can you tell me what happened?"

The man took a deep breath and began, "This desert used to be a city, a beautiful city with towering buildings and bustling streets. But then, a man came and destroyed it all. He turned everything to ashes. I was the only one who survived."

Saneko's expression darkened, "When did it happen?"

"Last night," the man replied, fear still evident in his voice.

"Another city destroyed." Saneko sighed. Saneko turned to the man, "Thank you for telling us. We'll do everything we can to stop this man and prevent more destruction."

The man nodded, still shaken.

Saneko closed her eyes and lifted her finger, focusing her energy on the ruined city. Her aura shone a bright green as she channeled her magic, and the rubble began to shift and move as if it were alive. The buildings rose from the ground, the walls and roofs reforming themselves. The once-dead population of the city began to live again. She had done this before, but Pikku was still in awe of Saneko.

Once the city was fully restored, the man turned to Saneko with gratitude in his eyes. But as he looked at her, his expression began to change. His eyes glazed over, and he seemed to forget who Saneko was, as if his memory of her had been erased.

Pikku looked at the man, surprised by his reaction. "Why did he forget about you, Saneko?"

Saneko turned to her, her expression serious. "The man doesn't have retrocognition like you do, Pikku. He won't remember what happened here, or what I did to save him."

Pikku frowned, feeling a pang of sadness for the man's loss. But Saneko's next words brought her back to the present.

"I'm going to use my power to track down the man who did this. He needs to be brought to justice."

Pikku nodded, but then she realized that something didn't add up. Pikku looked at Saneko with a puzzled expression on her face. "How can you detect someone you didn't even know existed?" she asked.

Saneko smiled at her, "It's called perfect clairvoyance. It allows me to see anything, anywhere, no matter how far away it is. I can even see things that have already happened or are yet to happen."

Pikku looked amazed. "Wow, that's incredible. I didn't even know such a thing was possible," she said.

Saneko nodded. "Yes, it's a rare ability that not many people possess. But the Demon King possesses all."

Saneko detected him and saw the man standing on top of a building, his aura glowing with an otherworldly color. He was about to impale someone with a deadly energy beam when Saneko grabbed Pikku and teleported them both to his location.

Suddenly, the aura was extinguished, leaving the man stunned and confused. He turned around to see the young woman standing a few feet away. He noticed that his flame was blown out by Saneko simply clapping her hands once. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. "Who are you?" he yelled, his voice laced with rage.

Saneko remained calm and collected, even in the face of the man's fury. "I am Saneko," she said, her voice carrying a hint of authority. "And I am the Demon King."
